Thank you for doing this gun review. I was literally going to write you yesterday and ask you to acquire and test the Strike One and dawg gonit if you didn't already know what we wanted. THIS is why I have always subscribed to Iraqveteran8888. You truly have the pulse of the shooting community.
I got mine a few weeks ago, I ordered it with the trigger job from the factory which lowers the pull to 4lbs. The gun feels like it's part of your hand with its low boar axis. Outstanding firearm
Great pistol! Excellent review! I've had my eye on the Arsenal Strike One for a while (since Shot Show) and I've wanted to do a review of it on my TH-cam Channel. However now I don't have to because you guys once again crushed it! Great job and I'm looking forward to more gun reviews from you guys!
When I leave the UK and live in the US I am going to get one of these first. Glock reliability, 1911 ergonomics and that low bore axis. Outstanding weapon.
HEARING PROTECTION ACT!!!!!!!! they are trying to remove suppressors from the NFA!!!! EVERYONE NEEDS TO DO EVERYTHING THEY CAN TO GET THIS PASSED. that would be so awesome!!!! ERIC you need to do a vid about it and spread the word.
+constitutional libertarian Not going to happen when our society is deemed irresponsible to own surplus or weapons manufactured from communist. Have no issue giving it to Cartels & Middle East > Merica
Liemciemdk89 its possible. despite all the anti-gun propaganda every year we actually get more of our gun freedoms back more and more states are passing gun friendly laws.
+Liemciemdk89 if we're always on the defensive and never gaining ground then we'll eventually be beaten. at least until the anti gunners become to weak for us to worry about
+constitutional libertarian Thanks for the heads up, I got some emails sent this morning. Every time I watch a video on a suppressor, I see people complaining about the NFA, well this a chance to take a big chunk out of the NFA and start bringing the giant down.
Steel Shooter agreed. i dream of a day when the average person can get suppressors and full-autos. the full autos will probably never happen but we can dream =) hopefully we can get suppressors tho. i can just hear the dumb anti-gunners comments about it lol they will probably say "well if everyone has a suppressor anyone can murder someone in a house and the other occupants wont even hear it." which just isnt true lol they probably think they actually make guns silent.
I think most of us take it for granted, me included, on how well done these videos are from the editing to the content. Just wanted to thank you guys for putting together such top quality videos and being model representations of the gun owner community. Keep up the good work!
I have one. I bought it a few years ago after I saw a video posted by Vickers Tactical. If you point it at something and want to hit it, you won’t miss. Super accurate.
Excellent review, I love gun reviews that focus more on the gun as a whole rather than only reciting a spec sheet of numbers. After seeing this I am totally interested in picking up a Strike One if I can find one!
Most of people don't understand bore-axis is not same as recoil-axis in semi-auto pistols. But with revolvers yes, it is the same. therefore in semi, height of the bore axis doesn't influence muzzle flip that much as most of people thinks. Only a hand full of people understands this fact. I think engineers at SIG does, and a Czechoslovakian gun designer of this new gun and caliber(I forgot the name of it) definitely does. But here in U.S. only met 2 shooters knows this, and they are both a physicist and a engineer.
awesome seeing battle ground firearms get some shine! I live right around the corner from them. They're real nice guys and helped educate me when I bought my first guns. A gen 4 Glock 19 and my DPMS AR-15 in 6.8 that was already properly outfitted. I'm looking into getting a KSG with a surpressor from them next
Hey Eric, I had to jump on this right away because something just seemed so familiar when I saw the title of this video and started watching. In the first minute I recognized that gun and I was right! Here in Utah we have a locally owned and operated by veterans company called Rain6, they do weapons education, training and sell guns and gear. They also carry the Arsenal line and promote it heavily. They are a great group of guys. Just wanted to give them a shout out and was excited to see you reviewing a gun that they are trying to increase awareness about. Great vids by the way keep up the awesome work!
I'm a bolt gun nut! But you know what? I love your channel! We love you here in France, we are loads to watch and like everything we can learn and see from here. Thanks a lot!
I still have a bunch of questions. What's the trigger weight? How short is the reset on the trigger? How much does the gun weigh overall? Does it have a setting option to not drop the magazine? What kind of safety features does it have? How ambidextrous is it? Also I'd like to mention that for pe who don't know what that hole is in the back of the slide, it is the firing pin exposed. It's good for when your in dark areas, you can feel it. Also if your trying to be quiet, you can feel it protruding (or not) to know the weapon is cocked. Seems like a great gun. Would love to know these details.
+Joshua Burton (Scientific Spartan) Welll, I was going to write something like what you did, but they never said it was a review, not on the title or description. They are just discussing some good and bad points as the description says.
Well for one thing, the protruding firing pin is EXTREMELY obvious but not very often. They just completely ignored it. Also I don't remember them saying anything about safety. Those to me seem like a high priority. Sure i could have looked up my own specs but they could have easily cut out 10 minutes of the video by saying something about the gun instead of the 57 times they said they love shooting it. Lol. I still like the video. Nothing wrong with it. I am just a very curious man. Ha.

