i played around with AC and figured i liked the sandboxyness of it most, and only then i discovered BeamNG. And i haven't even thought of AC since until this video. I just wish BeamNG had a little more immersive world, like having a human driver model, or a story to play. It's an awesome sandbox, but barely anything more as of now sadly
@@DrTheRichCareer mode (wip but very good), beammp, ai races, ai derby, lots of things you can do, but it takes quite some time to discover all of them (I play the game since 2015 and I just found out about some cool thing I had no idea existed).
The truth is that if it weren't for the modding community, Asetto Corsa would barely be a game. unfortunately AC brought a bad culture to the racing game community: "If handling doesn't look realistic or is arcade = not good"
Is handling even realistic in AC? Whenever I played ACC the cars felt like they were on ice. Tires had zero grip and brakes were non existent. Maybe it’s the fact the game has zero motion blur so it’s impossible to get a sense of your speed other than looking at the speedo. That’s what I hate about sims, they think having zero motion blur is better but it’s so unrealistic
@@theweekndxo7438 I get that. I'm no car expert, much less a racecar driver, but sometimes the car (or more accurately, my very cheap wheel) feels kinda alien. Although, I think this kinda slidiness makes drifting a lot easier: for example, I can't do it in beamng, only spinouts there. And what's with that weird-ass powercurve? Really, why in AC there's no power on idle RPM, it makes me feel like an idiot every time I stall when trying to move without a clutchdump. Add to that the slidiness, and you can't do a normal launch without wheelspin or nearly stalling. Wouldn't recommend for a "realistic" driving experience. Still very fun though.
AC is the best “car game”. Because it allows people world wide to experience niche car cultures without having to IRL because of the mod community. No other game allows you to race 90’s BTCC, race civics on the Wangan, drift every course at Ebisu, Rally, and Arab drift a Camry down a sandy straightaway all without leaving the game. It’s definitely not a game I go to for racing, but it’s the game I go to when I want to be immersed in some weeb car culture. I love it.
@@alphaenterprise2232 Zero. If you want some enthusiast niche graphic mods you might get asked for about a $1 to subscribe to a Patreon but very rarely is that a thing. I've been playing in VR (which, by the way, everyone involved with simracing should have now that you can get one used for less than $200) for a year and have spent $6 to get some PP filters and a rain shader that utterly changes the feel of a race with some next level physics for droplets. It ain't no iRacing. I'm here to play the GT style mod Evoluzione and street legal garbage cars like a Camry.
"aSsEtTo cOrSa Is AlL yOU nEeD bRO." "Why bother waiting for a new TXR game when you can just play No Hesi instead?" "Why wait for a good F1 game when Assetto Corsa mods have got you covered?" "aRcAdE rAcInG iS fOr KiDs BrO, rEAl MeN pLaY SiMulAtOrs." The racing simulator boom and it's consequences have been a disaster for the gaming community. Notice how I said gaming community and not racing game community.
Nah, the lack of arcade games isn't AC fault, it's the entire genre that lost people's interests. AC only shines because it's not draining your wallet to have a half decent real racing experience.
the arcade games erased themself NFS has a main part in the destruction of arcades.. with bad release after bad release and full ignoring the player base the sim racing community has its couple big simulators that are running since over 1 decade. (AC, Raceroom, iRacing, Rfactor and the couple Rallye games which are on their own) + GT7 which is simcade and totally crushed the new Forza and BeamNG which is a complete monopol and the only game that offers this kind of organic/ realistic destruction. they all simply do their own thing, add own flavours and quirks and the people love it for a good reason. And the arcade games have settled for Forza Horizon-esque games or silly NFS games with tons of features that nobody ever wanted. and in between some free to play games and soon Solar Crown, which looks atleast somehow like something that sticks a bit out from the others but still hasnt really flashed me on first sight and still has many similaritys to Horizon and Motorfest. Games like Burnout, Grid, NFS for tuners and the underground szene, NFS shift-esque/ prostreet-esque, Wreckfest, Splitsecond, Blur, Midtown madness are totally missing from the industry since way to long.
The elitism that people have when it comes to sim racers makes me sad. I adore games like Grid, NFS, Blur, and I’ve been playing Midnight Club 2 lately. I love arcade racers. But so many people dog on them and it really feels like AC and its community amplified the outright hatred a lot of people have towards arcade racers. It’s just a real downer. Especially since a lot of the simple arcade racing franchises are either dead or completely revised.
@@torrentplayer Not saying that. It’s more that a lot of sims more or less enhance the stigma that arcade racers have nowadays. The games in the genre don’t really help, I agree with that.
@torrentplayer it isn't the biggest deal but I hate that arcade racers have such shit wheel support. Even with games that DO have wheel support, playing it that way makes it borderline IMPOSSIBLE compared to when using a controller. Horizon 4 and Dirt 5 are personal examples I've experienced (anyone that says Dirt 5 is too easy hasn't played it with a racing wheel). Arcade racers, just like their name suggests, started in the arcades. Need For Speed Carbon and Need For Speed Underground both had sick as hell arcade ports. Outrun, Daytona, Rush, Sega Rally, Cruis'n, all games that started in arcades. We shouldn't be stuck JUST using racing wheels for the overly serious competitive sims. Let us relax and have fun and ENJOY ourselves. With either a wheel or a controller.
The elitism is always unnecessary and childish, but to be fair, in my experience, this kind of people only sh*ts on games that try to cheapen the simulation, but are marketed as the full sims. Forza motorsport, gt7 and f1 24 are good examples. Thay are all very, very fine games, but the moment they are marketed as the realbdriving sim, or the most advanced blah blah blah, they are really asking to be kicked by the full sim community.
