Polymeters are great! Another trick I use when I create baselines with filtered toms is to use the M-185 Sequencer and mute the second note of the 8, so it plays 7 notes and starts. This creates an amazing low end feeling. Super interesting video as always! Thanks for sharing
@@sharayenpather4934 you can use any tom sample from 909 or 707 drum kit, then apply saturation and a high cut filter to remove everything above 300hz and you are good to go. Just experiment 🧪
100% with you, bro. Good to finally find out the teacher’s name 😅. Paul imho hits it to the point every time. No bullshit talk just sheer useful information.
Great video as always, but I wanted to ask if you plan to do a video about using different time signatures. Many people get confused about this, and I'm sure you can explain this subject better than I can.
Very good info. Funny thing is that when I play techno rhytm's on my keyboard, it kinda always ends up in those shifted bars. But then I correct them, but then I loose the feel. So thats exactly what you show here! I like your content. To the point and very well info. Altough I'm more into peak techno I like this raw techno style too. Do you release music too btw?
Yeah it’s very common to tend to go back to these numbers…especially when the grid is set that way, it push you to stay in that 2/4/8/16 length pattern. It definitely apply to peak time techno as well, this is very effective to break monotony, even if the element is secondary… I haven’t released in years, but planing to released more next year… got couple of hypno track and more ambient techno ready, but I am not gonna lie it’s hard to handle all
hi, greetings That's a funny coincidence! I jammed a bit last night and also brought the EQ8 to life with an LFO. but I wanted (again) too much of a good thing. Then I'll try it right away with your method. Have a nice weekend and best regards Björn
ive never thought of using polly rythums into textures and things like that . i find it hard too get away from the 4too floor 8 16 bars . coming from a hardhouse and trance background its hard too stray away from the 4too floor patterns and bar length ect awesome brother
it's called polymeters. and yeah I think we all start with 2/4/8 bar loops and feel always very weird to have pattern with weird value that are not bars... I still have this especially with ableton where the grid i design to push you use bar length that are like 1/2/4/8 etc... I have less this with step sequencer as you see the grid in a different way...
you have to grab your hard techno beats, play them 20 bpm, and getting them with a lot of reverb and delay, to make industrial dub, and then just grabbing some footage of warfare (i.e.: WWII or palestine, or russia), and play a live act like that
Finally you created a Patreon! I'm obviously one of it's first members 😄👍
Thanks a lot, I really appreciate!

nice one will try !
I'm 100% trying this. What tom did you use ?

I love how you say "polymeters" great content always. In my country we say "polyrhythmics". Thanks man you help humanity with your sound
ok interesting because we also say polyruthm but it's a different thing than polymeter
Every time I think you’ve peaked, you hit me with something new. Mad respect for the consistency 🙌

Great suggestion!but tbh I always use the same time signature, might be something I need to dig into
_Very informative, thanks_
you're welcome !

Automation is #1
Yes, but also hard to find the balance between not enough and overdoing it
Modulation is #1!
Very Good explained and straight forward. Thanks
thanks a lot !

great video !!
Thank you!
thank you
You're welcome
Using hardware for me is the simplest way, even if you’re using it to automate parameters in your daw
Definitely, on my syntakt or any step sequencer it is more intuitive to do polymeter than the Ableton grid
FYI Alarico uses your samples in one of his masterclasses 👀
didn't know but happy to hear that haha...thanks for letting me know
6:06 !
nice sound
Thank you !
Very good video
Thanks
Please make more tutorials for peak time techno 🙏
I am running out of idea a bit for peak time techno, maybe need to go back to the basics

Haha that’s a good caricature!
@@audioreakt no, i literaly mean it
more plz i wanna make unique or different types of techno and house
for sure!
Can this cause pops or clicks ?
what do you means ?
@audioreakt because it dosent end the note with the other notes.
i was Like number 420!
ahah
😎👌🏻
😮😮😮😮❤❤❤
thanks !
Cool.
Une autre astuce simple pour faire une modulation soft : poser un LFO sur le Dry/Wet de certains effets audio.
Merci à toi.
Ah ouais pas con, c’est fou que je n’y est jamais penser mdr, merci
❤
If not repetitive, not techno. Are we making a hell of dancing music or a Beethoven symphony???
I think he is talking about the little variations or the small changes throughout the whole track
@@totonrek can be, i didn't watch the the video
@@tokateltoyoko2028so watch it my friend
So you’re complaining about a video you didn’t even watch?
@@bunici1996 nope, I'm not complaining, I'm making an observation and criticizing of what the title of the video says.
Lol good luck with thag. Techno is still a pop plague on humanity
