      If you're moving the chain you can cause it to start. It's no different than pulling the cord.

    I noticed he did let go the tip of the bar after adjusting the chain slack right before the bolts were tightened.

    I love the 592. We need high powered saws. The 592 revs high the power is up top it's a great saw.

    How tight should the chain be if you try pulling it away from the bar? I find it hard to judge the amount of slack needed (or not!)

      You want it to pop up a little, but not enough to see the catch teeth.

    I love my 240. I can't get the plastic clutch cover back on after inspection and cleaning. It was also hard to remove the metal band from the clutch when I started. The metal ring attached to the plastic cover won't go over the clutch when re-installing the cover. There is no damage to any components and I'm a 40 year mechanic working on small engines. I hope someone reads this and can help.

      Did you ever get this fixed? I am having the same issue now with mine!

      Pretty sure the 240 has this style of chain brake

      I used the 7/16" wrench to release on my 236.

      Need to reset the clover shaped chain brake in the side cover, rotate clockwise to reset, then slide into place making sure the chain tensioner pin seats into the hole in the guide bar! 👌🏼

    This is so much harder than it needs to be to get the chain over the bar. I can’t get it. Seem to have the right chain. Love the saw but stihl is more user friendly.

    • @brady2758
      @brady2758 ปีที่แล้ว

      Really nit that hard. Never touched a saw and it took me 5 minutes to figure it out, put the chain around the sprocket first then you have room to slide the bar on and put the chain over the tip

    • @brady2758
      @brady2758 ปีที่แล้ว

      Or the bar can be on just make sure the chain goes over the sprocket first

      Make sure chain brake lever is pulled backwards before attempting to remove the side cover! 👌🏼

    Husqvarna should team with ripsaw and figure out how to get even more power out of saws.

    literally for what reason to you need to be messing around with the spark plug to replace a chain. By the way your products start, it would take a trained professional 15 minutes deliberately trying to start up your product to accidentally turn it one while changing that chain. Ridiculous.

    Husqvarna chainsaw should be recalled, their products have wasted a lot of time and heartache for many consumers. US consumer agency should demand Husqvarna to recall all of their products before a class action lawsuit being filed. Thoudsand of youtubers have made video showing how to unstuck the clutch cover.
    Enough is enough for this stupid design to vanish from the US market.
