  • We just moved to the other side of the world, from the US to Okinawa, Japan! We are so excited to share our new tropical island home and lifestyle with you. Check out what we have been up to and what we have planned for the future. We have already gotten to try some of the amazing food, check out the beautiful, white-sand beaches, and of course sample some of the awesome rock climbing.

Nice move! Could you maybe make a video on how you moved with your cat? I also have you ever taken a road trip with your cat? I have 2 kitties and I would love to be able to take them with me if I go out of town but I don’t know how 🤔

Great idea! Japan is a rabies free country which makes it very difficult to bring a pet over. However, we used the steps listed here: www.petraveller.com.au/blog/bringing-your-pet-dog-or-cat-to-japan-all-you-need-to-know as a guideline. We did drive across the US with our cat and I recommend spending time getting them comfortable in a carrier as well as using a mild sedative if recommended from your vet. We also used this foldable litter box and bowl: amzn.to/37hM90E which made it really easy to transport food and litter. Also if you are planning on flying with you cat make sure you get an airline approved soft shell carrier like this one: amzn.to/3qfM9qz that fits under the seat.
Hopefully that helps a little bit. I'd love to make a video about this in the future!

Us too! We had the opportunity to move here for my work and we jumped on it. I think it’s so important to see and experience other cultures and we wanted an experience that was completely different than the US. So far we are absolutely loving it and have gotten to do and see so many things I never thought we would. Life is about experiences and getting outside your comfort zone, so if you ever have the opportunity to live in or travel to a new country I say take it! I’d like to make a video on this topic in the future.
