It's like in MGS4 when he zapped like six soldiers with electricity from ceiling lights. I think he can control electricity but doesn't use it in combat because the enemies are too fast to use on right away, so he does it when they are weak.

This game is great. People may not have liked it cause it's not a stealth game, but holy shit, the upgrade system, the bosses, the soundtrack, the replayability... this game had a lot going for it and it definitely deserves a sequel.
And the final boss turned out to not be a final boss but rather a stronger final boss inside a big robot final boss waiting to show you his pro football skills.

The scariest thing is this could actually be possible in the next 200 years. (not from a physics standpoint, but from a technological one) We already have cyborg tech, (brain machine interfacing) a new prosthetic arm that has a connection to the brain just like a real human arm. And we really do have CNT muscle fibers that can contract really fast and are super durable and can lift thousands of times their own weight
It does though keep in mind even though he doesn't have the iconic muramasa HF blade yet his current blade is still an HF blade meaning it cuts better than any normal sword

I remember first playing MGR, being a long-time Metal Gear fan. The Metal Gears are terrifying, the MG RAY boss fight in MGS2 was horrifyingly belittling. So when I watched as Raiden fucking clashed blades with one, and proceeded to fucking throw it over him whilst the music screamed 'RULES OF NATURE', I was instantly fucking sold on this game.
It's only just occurred to me that Ray is such a threatening machine that even after being yeeted into the sky and having one of it's arms sliced into 50 pieces, it's still able to fire some pretty accurate shots at Raiden.

For most people, blocking a 50 foot tall robot's arm with a katana, tossing it into the air, then jumping after it and cutting the arm off would be the achievement of a lifetime. For Raiden, it was just another Monday morning.
*Narrator voice* : He would then go on to run and jump across several missiles, sprint down a clock tower a la Kingdom Hearts and then slice that same robot clean down the middle. Most will never achieve this. Raiden did it in 10 minutes.

That's the moment when you realize it's one of THOSE games.
I remember first playing MGR, being a long-time Metal Gear fan. The Metal Gears are terrifying, the MG RAY boss fight in MGS2 was horrifyingly belittling. So when I watched as Raiden fucking clashed blades with one, and proceeded to fucking throw it over him whilst the music screamed 'RULES OF NATURE', I was instantly fucking sold on this game.

It's only just occurred to me that Ray is such a threatening machine that even after being yeeted into the sky and having one of it's arms sliced into 50 pieces, it's still able to fire some pretty accurate shots at Raiden.
Keep in mind that Ray is not even anti personal. It's designed to fight other metal gear.

I had initially liked the idea that Rules of Nature was Raidens theme because of his need to be on a battlefield and constantly moving from one prey to the next for the meaning in his life to valid, but listening to your interpretation has changed my mind. For most people, blocking a 50 foot tall robot's arm with a katana, tossing it into the air, then jumping after it and cutting the arm off would be the achievement of a lifetime.
For Raiden, it was just another Monday morning.
*Narrator voice* : He would then go on to run and jump across several missiles, sprint down a clock tower a la Kingdom Hearts and then slice that same robot clean down the middle. Most will never achieve this. Raiden did it in 10 minutes.