On one hand, it's amazing what people managed to accomplish by modding Assetto Corsa, creating their own Tokyo Xtreme Racers or modern recreations of 90s Need for Speed games or recreating classic F1 grids etc. But on the other hand, it's annoying how it led to this elitism among sim racers who look their noses down on anything that isn't Assetto Corsa. You can't recreate the TXR campaign in AC even with an actual community of people, you can't recreate the caRPG elements of old GT games in AC, you can't recreate the atmosphere and customisation of the "golden era" NFS games in AC. I genuinely think the sim racing elitism played a part in the decline of arcade racers and that not only negatively affected racing game fans, it negatively affected fans of games as a whole. Also I can definitely see why the most downloaded AC tracks are just picturesque roads instead of insanely accurate recreations of real-life racetracks: driving can be very therapeutic. It's why those "sad hours in Assetto Corsa" videos exist and have so many views. I used to do something similar in NFS Most Wanted 2012 and Gran Turismo 6 (games that are hated by their respective communities) where I would just pick a car at random (and a track at random in GT6) and just drive aimlessly, enjoying the car sounds (in MW 2012, not the weird vacuum noises in GT6) and the soundtrack, feeling my stress get washed away by the experience.
I feel like the “sad hours” videos are mostly a bunch of “JDM stance bros” with $5000 setups who spends 5 hours modding the game and then playing it for 5 minutes. 10/10 comment.
NFS Most Wanted '12 and Gran Turismo 6 were ridiculously overhated by the community. Yes, naming the game "Most Wanted" wasn't the most honest idea, but people ignore that the game is actually pretty solid. However, I would agree the game lacked that "something" to be more memorable. And Gran Turismo 6...I recall a lot of people saying Gran Turismo 5 was way better. Nostalgia can do a lot of damage. Yes, GT5 was a fun game (and maybe better than a lot of modern ones), but as a GAME itself compared to GT6, was too messy. People complained how 6 was different to the rest of the series, when in reality it does the necessary to be different, because in reality, most of the Gran Turismo games until 6 are mostly the same. For the good and the bad stuff
Actually, someone is working on the CaRPG side with something called Assetto Evoluzione. The creator is basically making a GT style game using unity, and Assetto's race record system. Its a separate program that launches AC, and when you win races you get money, and can buy cars with that money. Mod cars are automatically sorted and given costs. Its not perfect, but it shows how the idea of a GT style career can work. What frustrates me, is how many sim racers specifically say they don't want an optional GT style career mode. They are against an optional career mode that gives you a sense of direction. Maybe that's why I don't hear about Assetto Evoluzione a lot.
I was born in 1970, my first "racing game" was Pit Stop for Commodore 64. What the modern racing games offer is far beyond my dreams of that time. I love all of them, I love arcade sim racing as well and, of course, I love Assetto Corsa of corsa.
While AC might not be the best racing game, it certainly hits the nail in a lot of niche spots. When someone new in the Sim scene ask what first game they should buy I always say AC. With 10 dollars you get the game and all the dlc's and the mods will keep you entertained until you can have the money and the experience to play something like iRacing. Most of my hours on AC are regular driving on scenic roads, that time spent is what made me love the game so much. Great essay!
AC (not to be confused with AC, AC, AC or AC) is like M.U.G.E.N. for racing games. Modding it, molding it into your idea of a perfect racing game is the reason to get it. That and it's cheap. So cheap that it's one of those games you can find in any Steam library. That, and the sheer breadth of the mods can't be beat. I'm not talking about cars or tracks, I'm talking shit like the HUD or indepth replay options in a generation bereft of replays in general, let alone the angles seen in stuff like old Codies games. Hell, I once saw a replay parser, which allows you to export replays to Blender. It's unfortunate that it can't stand on its own without those mods, at least in my opinion. It makes getting into it a bigger ask than games like Skyrim or other games with big modding communities, where there's a half decent game in there before you add in all the anime mods. But, I'll take that over some mobile-ported-to-PC, generic street racer slop with AI voices.
Honestly I don't think it's unfortunate that basegame is so bare bones. That's part of the reason it's so easy to do whatever you want. If you haven't ever done it, I urge you to pick any car on ac, and unpack the data and just click through the files. It's so easy to understand and do whatever you want with the cars. That's why I think it's by far the best sim for anyone that is a car enthusiast first, and someone who likes racing games second. You can also dig through the internet for sound mods and throw them on any car, either using content manager or just copy pasting them and renaming the .bank file and the guts of the guid file.
If I could add just one thing to Asetto Corsa it would be customization. Imagine joining a server like Shutoku Revival and having progression and a car to upgrade
Modded Assetto Corsa really resparked my love of racing and driving games. During right before covid i had gotten really scared of driving due to a bad experience with spinning out on the highway, but playing assetto helped demystify a lot of what scared me about driving and genuinely helped me learn to love driving as something beyond just a way to get to work.
AC is nowhere near being the beat racing game ever. Even with mods it's barely even a game. It's a racing simulator that aims to make as realistic a driving experience as possible, and it does a very good job of this. If you enjoy driving or racing then the fun is inherently there, but the same can be said of any other racing sim. Sadly as he said with the comparison to Gmod (this holds true for all racing sims) there is no attempt to take the great base physics and racing experience and make an actually fun and compelling game atound it. This is fine, it's not a problem since that's not what AC aims to be. But games like Forza horizon, and older GT games or need for speed that actually make an effort to make the experience fun and engaging outside of the driving are much better games. Heck, even the F1 game career mod is a much better game than AC.
