forget game, how can any piece of media ever reach this game's dialogue quality
I mean...Planescape: Torment exists.
Outer Wilds for me. And there will be more great games in the future, I want to believe.
The reaction to the Insulindian Phasmid made me tear up. Man, what a good game.
The literal definition of "When you see it..."
"There's not, like, 25 stats, right?" Correct, there's 24 of them.
"Kim that makes a lot of sense and that PISSES ME OFF >:(" LMAOOO
2:40 Oh god seeing Tomato outside of his usual environment is always so jarring lol. Thanks for the jumpscare JamrockHobo!
Thank you so dearly for keeping up the Disco spirit, Jamrock Hobo. This game and its world means so much to me I love whenever you post
10:00 “I hope I don’t get some kind of freaky psychedelic nightmare” famous last words…
2:29 "Impale all people who have more than 25 reál in their pocket"
"YES!!!"
Harry you literally have more than 100 in your pockets right now...
Bro thinks he's Hasan Piker
Not in the same pocket!
@@Company_Rep "death to the baby colonizers!"
Hasan: is a Turk 💀
@@Ja_ck00 Divide it into four different pockets and you're fine
ah but harry is absolutely the kinda guy to knowingly advocate for his own execution as a reactionary and counter-revolutionary
So many little things divide us. They keep us from loving ourselves and others. The age-old human tragedy.
And yet, we can all agree on the innocent, childlike joy of attempting to arrest Garte because we're too broke to pay him.
Especially for his sexual crimes that should be punished in sex prison.
Trying to send Garte to horny jail is a universal human experience
12:53 What I imagine Harry is thinking every time Kim says something on an INT/FYS playthrough
@10:44 "Disco Asylum" had me in stitches 🤣
dicequeenDi's reaction at the end of the video was incredibly similar to mine. I remember just sitting there, my jaw dropped and being amazed, and after going through the emotional wringer not too long before... it was a beautiful bit of storytelling for sure.
bricky AND dr k playing disco? its a dream come true!
0:11 "Who is you? A RACIST!?!"
I'm dying out of laughter! 😂
Amazing edit!
Great job Jamrock Hobo!
Actually, which streamer was that? I'm just having some difficulty finding their playthrough is all. ;A;
@@subject56778 CoriCoriCorii - had the same difficulty lol. Love these edits, and would love to have link sources and/or names on screen for future ones.
@@PersonWords I still can't find it... I searched for it and nothing comes up
Finally, the video I can show my friends to try and convince them to play this game without spoiling anything.
well, there is one spoiler! (and a non spoiler clip afterwards)
God I love this game. I watched Tomato stream some of it, and the first hour or so was so good that I had to stop watching because I knew I needed to experience it all myself.
EDIT: SPOILERS
Genuinely, the end phasmid moment, after a massive 8h binge session of Disco, where I was TAKEN IN by the world, the inner dialogue, how much of a mess you could be, it was such a redemptive thing, like despite all the horrible things you've seen and done, you can reach out to this pure creature, speak with it, and like have something to share with Kim, (and the world, if you succeed), like it's absolutely amazing that you can just totally miss this; going back to the researchers after this is also so cathartic, the end reaction is absolutely bang-on :)
That and it encouraging you to keep going, for the people too, after you've been shot and are kinda wrapping things up is such an uplifting thing in a world where a lot seems to go wrong, god it's such a once-in-a-lifetime thing that you can point to a story and say its a good representation of what a medium as a whole can do.
Tomato screaming yes as they talk about killing everyone is hilarious
Looking at measurehead, saying "he is correct," then cutting to another clip made me laugh so hard it physically hurt me.
don't ever stop these videos, I can't get enough Disco Elysium content :)
This video was glorious. I absolutely adore that this game continues to resonate so resolutely throughout the gaming world.
I didn’t know Dr. K. played the game on stream, awesome! Im gonna watch that
Even though you do did him dirty, since I can imagine he said nice out very different reasons than the clips made it out to be.
Mainly, because of his past explorations with intel’s and such
I would never... :)
1:52 hahaha the look on Dr K’s face is the best.
he's just so happy. i love him at 4:51 too
The best roleplaying game ever!
I will never stop wanting someone to deliver similiar skill integration into the narrative dialogue with the player. The fact you don't play as Harry but technically his conscience is just so good.
You do not, under any circumstances, "gotta hand it to measurehead."
*But the potato acid*
This feels like it's from Kim
gotta give him these hands tho
Why not? Great character, and the info he presents, although twisted by ideology, has real life underpinnings. That's what Dr K was praising.
@@Arbitrary_Moniker Dr K was referring to the fact that he'd extrapolated eugenics out of real life concepts and ideas.
So I think it's the eugenics part
that second to last clip is just
i love seeing people smile at that part
"Let's not have a race war... ACTUALLY!"
That's so disco
"The race war starts nowww!!"
- Woolie
It's been a couple years since I played and I still love this game like a brother
That electrochemistry line abt sticking liquor up the rear may be a reference to pre-Columbian mesoAmerican liquor enemas.
Encyclopedia [Formidable - Success]
That's certanly a sentence
@@ladymoont4479 lol, I originally wrote "Aztec", then second-guessed whether it was the Maya, Olmec, or Aztec ppls (or some combo thereof) who practiced that, so I used the generic term rather than bothering to check. (Ftr, it was the Mayans, per wikipedia. They also likely mixed the alcohol w/ psychoactive substances.)
Actually still a modern-day thing! If I remember correctly it goes under the slang term “boofing”.
(Edit1: Corrected Typo)
@@formerlyorange My suspicion is that the game was more hinting at the latter rather than at the former.
"RACIST?!"
* immediately shows a clip of 39daph *
What did Jamrock Hobo mean by this?
how the fuck did I miss Dr.K playing disco Elysium lmao
I love that every clip of the Healthy Gamers guy is just him seeming to unironically vibe with everything Measurehead says 😂 like I imagine he quit playing the game there and just went out into the world fully radicalized
Did not know Savanah Brown streamed this entire game, so off I am to watch her full playthrough, but I just want to say me and her had about the same reaction to the Phasmid. That being immense shock and awe.
1:30 Hauh?? Dr. K continues to be wild out of context
Cool to see Daph featured
Do you know if she stopped playing it? I can't find vod for part 6 anywhere :((
@@saturn2999 same question
the phasmid moment gets me every time.
I audibly gasped when Savannah appeared!! I used to watch her content 10 years ago and then lost track.., now she plays Disco Elysium! Waaaa!!
I really enjoy this out of context video man, no joke. I watched Dr.K and daph vod after that. Keep up the great work 👍
Vibing that Sims music
Holy shit I didn't know Dr K played this game, I'm definitely watching that later
the phasmid twist for me was the best part of the ending
The fact that its the buying music from The Sims in the background makes this video all the better
3:13 BRO THIS HHAHAHAHAHAHA
Seriously?!?!
Convincing Kim to dance is one of my favourite moments in gaming ever. Luckily my build was strong enough to do it on the first roll but I'd break my oath not to savescum just for that if I'd fail.
Every time this game goes on sale go back and forth on buying it because of all the rave review, but it never looked like something I could see myself getting into. This video finally inspired me to buy it, had no idea it was this funny
There are many, many interesting ways to die. Like breaking your neck in the very first scene, or dying of discomfort because you had one HP left and the chair was REALLY uncomfortable
The reaction to the (spoilers) phasmid was similar to mine. It was an amazing moment
I do wish you put the names of the streamers when theyre on screen, otherwise great job as always Hobo Man.
Yeah, the description doesn't help at all since it's not even in order. Anyone know who the streamer at 1:14 is?

