After spending an hour of getting frustrated and going no where trying to figure out why I couldn’t get the clutch cover back on, this video helped me troubleshoot the issue within 5 minutes. Now my 440 rancher is back up and running thanks to this professional and very helpful video. Please make more sir!

This is a chain for homeowner saws, and as a homeowner in the Southeast who doesn't really count wood by the cord th-cam.com/users/postUgkxbs4FIpzuLyOJe2SesfbtvXi1CTnUXroD I have this (or 20BPX) on several saws at different levels of smallness. I've never felt that the safety chain is holding me back. I buy multiple chains, and when the installed one doesn't feel grabby enough, I file it, then throw it in a cup of gasoline while I rotate to the next one. I have yet to file one down to the wear lines, so I feel like I'm getting my money's worth, and I'm happy about this new 3-pack - although, at this rate, it's going to be awhile before I buy another. I don't know why I would try anything else.

Perfect- so clear. Up until now I have always taken the saw to a pro and paid to have it unlocked. I especially appreciate that it was not full of wasted chat or branding or let's-be-friends content. Smart, clear, straight to the point and completely businesslike. I really appreciated this.

Wow! Wow! Wow! Thank you Thank You THANK YOU! I was in the middle of a very serious flooding situation in a large RV park. Trees down blocking service and emergency vehicles. My Husky Rancher was the only saw big enough to get the job done. Tried to put on a new sharp chain. Did NOT know I had to have the saw break OFF first. What a total pain in the butt! Lots depending on me to get it working. Finally gave up and turned to You tube for help. A LOT of Wanna Be Experts who THINK they did a good job. But compared to you they ALL totally SUCK! NONE of them explain the chain break issue, let alone how to solve it. But you did. I had several RV units floating away in the raging torrent flood. And I had several sunken boats - all due to downed trees. Thanks to YOU and your GREAT contend I was able to once again get my Husky Rancher usable again. All other wanna be Husky how to change a chain SO SUCK compared to you. All the sexy tricks they show PALE in comparison to you. Thanks again! Your video saved many tens of thousands in damage. Same problem on my (smaller) Jonsered Saw. Wrench and screw driver didn't work... but having watched your explanation of how the brake works... I was outside for almost an hour trying to get the stupid cover on today. I didn’t even get to cut trees because of it. This is the dumbest design they could have came up with. My smaller Stihl has the clutch assembly inside so it isn’t like this one. The cover comes right off regardless of the break being on or not. Other than that it’s a great chainsaw. I am so thankful for your video. It’s very well presented and easily shows how to fix this issue. Last time it happened I had to take it in to be fixed as this video wasn’t on here. Just so happens that I have the same chainsaw (Rancher 455) and experienced the same problem. The brake engaged after the blade and chain got pinched while cutting up a tree. Couldn't get the brake to release, so I removed the brake/clutch cover and started troubleshooting -- then, couldn't get the cover back on because, unbeknownst to me, the brake was engaged. This video helped A LOT. Got my wrench, screwdriver, and went to work. You're correct that it takes a lot of leverage, but I got it done and reinstalled the cover. Thank you!!!!

You saved my clutch cover. The manual only contains a minor note that release chain brake, and not a single warning about what will happen once you miss it. I did. I then spent half a day with all the professionals presenting how easy it is to remove the clutch cover - which was apparently impossible after this point. Luckily I did not force the lid, but I got stuck. I only found a voice synthesizer backed up video that slightly mentioned, only a dealer can reset the brake. Your video is probably the most important Husqvarna howto. Thank you.

Really well done! I couldn't get a good grip on the case cover so I placed two screws on a board that was on the ground. The screws were placed at 11 o'clock and 5 so that when I turned the wrench clockwise they held the case in place and the spring snapped back into unlocked position. Thanks for this video.

Thank you so much this was exactly what the problem was for me. I got a 440e powerhead for 179 like new dude used it for 2 hours broke the bar and returned it the same day. I picked up a bar and chain and couldn't for the life of me to get it to work. I watched this video after watching one to ensure I put the chain on proper(only experience with echo, chains go on the same way lol) this popped up right behind it and I'll happy as clam in mud that I got a brand new 440e for less than $230
