What size mm carb? I tried but a Nibbi PE30 and it was too powerful for my hawk seems like. It was burning the spark plug and giving wayy too much fuel.
Got this exact exhaust and carb combo sounds great but I still top off at like 55 with street tires I’m trying to find a way to bring it up to 70Mph
this gives it more power but you need to change the gearing if you want to actually go faster, stock 1st gear ends at like 8--10mph but you can switch to 17/45 and 1st gear will take you to 18mph with a top speed of 65ish, gotta find the gearing that works for you

If you don't mind me asking exactly what tire type and size you running, I mainly use my bike for road use and want a more street spec tire
Do u have a baffle in the exhaust or a DB killer? I want the JFG exhaust but I don't want to wake up my neighbors when i commute to work at 5am..
No there's no baffle or anything, it's definitely pretty loud on cold starts haha I try start it at the end of my drive way

How did yo get the exhaust to fit up into that rear bolt. Mine won't fit
Others have said theirs fit just fine but mine didn't so I used a couple zip ties real tight

How's the shock working for you I wanna get one but there's mixed reviews
ive had no issues with it at all, I don't do much hard riding with this bike though just road miles no offroad stuff
Hey Bodie I love your vids, I actually built my hawk just like yours. My question to you is does your battery die all the time? I got a new one and it still does.
Also how do you cold start it, the kick never works for me I always have to bump start it. 😂
When it's super cold I have to raise the idle a little bit and it starts with the starter just fine. And I keep my bike on a battery tender so whenever it's parked I just plug it into the wall. My stock battery was dying all the time until I did this lol 😂 I never actually bump started this bike

Hey did you use the same stock rims that came with it?
What size jets do you have in the carb? I have that same thing with the same exaust but I can’t seem to find the right settings between jets and the needle
I got pretty lucky the stock jets worked great for me, I live at sea level
Google "nibbi carb elevation charts" and you should be able to find a good starting point. Everything makes a difference including your exhaust so it takes some tinkering to get right. Also adjusting the valves is super important if you want easy starts