@@theSafetyCar its a driving sim, for online racing in things like LFM its excellent.. people seem to want things from the sim that its not there to do.. fact is the importance of ffb and sim peripheral support can not be understated.. the real thing that separates sims from arcade and sim cade is that the majority of the player base are on a wheel and the sims are primarily designed to be used with wheel and pedals.. the elitism stems from this distinction and its an important one.. its common in online racing sims for drivers to pull over and wait for another driver to re-join the track if they knocked them off the road.. theres a level of sportsmanship in sim racing that isnt present at that level in any other genre ive played including other driving games
One thing that made me love this game is the VR support. Most arcade games don't have VR support, and this is the only one where I can roam an open world map with traffic with my friends in virtual reality, and do stuff like street races, goofy minigames, cop chases. Stuff you wouldn't be able to do anywhere else in VR, (Except for beamng, but the performance in that is so bad at the moment) Sure i'd love to play stuff like nfs and other racing games more. But its really hard to go back to a flat screen after you've played a racing game in VR, you genuinely feel scared of how fast you're going, and in a race where you have people side to side of you and you can look around at them, it really gets the adrenaline flowing. Add VR support to more racing games, I'll play more racing games.
Just a pro tip for those who are going to start playing modded Assetto Corsa: Be mindful and manage how much storage your mods take because it adds up QUICK. I recently stopped playing AC and wanted to allocate some space for other games. JUST the car mods alone were 350GBs. In total, every car mod, track mod, and other miscellaneous things like PP shaders or weather/cloud mods totaled to slightly more than 740GB. For numbers people, I had 1599 car mods, about 220 track mods, some PP shaders, Sol + Pure, and Content Manager UI
Definitely a good tip. But holy geez, that's a lot of cars and tracks! I'd recommend finding car packs or mods and tracks that suit what you want to do in the game. It's fun to have a massive selection, but if you tried every car and track combination you had (F$#*! That's over 350K unique setups!) for just 5 minutes, it would take over 3 years nonstop to get through everything! I never thought there was too much of a good thing before, but...
Conclusion, if Assetto Corsa Evo focuses in being the most realistic simulator on the world instead of being a racing game, it will need another 10 years to be succesfull, just like the original AC. People forget when AC launch there was Gran Turismo 6 then Sport, Project Cars 1 and 2, way before mods AC wasnt the best even if it was the most realistic
I have countless hours on Assetto Corsa. I always focused more on the racing and not so much (but still do) on cruising. I've spent so many hours just hotlapping in practice mode with varying cars and tracks. I understand this might become boring quickly for many people. Also lots and lots of random online lobbies. The moment it totally took off for me, was when I joined a private discord server and started participating in their leagues. Everything clicked with that configuration. Assetto helped communities create so many events. In this discord, we had 4 different league categories with seasons. Each season they would change the base car and calendar. They searched for good quality car mods and tracks. I've downloaded so much content through there, and all those tracks were jems. And they had a racing director, stewards, live commentary on twitch. It really feels like being a real racer in a real league. Getting to race with the same people every week is so much better than random strangers. We raced and then we discussed about our performance, we felt genuinely sorry if we crashed, and wins and podiums felt really special. The game can be daunting if you go in it alone, but if you follow a community to help you discover the best mods, then everything becomes much better.
and LFM now gives every one that opportunity with out having to join a private group.. maybe its because im a late comer but i really dont understand the criticism of AC as a game.. ive always seen it as an open source sim platform. the criticism i agree with are more to do with its age and some of its weaker physics issues like the suspension modelling.. ive not seen any of these claims AC is all you ever need.. the argument ive seen is every sim has its good and bad aspects and your preference will be what you value most from a sim
@@awakeandwatching953 LFM is great and all, but IMO it is trying to copy the iRacing format. For me the community situation is better for obvious reasons, it really is a community! But if you want a cheap version of iRacing, then LFM is amazing!
thats sim racing mate. this guy gone straight in career mode. if you just heard about Assetto corsa 2 weeks ago, you are not qualified to do a sim racing review IMO. he is the first guy i know who first bought a DD wheel and then heard about assetto corsa. is like you do FPS game reviews and you dont even know what counter strike is. i hope in his iRacing/rF2/ACC/AMS2/raceroom/dirt rally reviews he will not be surprised that there are no police car chasing like in GTA or collecting points by destroying fences or collecting barn finds like you can do in forza...
@@afshindaliri5711 I used to play in Assetto Friends. The level is varying, but they have a dedicated Rookie league that's very inclusive. The only rule is to be cautious to not wreck people. But of course it happens. Everyone has crashed into someone or got crashed. As long as it's not intentional, and not blatantly stupid, you're gonna be okay!
I've been playing this game for years and I've literally never done a real race, I just drive around cruise maps or even the basegame maps while listening to music or an audiobook. I can spend hours just driving around for no reason. It's kinda therapeutic tbh, if I'm stressed, I just launch the game and drive around, and that really helps me feel better.
AC is what I like to call a "Sunday drive sim". You play this kind of game simply for the love of driving. To me it doesn't matter there isn't a career mode or any other gameplay mechanic because driving is its own reward to me. I'm happy to just jump in and take a chill drive up a mountain road or hotlap whatever race car I fancy around my favorite tracks. And realism is a crucial aspect to that because that's simply the type of driving I enjoy. I would agree though that AC debateably isn't the best of this category as it's up against the likes of BeamNG, AMS2, RaceRoom, and I'd even include rally sims in general here.
Due to the need of constantly updating mods and searching for a lot of stuff on the internet, i decided to buy a PS5 and GT7, i work a 9-5 and then go to University at night, i dont have time to be tinkering with mods like when i was in HS I just want to hop in in the game and race, that’s why i have been enjoying GT7 so much.
