At soft to you, Brock. Oh my God, how objective and how gracious you are in your analysis. I am a born and bred Alabama fan. I moved to Seattle in 1990 and the Huskies became my second favorite team and sometimes my favorite team because Alabama was so bad and I lived here. I became a fan of you as a football player. And, I have listened to you on the radio in Seattle for several years. And I am a fan of you there. But this interview with Alabama homers by you is my favorite moment ever with you. What professionalism. And you are so spot on accurate in your analysis of the coach, the higher, and the insightinto understanding people and developing loyalty. Magnificent.
I’m embracing this hire. But, what did Lane Kiffan do 6yrs ago to not even considered? He was the only choice. I love Stallings but we could’ve had Bobby Bowden. To not be an option, what is his baggage? Why did he get fired? Is it a personal conflict with someone very important? Was that placed above what was best for the university.
Like the comment about players team. Coach is the CEO but the players have to buy into his process. Bama was at its best when the team vets took charge of player issues. If the coach gets involved it’s normally to drop the hammer. Players policing players is a win win.
Between LT’s promotion of DeBoer for a season or two, and Brock’s insider info on the new coach, I’m pretty damn excited to see what this guy can do. Still sad that the GOAT won’t be on a sideline anymore. But I think this hire is a homerun. Only Smart or Harbough would be bigger and better and more proven coaches. But all this cat has done is win. Now he gets the keys to a Lamborghini. Let’s see how it drives!
Look... the secret to DeBoer's success in Alabama is going to greatly depend on his ability to and the amount of grits he eats... not a grits eater, probably not going to succeed in Alabama.
Wtf is grit? That doesn't sound like something that's fit for human consumption. I would not be surprised one bit if he wins at least 4 national championships while he's at Alabama. I would be surprised if he wins more than Saban (w/ there being more playoff teams to get through now), but of all the coaches to do it, he would be the most capable.
I’ve missed you guys since going off the radio. Glad I found your channel!

Succeed not replace. We wish him well....ROLL TIDE!
This is a great interview. Brock Huard knows the sport and the dynamics of a winning culture.
Coach DeBoer just got the keys to the RedBull F-1 car.
❤

Harbaugh? Lol Harbaugh would've been disastrous. Kirby, though, would've been the perfect fit.
IT IS COMPLETELY ALL ABOUT HIM!
He needs to figure out recruiting ASAP
Hopefully he brings some of his players with him that are good on offense and defense!
Dan Lanning had no H/C experience and has been pretty successful.
Who the hell thought he was Harsin?
Barners
Jimmy Lake didnt work . Get a Proven winner as a Head Coach . Go Dawgs
Deboer has to know Grubb would instantly become the best coach for UW. I hope UW hires Grubb just to screw Alabama and DeBoer.
Bama set to hire Kalen Da...Da...not gonna remember that name in 10 years 😂
Your right... however you won't need to remember, b/c he'll still be coaching there and probably have 4+ national championship trophies.

Bama is in trouble....

Washington's defense was pathetic
If you are not from the SE part of the U.S. you would not know what grits are... it's a cultural thing.@@aidankeller1717
It was good until the 2nd half... the 2nd half is where Michigan's superior training shined.@@gingobellz4800
