I would like to point out that the Mathmech player also could've killed Josh with Terahertz by having Terahertz send multiplication and activate multiplication targeting terahertz to make it an 11,000 attack monster.
I’ve never seen a mathmech player actually do math. They make accesscode or terahertz with blind faith that it’ll kill
And I would like to point out that multiplication is a bad card that should not be played

There are only two constants in Joshua's life:
1. Opposing Mathmech players have Circular when they need it
2. Opposing Exosister players have Martha when they need her
math and exo are the same deck but different typing
Exosister player not draw Martha for turn challenge: difficulty impossible
If that Mathmech player just made Splash Mage instead of Update Jammer they would've won lmao
After winning the championship, Konami should have awarded Josh with a starlight circular ngl

josh is 100% right about this. Every time it's a maxx c dropped by the turn 1 player after they set up board, it's usually a waste of time because you're basically racing against an opponent with a massive lead who then drops a large unavoidable spike strip behind them to prevent you from catching up ever.
Thats just the bad state of YGH when every card is stacked into every deck cause they insta wins every game on thier own.
I used to be a maxx c in master duel pusher because it was “different” but at this point I’m just tired of it. Master duel feels like having to win 3 coin flips in a row sometimes.
And people still think it's healthy and necessary for the game.

Unless you're in current ocg format, just calamitu lock them with centurion or mannadium after maxx c

Can not be used if you control more cards than your opponent.

Mathmech had the kill but decided to be dumb about it. Going update first when had exceed in hand is a move. If he seriously don’t have any link 1 or 2 pointing down then he’s still dumb for putting exceed in the deck
There's no shot they're not at least playing Wicckid or Splash Mage.
The mathmech player was probably throwing intentionally or just picked up the deck since his hand was insanely good.

Terahertz is not bad card if it have aggregator and wind pegasus to be sent to the GY. Mathmech Terahertz is currently popular combo among mathmech deck

This reminds me, what ever happened to that format Joshua was planning a while ago?
You know the one where he banned everything he considered unfair
He went overboard and everybody hated it. Sure, everybody wants floodgates gone. But going for the board nukes that deal with set 5 pass monkeys and especially Apollousa and IP, wich are the only things you can reliably can sit on to survive turn 2 against many decks was overkill.
@@joanaguayoplanell4912 I mean I am no fan of generic nukes either but I don’t know what people expected of something that was only done once and never rebalanced.
The Kuchen Format tries something similar and they don’t have that problem anymore after a few tweaks.
However every time a new lower tier gets added it starts with control until people figure out the other options

If Maxx "C" would get an errata that states that it can only be activated if you control no cards on a once per duel, would that fix it?
Still would be amazing going second, but yes should make it less of a necessity.

I don't think that's enough to balance it. It needs another thing like if you don't win before your next end phase you lose the duel, also you have to pay life points until you only have one left, and even then people will still play it.
Just ban it, it's better for everyone
Maxx c going first feels fine keeps combo decks in check but going second against a established board then they drop Maxx c is just stupid plenty of times I have the outs to the boards but what’s the point if you just going to give them everything they need to rebuild

Maxx c just needs a change. The concept is good in keeping things somewhat even and speeding up games. Maybe make it so you cant use it with a full board? Or a certain amount of things on field etc.
denying that the card is overpowered does NOTHING for us as players, it IS powered. If you’re winning entire games off just ONE cards power. Its too much. Simple as that. Its only because of the sheer salt it would induce they haven’t banned it
