After the kx250 fuel valve leaking even after replacing it a couple times i change change it out for a unit with reserve and a fixed barb! This unit is for a ttr90 and it works great! thanks for watching!

I was impressed with the great handing this bike offers and the amazing brakes! the suspension wasn't the best feeling with the front forks being a little too soft for my liking. over a great bike! Harley shocks on the Magna? You betcha! With a little modification and some persuasion I got the Harley shocks installed and they feel alot better! Next we will rebuild the forks with new seals and some new oil! Thanks for watching!

At 37k miles hows your valve clearance, have you done changing the shims or the timing chain?
The clearance was good the chain is great! No noise!

@@alitoroganan2442 spec book say 16,000 but a lot of people push it to 32,000 most of the time it’s fine then too

Was your 4x4 shifter shaking really bad when you could hear the vibration?
It wasn’t shaking to bad but the noise was really loud!
If I look down at my 4x4 shifter it’s shaking pretty bad and if I hold it from shaking the vibration lessens so it must be similar to your problem, I’m going to get a rebuilt and hopefully that fixes it, thanks for the video.
Okay make sure your driveshaft isn’t messed up! I had mine balanced it was like $100

I've heard 929 have gearbox issues unlike the other blades.. Any truth?
@@stefan-stocksmadesimple5241 i haven’t had any issues on this bike but I have heard that 2nd and 4th gear can have issues! This bike has 37,700 miles on it so it could have just been some bikes?

Oh man! In 98 or 99 I bought a CBR F3, and as soon as the F4i came out I ran to the dealership to get on! The red and black version but I’ve always! Wanted a 929 :) Especially the Respsol paint scheme. You have a super awesome bike! I currently have a 2024 ZX-10R, but my heart is still in the F4i. Nice video!
@@thomasusowski2155 that’s awesome! My brother has an f4i and that bike is great!! The 929 just feels a little wider but other than that just a torquer f4i ! The new Kawasaki bikes are awesome! I love the old school plastics too! Thanks for watching and ride safe!

@@erick1313ify how much is he selling it for? I wouldn’t recomend this as a first bike or even a second bike, it would be a great 3rd bike! It’s kinda a lot to handle power wise!
@OlsonsGarage 5k 25k miles it's in really good condition I checked it out and everything I've ridden dirtbikes and quads before but never something like this before.
@@erick1313ify that’s not a bad deal. I feel little better about you getting it, I would take it very slow and feel the bike out! If you wack the throttle it will pull the tire up quick! It’s a fast and nimble bike. If you are easy with it you will be fine. When you get comfortable it’s going to be awesome! Where is the bike located?

V65 magna is I think the best overall bike. If you can get a good one, and completely maintain it, then you've got an absolute beast.

@@baucelabs1159 with the old tip it had a lot of back pressure. I put a new tip on and it sounds a lot better and pulls hard!

I have the same bike. I'm having difficulty with my shifter shaft seal. I love the 84 vf700c.
So I watched both your first test video and this one... and the one thing that struck me as funny was watching you sit down while stick/mig welding but stand up and tig weld when first starting out. Not saying you can't but your a lot more stable to get in a nice seated position, brace your arms off your table/work piece and be super stable. However, you were learning a new skill on a new machine so keep on learning and having fun!
@@coryjohnson2314 yes that was my first time tig welding and I had a hard time getting comfortable. Since this video I have sat down and it has been much easier! Thanks for watching! I’ll have a year review on the welder coming up soon! It’s been great so far!

At 4 mins, what are you moving? I think you said shaft play?
Yes so there is a bearing in there that wears out when the slip yoke get stuck and the bearing is then pushed into the case and wrecks the shaft play and caused the vibration!
@@OlsonsGarage what does the slip yoke get stuck on? The rear output bushing?
@@codytolman1982 in the rust belt the yoke can seize onto the output shaft. Most of the time that’s the issue!
im on my second set of 712's.never had an issue with them.seem to wear well.but the 230's i had cracked up horribly in 4 to 5 years.but barely wore at all.harder compound?
@@timkis64 thanks for the input! I have heard that about the 230s. I ended up putting a 777 on the front and I’m still burning up the rear!
So how did you get the exhaust on the left to cross over to the right? Did you find a kit or something?
@@narciso19G the 4 into 1 header is all individual pipes going to 1 collector located on the right side!