Good on you man. GT7 is the way to go for those people that love cars, want to get an accurate (most of the time) feel of how they drive and just appreciate the beautiful details and intricacy that polyphony puts in their cars, without being borderline neurotic about downloading hundreds of mods to achieve the GT7 effect. Essentially, for people who are working class and don't have the time to faff around just to drive a virtual car.
@davidgavin7280 it's picked up since it was released. Admittedly, it had a really rocky start, but now it's actually really good. The physics of the game feels great, and the visually the game looks stunning. It's also the only GT to feature VR, which is also really good. It may not be the BEST gran turismo like 4, but arguably, it's a really good game. For $40, you can get ALL of the content that isn't locked behind paywalls. I can go on about GT7. It's genuinely a great game.
I think you have a really good point. This is one of my favorite games rn, but it’s not because I love racing, it’s because I love driving. I love how unforgiving the physics can be, but how much that’s related to my own inputs. I love being able to drive cars which I’ll never be able to see or hear or definitely drive in real life, on tracks that I love. And I love being able to learn the ins and outs of a track to optimize my driving style and lines and to push the limits without the pressure of having to perform around other people. I may be in the minority in that sense, but this game just does it really really well
For me Assetto is my favorite because I of the endless mods available. I also value the realism because those skills can transfer to real life. I’ve had moments in real life where I start to slide and my brain immediately kicks in with muscle memory. Long story short I can enjoy the cars and locations I want while also training my real life skills
19:10 thanks for pointing that problem out. There are people who steal other authors work, claim it as their own, charge you money for shitty quality rips and sue the original authors if they complain. How the heck was this site never closed down?! On the other hand I was involved in the modding scenes for GTR2 and GT Legends and also Assetto Corsa and I know a lot of people who really try to put everything possible into their mods and make them as good as possible. And that really shows! What I wanted to say: know the difference. Be careful who to trust if you are new to AC. But enjoy it nonetheless.
That was something I probably could have commented on more, because if you're new to Assetto, or even just sim racing in general (cause I know AC is a lot of people's first sim, especially if you don't count GT/FM), Its extremely difficult for a new player to see 1. If a mod is stolen, and 2. If it's even good before downloading it
Assetto corsa for me is your driving simulator, it can be whatever you want, as a hardcore racing enthusiasts i love recreating races like the 24h of le mans and AC does it perfectly with the same grid even. And sometimes i just want to cruise on a tight mountain road in an Italian sports car with traffic and AC does that for me perfectly. So yeah, with mods, AC is the perfect driving simulator
AC is basically like the Ravenfield/gmod of racing games with its modding community. You can go around nurgburgring on a banana or race around wangan on a t-rex. And I’m gonna say, it’s worth the money. I literally saved my allowance to get AC. Though, there are other racing sims that are better than AC like LFS. Live for Speed has a better feeling in driving and the best part of it, it’s free and you have an option to buy the licenses to get the full experience. Though in modern versions of LFS, it also has mods in it. So if you want just pure driving or racing, go with LFS or other racing sims, but if you want to drive wherever you want with whatever car you want in the comfort of your home, Assetto Corsa is the go to game for that.
Oh for how often ACs on sale, it's definitely worth a purchase, the limiting factor then becomes how much you spent on your storage (some comments have mentioned having 350gbs in mods)
To answer the question of who is assetto for. To put it simply, its for the people who love driving. Not even racing necessarily, just the pure joy of track days in road and track cars, street racing in traffic, tandem drifting on touges, cruising on backstreet roads, and so much more. You summed it up the best way, right now (purely because of modding) its a sandbox driving game. For the love of driving! BUT IN MY OPINION. The best racing game right now is night runners
i think i never really looked at assetto like the point of view that is describe in this video but now that i look it that way it's make so much sense. AC is not the best racing simulator but it's the best simulator at what he is trying to make possible if you are willing enough to try it. Thanks for making me open my eyes on one of my favourite game to play
I think AC clunkiness played in it's favor, its reminiscent of old internet, it encourages decentralized amateure leagues, communities, modding, and new game purposes. Matchmaking is one of the best and worst things to be invented for racing games.
'Basic tools like Automation, where you can literally just build your own car in a way that is still very detailed but isn't super overwhelming to the average player' Bruh....
Automation is so tedious lol. If I didn't have to design the look of the cars, and it was easier to make them look decent (weird beamng lights, steering wheel etc) sure, but it's much easier to pick a car you want to build as if you had it in ac, find a good model, and play with the data files.
"The only racing game you'll ever need," as if 'racing game' is some non-renewable commodity one must absorb on a regular basis to sustain themselves and any one source will do the trick. Gotta make sure to get my daily dose of 'racing game' and while I'm at it, I'll listen to the same exact Katy Perry song I've listened to every day of my entire life to be certain my 'music' levels are replenished - after all, it's the only song I'll ever need. (that being said, I do actually treat AC as a utility more than a game, but that's out of a very niche necessity lol)
AC for track driving, BeamNG for causal driving and FH5 for Drifting is the way I've satisfied my driving needs. It just got tiring after 9 years of trying to keep up with mods for AC and BeamNG's updates take time so FH5 fills the void in the meantime for AC Evo or the next BeamNG update.