I disagree that 1911s or HKs sit low, they don't. Only the newest Rugers and the newest Beretta do and they only sit as low as the M&P, Glock and the XD - which is to say nowhere near as low as the Strike One or its cousin (my fav) the PL-14, or even the GSH-18. Which was my point, the Russians are on to something that neither western nor eastern Euro pistols have caught onto yet. I'm certain they'll get there.
"it's Western Europe with the Sig and HK's, that are behind the curve on this." Maybe I misunderstood, but that sure sounds like you said HKs sit low, and they do. You must be a 1911 fan, because you seem to be in denial - 1911 are among the worst for bore axis above the web of the hand. You don't FEEL the effects of that height as badly because on average 1911s have less mass in the slide and more mass in the frame (or rather a better weight ratio between the two)..
No I'd consider the HK USP and P30 to have a very high bore axis, similar to the Sig 320 and classic series. That's why I think in the competition world Glocks, CZ's, 1911's, M&P's and even Berettas seem to be in the winners circle, while Sigs and HK's and older S/W third Generation (while excellent guns all) are not commonly very popular as choices compared to their military police popularity. I've had several 1911's, currently just a ruger 1911 I like ok, but they are "fun guns" to me, kind of of like my Vaquero's As above with a beavertail and undercut trigger guard I think they kinda split the difference between the lower bore axis guns, and the very high ones. They can have great competition triggers though.
Just a slight correction. This gun is a copy of Russian Strizh gun which may or may not be adopted for Russian special forces. Strike one is market version of the same gun with very slight ergonomic design changes by italian designer. All in all this gun is invented/designed by Russian engineer Dmitry Strishinsky who collaborated with an italian designer Nikola Bandini to allow Dmitry to enter European, World and American handgun market. Although, Arsenal Strike One are manufactured in Italy as it says on the gun itself, it takes away from true recognition as an original Russian design. Due to sanctions we will continue to hear an Italian designed/made hand gun. Very unfair IMHO, as I believe this pistol may very well become the top competitor to Glocks, HKs etc, and may one day itself be a benchmark standard for other gun manufacturers.
From what I could find researching on the internet, the starting point cost is $800, add shipping and tax where it applies and that is a costly gun. I see at one online site they go for $1079.00. If the cost can start to complete with American staples around $500.00 I would give it a consideration. Time will tell.
+Dillon Hughes I understand that this might be the next big thing. But I have CZ's that I Cajunized for less money that I am will to bet could go head to head with this gun and perhaps better. This is a new gun and there is little aftermarket support for it. Glock's on the other hand can be customized to the nth degree. Then you got HK VP9's and Walther PPQ's that are great right out of the box. I just don't see this price point for a new platform that I believe I can match with better options. If this had come it at competitive prices I would already be looking at it.
+Pepe Roni There is a gunsmith site called Cajun Gun Works. This gunsmith will either put custom parts in a CZ and tweak it or sell you the custom parts to put in yourself. The process of putting the parts in and tweaking the CZ is known as Cajunizing. If you look up Cajunized through a search engine and you will find more info, also put Cajunized in the search here on TH-cam and you will find many videos on it. The process takes a really nice gun (CZ) to a really sweet level.
The Diamondback FS9 is VERY similar to this. It also breaks down like a Glock and you can replace the sights with any Glock type sight. Beretta mags can also be used in it if i'm not mistaken. I love mine with no problems at half the price of a Strike One. Very fun, very smooth gun to shoot.
Strike One is discontinued in the U.S., but PMG a new company founded by Arsenal Firearms, Salient Arms International and PRIME Ammunition is going to release 2 improved versions. Stryk b, the compact model should be coming out around Shot Show 2017. Would love to see your guy's impressions of these new guns considering you're the ones that really turned me onto the Strike One.
I'm glad you finally did a video on it but, in few months they are releasing the Strike One Speed and I would love if you did a full review on that one. It is about $200 more than the standard but comes with a lightened slide, IPSC barrel and competition sights.
Cool! Battle Ground Firearms is located in La Porte, Texas. I live near there and my friend Kameron works there! He's awesome and very knowledgeable! check them out more often. They're coming out with a more compact Strike One Combat early 2016. Might be a carry option. there's been more buzz about this than you might think. I was watching reviews of this pistol more than 6 months ago. my curiosity led me to finding out about the Combat model.
Apparently, it's no longer made or imported here. Also I've seen several incidents of misfire and failure to load. Is this because of their feed-eject system or just poor quality? Can the handle straps be changed?

