I've always proofed bread in a warm place and used more flour while kneading and today I learned both are wrong. Tried Paul's method and my bread turned out better than I ever imagined I could produce !! Thanks so much Paul !

I know right? Salt & pepper hair, those bedroom blue eyes, & the cat that swallowed the canary smile added to the fact he can cook & bake... that's lucky gift-wrapped! Wonder if I could get one of him for next Christmas? (if he cooks, my husband wouldn't mind a bit. LOL!)
It's the bread WINS hands down for me. Not sure why I have his book with his making all of the breads on here. :((( Rapeseed oil is healthier than olive oil. Omega 3, 6 and 9

Olive oil is more stable than rapeseed, it doesn't produce aldehydes when it gets hot, unlike many other oils. Aldehydes are carcinogenic. Olive oil is also an authentic oil as it's produced in the same country that foaccia originates from.

I made this once a few months ago and I don't even like potatoes (so I didn't use many slices) and not only did it taste heavenly, my first thought was, "This needs more potatoes!" I've been saying ever since I need to make it again, and I am, at last, today. Of course, with more po-tay-toes. Thanks, Paul, for sharing this recipe!
Did you cook potatoes first?
@@ashleyburton4772 No; just slice them nice and thin, and they bake up along with the bread. It feels a little like magic when it all comes out perfect in the end! :-)

Tried this and just ended up with a sticky mess on the bench, the dough never came together.