Talking about Assetto Corsa is kinda of a nightmare for the ridiculous amount of people that swear like it can replace everything and anything. It IS everything people talk about, honestly. The problem, its so blown out of proportion thanks to elitists that its a bit hard to truly appreciate it. Its essentially the Minecraft of racing games. You can do ANYTHING so long as you find the proper community for it. I'd argue the only problem AC has, its that you have to do a bunch of things to get into actually driving and playing the game. Its something NO game should require you to do at all, but as a newcomer to the game and to sim racing in general, setting up AC with Content Manager and Pure is easier than modding ANY old nfs game or etc. I believe it's major downside is clearly blown out of proportion. The thing is, AC will never be the only racing game you need. AC doesnt have Burnout's takedowns. AC doesn't have MC3 or UG2's customization, and it doesn't have everything. AC will never be a replacement for anything, it will be its own thing. TXR games and SRP are different things, and the joy i get from driving and cruising with other people in SRP is different than what im going to feel while playing through the TXR games. It's a game of its own, that gives you near unlimited freedom to look for what you want to enjoy, and what you want to experience with the base sim physics and near unlimited mod support it has. Also, fuck No Hesi, since the type of people that it has brought recently are exactly those that swear that it can replace anything.
@@Fastminer07 Always a better call to bet on the OEM servers and SRP. No Hesi is the most unserious AC can get, in a lot of ways. Incredible work by a group of people that fell into the wrong community.
AC is the game made for people who just love plain driving, not specifically racing, not specifically drifting and not specifically any discipline that you can think of but just driving, i think AC gives you the perfect amount of control over the cars and game for you to do whatever you please to the point where just focusing on one specific niche doesn't have to be the be all end all to the game, you can truly do whatever you please and attempting to be near sighted with the game saying "Oh but where's the progression?" or "Where's the matchmaking and customization?" will make you just simply not enjoy the game. if you're reading this and think assetto corsa is overhyped i want you to try something different, go drift on irohazaka, go cut up on the shuto, go for a cruise on the LA canyons or even partake in a GT3 race with the thousands of clubs available to join. finally i'd like to thank whoever read this through for hearing me out and fastminer for making this amazing video, god bless brothers.
I think your point about Garry's Mod and Half Life is such a great point. Assetto Corsa feels like the skeleton of a more fleshed out game that just doesn't exist. I'm one of those players you mentioned who just likes to drive, you even had some of my favorite maps, but those maps always feel lifeless and empty. I used to drive a bunch in GTAV, not teaching, just driving, because it had a great atmosphere. I would often steal a taxi and spend hours giving people rides. I'd love to have a game built off of AC's engine that includes delivery jobs, taxi jobs, street races and all sorts of actual stuff to do on top of driving. I like driving, but more than that, I like my driving to accomplish something or to drive a narrative forward, and I think AC could be a great engine for something like that.
I was so hyped to get into AC...spent hours downloading and setting up mods...only to basically never play it. GTR2 was the only sim that ever hooked me and is still my fav racing game to this day. I might give ACC a shot.
I come from the same cloth. Papyrus' NASCAR Racing games and GTR2 are what made me realize racing at home was actually possible. I do love AC and it's my most played sim today, but I also own 9 other sims besides the ones I've mentioned. Give ACC a go, I play it with no DLC and it's a pretty satisfying experience. I feel like they realized what was missing in AC and put ACC out to fill the gap.
I love Assetto Corsa, it's my most played steam game by far but if you can't or refuse to appreciate god's gift to driving games in the form of SEGA arcade racers (and most classic arcade games in general) then I don't care who you are I want you atleast 100 meters away from me at all times
I got into racing games right as Sega was leaving the arcade racer market (outside of sonic allstars), but I know they made some classics I need to check out
@@Fastminer07 I'm not sure how more advanced wheels cooperate with the more niche emulators needed to play some of these games but if you get the chance to set up Supermodel and play Daytona USA 2 sometime you will absolutely not regret it. That's my favorite arcade racer ever made
As an a ac junkie i absolutely love the freedom it has, but its veeeeeeeery lacking in the online department. But honestly im not surprised, its a decade old game that hasn't been touched in ages
Assetto Corsa has changed my life, all the stuff I wished for years ago in a driving game is now in AC. Honestly the mods are so good from No Hesi, to Touge and Drifting it's gonna take a lot for me to want to play another racing game. This community is one of the best ‼👍🏼
Great video! Just subbed! Just started sim racing when I got my first VR headset a year ago and I am addicted to it which includes AC, and true it is not really the best but for what it is, is one of my favorites. Looking forward for future videos.
Nah barely. BeamNG earns that title way more. The main thing in garry's mod is that it's so fun just to fool around. If you don't know how to mod yourself, you can't even be creative in AC, while in Garry's mod everyone can let their (lack of) creativity run wild with a low barrier to entry. Even in terms of sims. AC only sims the suspension and wheels, Beam sims the physics of the entire car, it feels way more immersive, combined with giving you way more freedom. In AC it's not fun to fool around, it takes itself way too serious. At least if you crash in BeamNG it looks epic and feels fun. Ever since I discovered BeamNG I totally forgot AC even existed until this video.