How much is the price?

HOLY HELL! Chad is a hell of a shooter. A pistol cant do that much work for you. Impressive
When I leave the UK and live in the US I am going to get one of these first.
Glock reliability, 1911 ergonomics and that low bore axis. Outstanding weapon.
Too late. Demos are gonna ban them.
Did you make it here yet?
Thanks for you reviews, guys! Always appreciate the coverage, the detail, and the fact that you talk about guns that are a little off the beaten path.
"That crap never gets old. I love it!" - my feelings about the IV8888 chanel.

Best two liter vid on the internet! Hanging 'em high and then destroying them over and over is very cool and very funny! Nice shooting!
Interesting looking gun!
Guys, you've made this channel one of the best on web. Keep up the good work. Never tired of seeing those soda bottles bite the dust.
Barrel length is 5 inches, exactly as gov. 1911 - it is made to fit the IPSC production division requirements.
I still have a bunch of questions.
What's the trigger weight?
How short is the reset on the trigger?
How much does the gun weigh overall?
Does it have a setting option to not drop the magazine?
What kind of safety features does it have?
How ambidextrous is it?

+Joshua Burton (Scientific Spartan) In the time it took you to type out those questions, you could have looked up the answers yourself.
+Doctalen I consider these videos entertainment. Maybe you should make your own video reciting the spec sheet.

Thanks for the review! It was great, as always. You guys really know your guns! : )
I absolutely love that the web of the hand can sit so high up. I think American gun manufacturers should take note of that.
+Billy Wardlaw 1911, M&P and most modern Rugers do sit relatively low, it's Western Europe with the Sig and HK's, that are behind the curve on this.

Didn't say HK's sit low, just the opposite. 1911's are kinda between the two, but still better than HK's, Sig's, 1-3rd Gen S/W's, Ruger P series etc..

I love this pistol, I like the new version even better. The Type B
just imagine
what if it was 7.62×25 not 9mm ?
what a great pistol ?
abo aifah 7mm tokarev is not as available as 9mm, but one in 375SIG will be cool
abo aifah This is 9x19mm

Great shoots. Eric
I've been drooling over the "Strike One" since MAC had it on his channel a while back...
The Barrel is rated to 50k rounds before replacing. Also the gun is designed to use +P+ ammo.
I have been waiting FOREVER to see this THANKS GUYS THIS IS WHY WE WATCH YOUR SHOW ! Btw Low bore is the future
One of the best GUN channels going . Keep it up fellers .
thank you for your service you guys! nice to see some vets shoot guns.
Every since I've been subscribed....You guys have always done a thurough job describing the details...Keep up the great work👈

