The unused music went on to get used in the video game. But I wish we got Cross Rip in the movie instead of Magic. Cross Rip really lets the feeling of impending doom sink in.

I love Ghostbusters, but who is the one who was giving orders to cut such good scenes (regardless of the fact that they don't contribute anything to the story) gb 1 and 2 have thousands of Gigabytes of good deleted scenes that we'll never can watch
I've always wondered if that cop to the right of Walter Peck with that creepy grinning the teeth look on his face was the same cop that called him pencil neck before the explosion.
Wouldn't have mattered. Even if Peter had let him inspect it he still would've tried throwing his weight around and demand it get shut down for whatever reason he could think up. He was already there under suspicion that they were breaking the law to begin with. Peck's character was a parody of the way some EPA agents acted back in the day. Overbearing and with a massively inflated sense of authority.
I would love to watch the reconstruction of the film, but the link you've posted in the description is incomplete and does not take me anywhere. Is it still possible for me to watch it?
I think for people who don't understand the meaning of it, facist is more to insult people they hate, kinda like how communism was used to refer to people you didn't like during the cold war
The containment unit was built out of the basement of the firehouse by walling off a large section and energizing the inside of the walls with a grid of fields like the traps use to keep ghosts inside. Though they refer to them as "beams" in the script rather than fields. When the power is cut the explosion isn't from the containment unit's energy being dumped but rather the sheer amount of spiritual/PKE energy suddenly being released after being packed into the unit like sardines in a can.
Peck: "They caused an explosion!"
Me: "Wrong, Peck! You did that yourself!"

A combination of all the various Blu-Ray releases. Mostly the Preview Cut that was included on the 2022 Ultimate Box Set
