Turning my fish tank into a TURTLE TANK!

I started with a baby turtle in a 20 gallon long and he grew out of that tank in a year I had to upgrade to a 50 gallon.

I have the same setup in a 20 gallon long aquarium, and I finally trained my 2 red ears to eat in a separate container! The particular food I feed them will stagnate the water in 2 days if I was to feed them in the actual tank. My turtles really love sardines, fresh chicken breast, and canned tuna! Most of the store bought reptile food is preserved with some pretty bad chemicals like BHA, BHT, TBHQ, and ethoxyquin which is in store bought dog food. Those chemicals have a half life and some are used to make tires and used as gasoline stabilizers. So ya, No Good for pets. It'll eventually kill them. But good pet food companies (if they even exist) don't always use preservatives, If you can find them! Also those pebble stones are real river rocks and will absorb foul odors and are hard to get the stink out of once food starts to breakdown. My turtles are almost 2 years old and are quite large for their age! I've been taking care of turtles since 1987 when I was a kid and the best place for them to live is in a real pond or lake where no humans are gonna deliberately hunt them and harm them! Obviously but some of these people and kids should realize that killing turtles is a highly punishable crime, especially if the turtle is carrying eggs! 🐢🐢🐢 Btw!