Would yo drive let say 1.5 hour staight and feel comfortable?
Yeah, if it were to tour on this bike I would big the biggest windshield I could on it! And make up a back rest. Better suspension and bars make a big difference! I’m going to be putting risers and dirtbike bars on it soon
How tall are you im 6.2 6.3 its driveble with front high way pegs mods?
Its ok to drive for tall rider? What do you recomend?
I’m not very tall. 5’9” but there is some room for a tall person but I would say any taller than 6’3” you will start to feel cramped. The highway pegs are nice just to get your feet out front. I’ll have a video coming out soo but I would really look into stiffening up the rear suspension. Im 190-200 lbs and it bottoms out often.

Would you be comfort eanogh to drive long stretches 2 hours drives and back. What kind of mods do you recommend for taller and comfort for long rides?
@@BillyWang-vs4jr I do have a video of top 5 magna mods. For 2 hour rides for a taller person. 1. A comfortable handlebar set up will greatly change the way the bikes rides. 2. Windshield!! Get a tall windshield! The wind push back on this bike is crazy! 3. highway pegs so you can streak out. 4. Some sort of back rest! Some Magna come factory with an adjustable driver back rest! There are going to make riding so much nicer for you! Thanks for adding to the chat!! Let me know how it goes!
This is the bike I learned to ride on. 1983 V65 Magna. I miss it man. No other bike rides like this. Seriously. It’s definitely a love it or hate it bike.
Yes agreed! I didn’t really care for it at first, it was just a bike for my wife and I to ride around on. after the exhaust and other stuff I did, I love this bike! Super fun nice loud exhaust! Fun bike!

@@Semajeshorter the v45 is a fast bike, the v65 I have heard is the really fast bike! I would build a drag race v65!

@@zinnzeal360 I don’t know of a rebuild kit, you might be able to buy a good used engine. I have noticed it’s really hard to find parts for there bikes

Question where are u findin ur parts at.. i have a 84 and i cant find hardly anything i need? I wnat to change the exhaust majorily but when u changed urs did u have to re-jet? Some folks tell me yes some say no
That’s my most asked question and unfortunately there arnt a lot of places you can find new parts. A lot of the parts I’ve put on the bike have been used or “universal parts”. As far as jetting goes, it seems fine, I’m gonna wait till I put on my new slip on and get some new spark plugs and recheck everything! I’ll make a video about it when I do!

I have a few V4 Hondas. I changed the boat sound by drilling six 1/2 inch holes in the end baffle. Sounded a lot better but I ended up taking all the baffles out but the one farthest in. Sounds amazing now

I ride an 84 V30 and its just as quick , maybe faster ..then there's the death wobble at about 150.haha woooo , keep the rubber on the road!!... still, A huge thanks to others posting practical how to's!! ...
You're absolutely right about those handlebars. The cruising market has some of the worst handle bar designs ever invented. Which ironic, as you're suppose to be able to cruise, which I guess doesn't mean tour, but look cool at all cost. It was the worst idea the Japs ever stole form the HD crowd...😂 😂 Many sport bikes are more comfortable to ride than "cruisers." p.s. I thought all Magna's had square head lights?
I agree with you so much! My 01 CBR Fireblade is more comfortable to ride than the Magna with the factory bars! As far as the headlight go, the 82 and 83 had round headlights and the 84to 86 had rectangle! Most 84 to 86 or 87 were 700cc and not 750 because of import tariffs

Man I believe this bike if you add a high rear suspension, window bar , dyna rear fender, Fairing club style (the high one) and the gas tank which is the problem
Will look super nice club style bike with the smallest Bagot of money
Suspension is next and I want to find a rear fender too and cut it high! It will look sweet when it done!