11:59 I literally had the same reaction when insulindian phasmid appeared, i was in awe
That one girl that said "Alexa play Girls like Girls by Haley Kyoko" made my Alexa go off and play that song i started busting out laughing.
I am so full of joy that this random video that appeared on my recommendeds featured Pat and Paige
Finally, a sequel! I love you, Jamrock Hobo ,the most active member of the DE community especially on the reddit ❤
when you fail a roll and you are obliged to make Kim experience a microaggression

Disco brings out the best in people
I been saving disco Elysium videos to watch them while i study or clean and just now notice they all are from you channel you are very good
1:51 - YO is that the gamer therapist guy?? Should I be concerned??
The one and only Dr. K! Him being suspiciously appreciative of Measurehead made me do the pt 2 haha
Don't worry, he's just expressing renewed interest in racing
What is up with that therapist! 😂

The Legend Hobo is back!
0:17 I heard this while looking away and could not tell if this was an actual dialogue option or not.

I'm tempted to get this but I think most of it would go over my head.
I guess I could actually study for it...
I haven't laughed so hard at TH-cam in a while, thanks
i didn't know sav played this! i'm gonna go binge the playthrough after this lol
ANOTHER JAMROCK HOBO BANGER
I love how you can tell how far into the game they are based on how deep their logic has warped to be like Harris.
It’s the only game that ran with “I follow no law but my own and I’ll fuck up anyone that says otherwise”
And made me feel like a little bitch when I wouldn’t just have fun my first play through and enjoy myself.
