    Back in the days when music meant something. Not only did you need talent to make music like this, you needed heart. It's a crime those days are gone.

      Saw them twice in Roanoke Virginia at the old Bergland Center where many bands in late 1970’s began tours. Was Avery high energy show and sound was super. But despite Gary and Allan being so great something was missing. Don’t get me wrong I’m enjoying these two shows and stilll have the albums but the crowd wanted Skynyrd and would never get them. But live Gary Rossington brought it every night RIP

    • @igoski1582
      @igoski1582 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@georgegaylord I know what you mean, "something was missing". IMO, what was missing was Ed King, Artemis Powell and Johnny Van Zant. It was at this point in time where these 3 guys were missing in the lineup. Them, with Billy, Leon, Garry and Allen could have come the closest to recapturing the real Lynyrd Skynyrd line up after the plane crash that could ever have happened. But they didn't and I think it's sad it didn't happen.

    • @igoski1582
      @igoski1582 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@googleusergp Yes. Sorry, I got Artemis last name wrong. I never knew this was the reason why Artemis was not in The Rossington Collins Band. But after his leg healed, he should have been in, and Derek out. Also, back to the closest to reforming Lynyrd Skyanrd, they should have gotten Ed King and recruited Jonny. That would have been the band right there.

Ronnie also wanted to record a country album w Barry.

      Had Ronnie VanZandt gotten the opportunity to do crossover to country man oh man would it have been excellent, if you listen to ' Four Walls of Raiford' it's pretty bluesy and really Allen had an excellent singing voice, this Barry Lee too, & of course, Steve Gaines had a fabulous voice, all of them I bet could sing, did anyone every hear Gary Rossington sing? I bet he could have belted it out too, rest in peace all of you stars, you shall never be forgotten.
