This set is so impressive. Marss took on the G&W and the Steve. Played completely fearless. Right after Ultimate world rankings dubbed Miya #2 in the world (while Miya has been beating #1 in the world). Marss played as if he was not retired. His clutch factor and mentality cannot be down played.

This piece of trash character can be so inconsistent (high demand on user execution, too), but she is so BEAUTIFUL: her movement, her attacks, her grace. Triumphant over DLC autopilot P2W. I know miya is a good player, but the character loyalty represented in marss' smash career is truly moving. You know why he does it, to please the people. Notice how EVERYONE wanted to see this (blowing up on youtube rn). How many people want to watch another [aegis/steve/gw/kazuya]-exclusive set? Pales in comparison. Basically every neutral interaction marss initiated was non-autopilot: no zair/nair ZSS bot. If you play like a zss bot, you get parried and die (a stray zair otherwise is like 5% damage, paltry lol). You have to play weird, keep your movement ambiguous (e.g. some empty hops, mixing up in VS out drift) to make people loosen up their shields. Obviously the opponent cannot just hold shield forever, so we anticipate what they'll do after realizing we're waiting for them to pick an OOS option. Also, ZSS cannot grab like other characters, the startup lag is so bad and we die from it MUCH more than other characters -- we've had to find other ways to combat shield. Also, notice how many times zss cannot reliably follow-up a stray hit to get damage. G&W in particular can just downair out of the combo, then zss get sent offstage/in the air, reverse the situation and deal a bazillion %. a lot of zss followup is just maintaining advantage state + anticipating their getout option and even trying to BAIT that option with spacing (if you're far away & look obviously like ur waiting, they're not gonna airdodge/attack out of hitstun). I could go on, but it's really just incredible that Marss won this.
