    U just got my first motorcycle yesterday. 1985 Honda magna 700. Bought it off my older brother. So far it’s so awesome!

      Got one last year. Super nice bike. Faster than one would imagine for a 700.

    I just picked up the same bike recently and it was missing the battery side cover. I found only one on ebay in the same color. I bought it for $120. I was broke but bought it anyways. Cool Video.

      Nice!! They are kinda hard to come by. I bought the bike with both sides and my first ride it flew off. Aw well

    This was a great video.
    Have a 1985 Suzuki Madura, 700cc V4.
    These bikes are fast and comfortable and look good. High center of gravity leaves a lot to be desired.
    Sounds awesome too

      @@Xpunkpro Doesn't corner very well. Also if you mess up low speed in a parking lot, if it's going down there's no stopping it.

    As mechanic for over 35 years number one upgrade is oil kit to get filtered oil to cams. Oil comes from transmission and wears out camshafts prematurely.

      @@timkis64 thanks for the input! I have heard that about the 230s. I ended up putting a 777 on the front and I’m still burning up the rear!

    Question where are u findin ur parts at.. i have a 84 and i cant find hardly anything i need? I wnat to change the exhaust majorily but when u changed urs did u have to re-jet? Some folks tell me yes some say no

    • @OlsonsGarage
      @OlsonsGarage  หลายเดือนก่อน

      That’s my most asked question and unfortunately there arnt a lot of places you can find new parts. A lot of the parts I’ve put on the bike have been used or “universal parts”. As far as jetting goes, it seems fine, I’m gonna wait till I put on my new slip on and get some new spark plugs and recheck everything! I’ll make a video about it when I do!

  • @johnnybigpotato2404

    Notice any improved gas mileage by chance, with the new exhaust?

    • @OlsonsGarage
      @OlsonsGarage  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Not really! I haven’t changed any jets yet! I’m going to be doing a full service video on the bike soon! I’ll get some spark plugs and see if I need to change jets and then when it warms up I’ll make a video talking about what I’ve found with the exhaust swap!

    First off, Where are you finding any aftermarket parts for the Magna. LOL!
    I've had to make everything myself so far. No one makes crap for this bike.

      Honestly, Facebook market place. I found my 4 into 1 from a guy 2 hours away and it came with a bunch of other stuff. I’ve been able to find windshields and other parts bikes. Unfortunately you are right parts are really hard to find!

    you missed 1 very good upgrade, this upgrade would be the best investment u can make, take ur honda, this works with any honda, take your to to the dump , and toss it, go get a real bike, even a little moped would be a major upgrade