I think what makes the modding part stand out is the fact that there might be one or two individuals that just get the right perfect tweak about those modded cars, which is only something that can be reached with a community, rather than telling someone to, and seeing all those variants and drift cars and stuff is just fucking wild and it feels great to just hop on with your mates, to swerve through traffic under „realistic“ circumstances, it’s incredible to be able to do that
Every racing game is a good game (Although I wouldn't know if I could say the same about the latest NFS) At least in my case, as long as I can hear an engine, Competing online and offline, and having a good driving feel whether in a simulator or an arcade is fine by me, and if you can add mods that expands the enjoyment of any racing game
Great video bro! Very informative, funny, and entertaining. Honestly this game isn’t for me. But I definitely do see the appeal tho and why people love it so much. I also liked how you kept using that picture of Kunos. Strong emphasis on the forehead as well lol Excited to see the next huge project you’ve been working on. If it’s gonna take a couple of months then imma let you cook. Can’t wait for that banger video to come out 🔥
This video made me finally understand why i never really liked AC. I found joy in racing games growing up mostly through career campaigns or racing against friends. So the concept of fun for me was always in the challenges and completionism. Since AC never had any of this, especially in the modded culture, it just never felt fun to me. Cruising around the wangan felt pointless, doing track days in Nordschleife felt unintuitive, doing an actual race felt like a hassle to set up. Besides, you have to really look out for controller mods, because this game wasn't made for controllers or keyboards AT ALL. I'm from a third world country, i can't just simply buy a wheel. Most wheels here cost a entire monthly wage's worth of money. I'm not going to stop eating just so i can do the funny cruise in AC.
The vanilla game on console is so underwhelming that I wondered what all the fuss was about AC. It has so little content, didn't do much to invest the player in the game and want to stick with it and develop their skills, that I returned to the Gran Turismo franchise and dabbled with DiRT Rally, DR 2.0 and Project Cars 2. I didn't miss AC on console and it remained in its box. I got a (low-end) PC at the start of this year and thought I'd give modded AC a try. NOW I understand what the fuss is about. The *community* has made it into the game it should have been and I can lose hours just trying one of the 2,000 cars I've downloaded on a variety of tracks or open roads. I soend the majority of my time on Gran Turismo 7 because it has solid driving and stunning visuals, but modded AC fills a different niche for me. It delivers content I can't get on any console where I can drive a Ford Falcon XY GTHO around Bathurst, or a Brabham BT19 around historic Spa, or a Matra-Simca MS670 around Le Mans. I'm terrible, of course, but I don't care. I don't think the *racing* is especially good, and I don't have the patience or interest to download mod files to improve AI, so for me AC fulfills a niche driving experience that I can't find on more social games like GT7 or EA WRC. And thats exactly what I want for it. Great video, and thank you for pointing out the arrogance of self-important sim racers who gate-keep what is and what is not acceptable to drive as a racing game.
6:25 There is Live For Speed too, a racing game published in 2002 and STILL updated today by the same team (basically 3 people) and it is ahead of it's time often (one one the first if not the first racing game to include vr support in 2014 and one of the best vr support i think today for exemple). The physic is still very good today; the compatibility is insane for a game like that (little to no setup on the wheels and pedals and detects pretty much any wheels from 2002 wheel to a 2024 moza). Valterri Bottas the F1 driver that won few races with Mercedes was actively racing and active on the forums in 2008 to 2011 and stopped playing when he joined Williams academy. I think this is a game to check out, it is on their website and it has a demo with 3 cars and a track.
Always enjoyed racing games, i picked up a moza bundle and assetto+dlc when it was on sale. Learning to drift in sim now and drifting irl has now become my goal. Currently saving for a rwd car now 😅
First off, dude that's awesome! Glad you're getting something valuable from your time with this amazing driving sim. That's an aspect of AC (and most sims, really) that I think either gets glossed over or undermined by people who aren't into the sim/simcade racers; You can LEARN from these titles. Driving simulators are unique in that way. Where flight simulators need an elaborate setup to be anything close to the real thing (and I still wouldn't recommend trying to fly a plane because you play MFS), 90% of what you learn from a driving sim translates directly to the real world. Especially when it comes to keeping calm and knowing what to do when you have a car on the edge of control. Good luck with your drifting adventure!
Another perspective: All the oldies like me. Once upon a time, when you got to a certain age, all you could do was sit in your armchair, reminisce and look at pictures, or maybe videos if you were lucky . But now with AC mods you can sink the grandkids' inheritance into a fully sick rig and drive high octain history in VR. Never a better time to be old.
Fair enough, granted a lot of the older sim racers I know won't play AC and just say stuff like "Racing games peaked with Grand Prix 4 or Indycar Racing 2"
Totally agree with your point in this video! I personally love AC for when i just want to get in the sim and make some quick laps or have a quick race. But it just doesn't have the things i need to be able to play consistently for a couple months at a time. it's a great game but sometimes i need some incentive or an actualy goal to go after in a game and something to work towards. Which is where a lot of the games you mentioned like GT, NFS, and many other more simcade titles really provide for. One thing i especially love AC for is the experience. In the few that I've tried, it is easily one of the best VR experiences I've had!
i remember playing it in a friend's house in VR, and it was great, but when I bought it on steam I just got bored of navigating the ugly menus and having to search for a tutorial of how to even set up a no hesi. i guess the process of modding just isnt fun for me
Saying Assetto Corsa is "the only racing game you need" "Go with AC and forget about NFS or F1" is pretty off base. It's like claiming "Garry's Mod is the only sandbox game you'll ever need," and I don't get why people keep saying that. To me, AC is more like your "first step into sim racing" or "the first sim racing game to try". It’s perfect for exploring different racing genres so you can find what you enjoy and then dive into more specialized sim racing games from there or just stay there to explore a niche subgenre in Sim Racing (i.e. Touge, Highway, etc). Even though sim racing is more accessible these days, it can still be pricey and hard to get into, and the chances of not liking it are higher because of how complex the genre and the scene can be. I've met dozens of people on my local sim groups asking where to start and ending with selling their Sim Rig because "it's hard to set up" and "I just want to up and go racing". So, is it a "Good Racing Games"? No. i rather play something like Forza Horizon, ACC, and heck even Forza Motorsport. But is it a good "Car Simulator" game? i would argue, in this current state, in this genre is Yes.