how was the trigger? The reset? anything about the trigger would be great.
thanks guys.
Been waiting forever for this to come out.
Sooner State Arsenal Oklahoma City Oklahoma, had mine for about 6 months. You will not be disappointed in this firearm.
The more I watch videos and reviews about this gun, the more I like it.
Just got my Salient Arms Strike One Tier One and I love it, as a matter of fact I am buying another tomorrow.
Sooner State Arsenal LLC in Oklahoma City is the importer and I bought 4 when they came out last November and all I got to say is AWESOME!
Good work guys. Nice gun!
man i love you guys nice review!
great video guys !!!
thx for the review
Nice shooting, Chad!
Cool! Battle Ground Firearms is located in La Porte, Texas. I live near there and my friend Kameron works there! He's awesome and very knowledgeable! check them out more often. They are very cool guys! Tell Kameron that Andy sent you and say hi and get to know them. Derrick is the owner. Thumbs Up if you have shopped at Battle Ground Firearms in La Porte, Texas!
Looks like Chad has put on some serious muscle !!!!!!!!!
love this channel
Great looking shooter
Great Video lads -
Battleground Firearms the only one bringing it in? Huh? They are imported by International Firearm Corp in Oklahoma City, OK. See the inscription on the rail starting at 3:50. They are also sold by Sooner State Arsenal in Oklahoma and Rain6 in Utah.
awesome video!
I have handled this gun twice... The trigger is OUTSTANDING out of the box!!!
In my opinion, is one of the best gun out there (in the polymer family at least).
Personally i like the "pyramid rear sight" it give more "target view" is is faster and more natural that the "full flat rear sight" (i understand that can be cumbersome for those who have different habit).
You should check out the Diamondback FS-9. It only comes with one 15 round mag, but if I remember right, it has a locked barrel design similar to the Strike One AND the price is $250. Not bad.
Ummmm no... That gun is nothing even close... Diamondback firearms are turds... Keltec 2.0's
+dmxisraw Have you actually put rounds through one?
I have, and I firmly disagree with your "opinion". 1000 rounds 9mm FMJ(Wolf) through a DB9FS, one FTF.
The DB FS 9 uses a Browning tilt mechanism, not at all similar tip that in the Arsenal Strike One
You're correct; I was wrong. The Strike One has a locked barrel design and, as you said, the DB has a tilting barrel design. But the bore axis looks lower on the DB then on a Glock, so I don't know...
Lol can't believe you compared a db too this..
Выглядит, как будто его специально создавали для точной стрельбы, возможно для спортивного применения.
Very cool little gun, been around for only a couple years or so.
Bend at the waist and shoulders forward gents and it lessens the recoil and faster follow up shots.
Exelent Review :)Thanx for sharing!
low recoil with awesome accuracy wat a nice pistol
Holy shit, those guys are right down the road from me and I shop there all the time.
Good shootin fellas!
nice looking gun thanks for sharing
great video. fun to watch. :-)
Does that beavertail dig into the web of your hand? It looks like it comes to a point almost.
diggit. awesome looking gun, looks like a solid shooter. The want monster rumbles..
Bill's Gun Shop & Range in fargo has these awesome pistols as well
Un des meilleurs pistolets parmi les 5 meilleurs
Nice little pistol
Very cool! I can't find a listing of the handgun on Battleground's site.
Great video! I'm interested in the Strike1 Pistol!
Have been wanting this beaut for awhile. and the LRC-2 Chassis system with it with the 12inch barrel.
Chad 's arms are getting big!
Where can parts be found for this piece??? Thanks!!!
I miss Barry.. Dang . Your a good dude. Keep it up.
What kind of camera do you use for your slow motion recording? Thanks! :)
any chance Moss Pawn will be getting a few in some time?
That muzzle flip lookin like your shooting a 22lr 😂 lmao f'n sweet
compact. yes.
how's the trigger? was that mentioned?
awsome gun
They're coming out with a more compact Strike One Combat early 2016. Might be a carry option.
there's been more buzz about this than you might think. I was watching reviews of this pistol more than 6 months ago. my curiosity led me to finding out about the Combat model.
So any news on the struck one
Might have to pick me up one of these.
Eric you and the boys at Moss, should try and do a song by shooting the different targets.
Did you guys know they made a model with a rear dovetail and adjustable rear sight? Has a nice wide rear sight.
This gun is very impressive in its accuracy.
I see that you are using +P ammunition. Is it civilianized or does it use the same over pressure rounds as the military pistols?
They need to offer this in both compact and subcompact models.

Is the Strike1 available to the general public?

Yankee Marshall did a vid on the Strike One a year ago, but not as extensive.
