The new BBs are great for infernobleknights. Dempsey searches any lvl 4 or less fire warrior, so you can get some good splash or just run it as an infernoble engine
Now we just need a "Battlin' Boxing" rank-up magic card. It'd be nice if it were a quick play. Maybe something like "Rank-Up Magic - Battlin' Boxing Heavyweight" Quick-Play Spell Effect: Target 1 "Battlin' Boxer" XYZ monster you control; Summon a "Battlin' Boxer" XYZ monster that is 1 rank higher and attach the Target and its material to it as material. If this card is activated during the Battle Phase, even during the Damage Step, you can attach it to the Summoned monster as material. You can only activate this effect of "Rank-Up Magic - Battlin' Boxing Heavyweight" once per turn.

If Volcanics get support then I'd be interested to see if they do anything with Blaster, but I don't think Blaster lines up very well with the Battlein' Boxer archetype.

The new rank 4 is the most broken card of the bunch. It searches generic fire warrior, including shadow, a guy that specials summons itself by detaching an xyz material. So now any rank 4 is isolde(if tou use superheavys also without normal) Another thing to mention is the fact that it quick detaches by effect from any xyz, so it can trigger easly uppercutter for a reborn and can trigger champion sargas. Not to mention that this guy searches just on special summon
If there is ever a practical way to SS uppercutter, you can go uppercutter effect search sparrer, SS sparrer, overlay for dempsey, dempsey effect add cross counter and just like that you have a monster negate and a summon negate.
Konami is genuinely knocking it out of the park with the legacy support lately, first we had an archetype built around hungry burger, now volcanic and battlin boxer support, and none of it is floodgatey bullcrap. what a time to be alive

With C79 boxers can make a 6 material Zeus. Xyz summon 79 use effect to attach 1, rank it up to c79 (it has 4 now) battle use effect to attach an opponents monster. MP2 make Zeus (if you didn't lock yourself to boxers) and you have a 6 material Zeus. Sidenote if you used RUM numeron force you negate everything that else that is face up when you rank up into c79.
I might just start playing this just because King Dempsey. Who doesn't want to Dempsey Roll their opponent? 'Oh you negated something, let's see if you can negate these fists'

So if I'm reading it right the Cydra/Rescue Rabbit one just needs the opponent to have a monster period it doesn't care if you already have monsters or even if they have more.
That xyz searches ANY fire warrior btw. Battlin boxer might actually be competitive with the right build. There are literally no down sides to any of these cards
Considering I never got rid of my Battlin' Boxer deck from 2012, I am beyond hyped for the new stuff. It'll be great to dust them off and kick some ass again. Doubt it'll be anything meta-defining but they're a fun deck and sometimes that's all you need.

It sits as one of my personal favorite decks and the fact that the only way to make them "playable" until now was as an add-on to Infernoble Knights (and not even good ones) was such a letdown. one of my least favourite developments in ygo lately is that whenever any fusion consisting of male-looking monsters or even any artwork depicting more than 1 male-looking creature comes out, a bunch of you go "look, gay sex! these lads are banging!!11". it's annoying... and what's more annoying is that if I made this comment on twitter I would get called homophobic by numerous straight white people that wanna collect internet points, while also getting RTs and support from mysogonists and kanyes... it's tough these days to have an own opinion without agenda
The v sauce synchro can search some cracked cards, but good luck consistently summoning it in any of the lore archetypes besides manadome because of the light monster requirement.
The BB Rescue Rabbit is insane, but the BB lock makes it bad, the new boss monster is playable, but it definitely isn’t good enough, and it prevents the XYZ archetype from going Zeus going second.. rip. Also BB has no other good boss monsters. The counter traps are also flimsy, all playable, but just not good enough really compete. It doesn’t matter if you don’t use up your normal when there’s no other good BB monsters lol and when Zeno lock, the end board just too underwhelming. MAYBE it’s meant to be a go second deck, but still, I don’t really see big OTK potential. Amazing support but the lack of a Powerful Boss monsters make it too weak to compete. They need a control type boss monster with a strong disruption effect, or … floodgate to be able to compete.
The Boxer cards are crazy, completely patches a lot of the decks issues. The deck is far far away from broken, but this support makes it capable of competing in the modern day.
I would love to see some random fluffal reprints and or maybe a fluffal support like fire ones this time for no reason lol. like edge imp stake(which hunt theme) and fluffal crow and a fusion munster that spesificallu lists stake +1 or more fluffal and if you used crow you do some crazy things. all except crow can be fire like a burning witch since basically all edge imp monsters are torture devices lol
im hoping for Performage. reinterpretations of Flame Eater, Plush Fire, and the anime exclusive Fire Dancer, alongside a FIRE version of Trapeze Magician (maybe call it Ring Master, with a fire ring aesthetic). I mean, they are a "burn" archetype after all
as crazy as it may sound, i think people will end up not playing the guy that specials 2 from the deck, the xeno lock is just too extreme and the BB extra deck monsters are too mid on their own. I could see variants splashing other engines tho (isolde-warrior pile, utopia).

as crazy as it may sound, i think people will end up not playing the guy that specials 2 from the deck, the xeno lock is just too extreme and the BB extra deck monsters are too mid on their own. I could see variants splashing other engines tho (isolde-warrior pile, utopia).