It's maybe not the most fleshed out *motorsport game* but I don't find anything else worth using when it comes to asphalt/tarmac/track simulations. The physics, especially when using the capabilities of CSP, are more comprehensive and less problematic than any consumer alternatives I'm aware of.
I remember tinkering a little with Assetto Corsa mods, trying to get a feel for it and did a couple of races to check it out here and there. But I dropped the game eventually due to lack of interest (and sometimes disk space). Though I do still keep an eye on the Shutoko Revival Project scene, since that more or less makes me think of picking it up again (thanks to TXR). That being said though, I still look forward for the new TXR game more than anything else. Here's to wish all the best for Genki Racing Project.
I honestly love assetto for the diversity in what I like in it, I love the cutting up, the fact u can just use any car anywhere, and the different genres of racing or driving like touge or track or highway. Assetto corsa is the best modded simulator game cuz without the mods it’s not a game
Oh boy. Before I bought AC I never knew of the existence of racing snobs, some of them would shit on people playing using a controller or a keyboard. Game's amazing in VR though, even if I just mostly race alone in a track.
Thanks for this video! I did not know you had to mod AC to make it fun. I’ve owned AC for 2 years, touched it once and found the experience horrible. Everyone who talks about this game being the greatest fails to mention that modding is literally required to have a good time. I guess they all assume everyone already knows this. I did not. Thanks to this video, now I do.
I played assetto corsa on playstation for hunderd of hours, i never got tired for months even tho there was little to do, because the essence of the game is "driving" and i liked it. Even tho it's something a few players would like, that's why modded assetto corsa is light years more liked and played than normal assetto corsa. I'm the type of simracer that prefers simulators rather than arcade games (i play ACC and Rfactor 2 too) but i don't call people that play fh5 "kids" just because they like playing an arcade game rather than a simulator, play whatever you like to play because the essence of racing games isn't only the handling physics but also enjoying the cars and enjoy driving them, that's it.
Back then, I really enjoyed playing Assetto Corsa, and I still am today. The problem with it is that it will requires wheel, gear, and other stuff to be able to play it smoothly. Also the setup has to be set all the time, and as I grown up, I have less time to spend with it, and eventually left them in the dust. I would still say that it’s a good game, because of what you can do with the price it offers. But fun wise, there’s more out there that can offer entertainment, including some mobile games that you can play it anywhere any time
For me, even when Assetto Corsa has its individual race tracks, i don't mind, i just practice and drive (and even when the game was an annoyance on my steam page for a while). I feel like behind the actual wheel and It's fun (I don't have drivers license and I can't get it, because of seizures).
To me AC feels like the "Bethesda game" of racers. It's good as a foundation but it is far from what it could potentially be, with fans stepping in to realize that potential (except without the non-family friendly mods you often see for games like Fallout or TES)
I think Assetto Corsa’s reputation is well deserved, but I’d be lying if I said I didnt jumped in Midnight Club 3 or Need For Speed Underground 2 from time to time as a coffee break.
The comparison to Beam was spot on. I got a bud whose been trying to get back into racing games, and a few weeks ago AC was on sale, and he asked me if he should get it since he's seen so many people glaze it. when I told him what it was like, he told me he was glad he asked because he thought it was Gran Turismo PC. I gave him a list of different things per genre to keep an eye out, and I told him that for a modding sandbox i prefer Beam just because it's way more versatile. AC definitely has a place, I see it as the endgame of Racing Sims, a game where you can fine craft a driving experience. But if you want something with structure, or want more out of your sandbox, it's a hard recommend
Assetto Corsa is the only game in the racing genre that I put more than 500 hours in. but it's not the best in any aspect. I firmly believe arcade racers shouldn't be axed & they still have a place in gaming. I loved playing nfs heat & nfs Unbound. Sometimes I wonder what if Assetto Corsa & NFS prostreet had a child.
I think partly why people like it so much is that I believe on lower end wheel systems, the driving experience is so enjoyable that you don't care all that much about anything else. I could hotlap the Nordschleife with a porsche 962 for hours on end, just thru enjoyment of what I think the best force feedback, and an enjoyable physics for me personally, also sim racing as a niche I feel like has grown, since other racing games have gotten worse for single player. If you are going to have a bad single player experience, why not making the driving more enjoyable
I agree with you, but as you touched on, Assetto Corsa’s most popular tracks and mods are just driving. It appeals more to real car enthusiasts who’s got more grounded experience driving real cars on real roads, where you are coming from an arcade and gamer’s perspective. Which will naturally draw you towarda BeamNG because it’s more fun, but you will never want to crash a car irl
90% of the time, I only do one thing in Assetto Corsa: hotlaps. I don't know why, but I never really bother doing time trials or hotlaps in any other racing game I play, but somehow AC just feels different. The mods are very appealing because, just like you said, you can do every car-track combo your heart desires.
For me its the same 😂😂😂, 95% of the time im doing hot laps with different cars. Maybe it's because driving in assetto Corsa feels so good and being able to drive a car smoothly and consistent feels so rewarding
AC is just one of the best simracing games, is a great sim for community events, but that doesn’t mean the arcade games are bad… NFSMW is still thriving with mods too!
I know Assetto Corsa is fantastic and I love playing it from time to time. However, sometimes I just want to play a more casual game and chill, you know? So I boot other games like Forza Horizon or Car X drift as an example and play for an hour or two. There's room for all kinds of race games, and that's cool. =) Great video, Fastminer.
