Thank you for sharing! I have one of these filters, which came with my tank. I was thinking of adding a second filter to improve the water quality. Now, I can simply add additional filter media. There is plenty of room inside this thing anyway. You’re right about having to constantly buy those filter cartridges.

seems like for the added cost keeping the stock cartridge setup (I get the build your own option which gives 24 cartridges for about $16) and adding the media and biomax may work out the best (the stock cartridge is basically mostly just a carbon filter and a floss bag).
Can you add a link for each product to your video description? I found a red ear slider turtle 🐢 at the lake. Now I have a 60 gallon tank with a filter suitable for up to 90 gallons. Or add a time stamp in video description for each product that you have inserted pictures for.
Take the turtle back to the lake. Look at like taking a person out of a nice 3 bedroom house and putting them in a no bedroom efficiency. Would be depressed🐢
@@burtman9649 my husband found a red ear slider in his work parking lot leaving work yesterday, no water around except and ditch. Looks to be a hatchling like can’t be that old at all. He didn’t want it to die so he brought it home and now we have a pet turtle named Tuck 😂 at any rate we went to out local reptile store and spent like $300 bucks to get this turtle the best habitat possible. I guess I wanted to say all that to ask, would you have left a little hatchling with no others around in a massive warehouse parking lot? I just want to do the right thing ya know and if we should take it back I will!!
The Bio media should be changed every 6 months or so and the sponges last a very long time just take some water from your tank and wash it in there and put it back in. The sponges and media have beneficial bacteria that helps the tank and your pets. You can changed the sponge when it's breaking apart they usually last a while!!
New to the turtle game yuuukk loll questions how much water should a turtle tank have and does the repot filter have water on the inside? Mine just has it near the bottom not full? And the holes on the bottom do they get clogged?
i have this exact time filter, do i just pour the carbon inside the filter, wouldn’t it leak out and go in the tank? i’m just confused of where to put it

Just upgraded mine to the TetraFauna 140 GPH Statuary pump. Flow is much better.

What size Fluval Aquaclear sponge do you use for your Reprofilter?

How often do you change everything? Do I have to change the bio media and if so how often? Also, the sponges? How often do I replace them?

Can't really see where the biomax is by the sponges. Did you stick it on the inlet side or the filter side or just underneath the sponges.
You linked to the pre-filter media, not Biomax :( Also looks like you used the 30 gallon sponges and not the 50.

Try putting some rocks or decorations to help it reach the rock

put the carbon in a mesh bag and put that into the filter

A I just purchased this and the water was crystal clear but when I woke up this morning it was really foggy.. Any tips
I would try doing a water change, if it's still cloudy, your tank is still probably cycling.
@@joethepetpro9889 yeah I didn't put the min water that's why it wasn't working and once I added more water it cleared up the water very well

I didn't put carbon in the filter. I just said if you wanted to you could do that, because it takes away odors and discoloration from the water.

Does fluval sponsor you because doing this is supposed to make this cheaper but then you are buying a ton of stuff for more than you should