We all played nfs mw 2005.... I sing the songs to this day.. but assetto has been the best racing game for me... I can play with ppl on full servers, dedicated to realism driving that feel like real ppl, each turn they make is anticipated... Its amazing... Love it.. tho it shouldn't make me hate arcade games
why a letdown? A small game, by a small russian studioshouldn't bring so many expectations. I liked it, it entertained me despite the problems and the AI voice. Car list is good, customization is great and the handling can be good
I really want to love AC, but I've never been able to get comfortable with the stability of the rear end. I just find it very hard either in the cars or the FFB to feel when anything is going on back there. More than that, I dislike the inconsistency of mod content (Some are amazing, some are trash) and the fact that you have to take some pretty janky workarounds in order to do what I consider basic race mechanics. That being said, it is also the only sim that allows you to experience some very niche, rare things - A personal favorite is 1920s cars with period authentic tracks. AMS2 is my personal go to, since I think the consistency of content is much greater there and I enjoy the racing experience much more. But I think AC is a great game for anyone with a modestly niche interest in, "Something cars related that most sims don't touch on". I appreciate you spending some time on these elements, as though I respect AC like crazy, I get a little annoyed when people talk as if the race mechanics offered are beyond most of the competition. Still, it is the only sim that lets me experience a healthy amount of 60s sports cars!
One point i'd like to add in favor of assetto is it's pricing, as someone who lives in a 3rd world country (Brasil mencionado), all racing games are expensive by themselves, counting the DLCs they can go up to 8x times the pricing of AC's ultimate pack. Not to mention that it's in almost every steam sale for 80% of discount with the DLCs included, the same applies to ACC but having less frequent discounts. Another point i'd like to make is that after 700ish hours on the controller and 1600 more on the wheel in the span of 8 years I've owned this game, it's pretty safe to say that the way you can dance on the limit is pretty unique, I'm not sure how realistic it is but it sure is immersive and rewarding (after it clicks) and I think that's what makes this game so appealing, what other game you can knife edge something like the tuned 86 and then just switch to drifting it around every corner without changing a single setting? Beam's Just now getting there after many years and I'm all here for it (especially with career mode and beamlr), but Assetto remains the main go-to to fill many niches and fantasies.
I've secretly always had a gripe with racing game AI. There are decent ones out there, but as a whole, I am almost never truly happy with AI opponents. AC is definitely lacking in this department, but as moving obstacles for you to test car setups against, it gets the job done. Just for the love of all things sane, don't put AI aggression up to 100% and drive anything open-wheeled, unless you are VERY confident in your race craft. The term "punterino" comes to mind lol
you just gotta find the right community for the type of racing you want. theres tons of communities where people ban trolls and stuff so you generally get a good race experience. they even have ametuer intermediate expert so you can race with people at your level. give it another shot!
first sim i ever started on was assetto corsa, and while i have branched out to other sims and simcades like acc, dirt rally 2, f1 23 and some others, i always find myself back at assetto corsa for the mods. No Hesi is amazing along with the vrc and rss cars. wonderful game
the comparison of modded AC with BeamNG and garry's mod is a very good comparison
I love men
i played around with AC and figured i liked the sandboxyness of it most, and only then i discovered BeamNG. And i haven't even thought of AC since until this video.
I just wish BeamNG had a little more immersive world, like having a human driver model, or a story to play. It's an awesome sandbox, but barely anything more as of now sadly
I think comparing it to Skyrim would also be apt - people don't like the game that was released, they like they mods they installed.
@@DrTheRich try career mode.
@@theweekndxo7438 LOL
Name one person who said that. You're talking outta your ass for a fake-deep comment
@@theweekndxo7438Yes it is. One of the best tyre models out there. I haven’t tried ACC in a bit but I remember them being very different
What makes me so fond of Assetto really is the community and freedom. You hit the nail on describing both of those perfectly
Developing a track is kinda complicated tho, so while it can,it’s really just hard racing

I love it.
Remind me how much do sometimes car and track mods cost.

The racing simulator boom and it's consequences have been a disaster for the gaming community. Notice how I said gaming community and not racing game community.
Nah, the lack of arcade games isn't AC fault, it's the entire genre that lost people's interests. AC only shines because it's not draining your wallet to have a half decent real racing experience.
@@sopranerds1 So it kills any and all competition is what you're saying.
the arcade games erased themself
NFS has a main part in the destruction of arcades.. with bad release after bad release and full ignoring the player base
the sim racing community has its couple big simulators that are running since over 1 decade.
(AC, Raceroom, iRacing, Rfactor and the couple Rallye games which are on their own) +
GT7 which is simcade and totally crushed the new Forza and BeamNG which is a complete monopol and the only game that offers this kind of organic/ realistic destruction.
they all simply do their own thing, add own flavours and quirks and the people love it for a good reason.
@@Satori-Automotive I agree, we bearly get any sim racing titles, and their public is just different from arcade games.
@@Satori-Automotive Today you woke up and chose to speak facts
The elitism that people have when it comes to sim racers makes me sad. I adore games like Grid, NFS, Blur, and I’ve been playing Midnight Club 2 lately. I love arcade racers. But so many people dog on them and it really feels like AC and its community amplified the outright hatred a lot of people have towards arcade racers. It’s just a real downer. Especially since a lot of the simple arcade racing franchises are either dead or completely revised.
It's not sim games fault that arcade racers this days so shit or non-existent.
It's not elitism, it's just a completely different thing. Racing games are fun, sims are fun, they're not the same thing though.
I love men
Elitism has always existed. Assetto Corsa is essentially just the modern version of Rfactor 1.

Stuff you wouldn't be able to do anywhere else in VR, (Except for beamng, but the performance in that is so bad at the moment)
Sure i'd love to play stuff like nfs and other racing games more. But its really hard to go back to a flat screen after you've played a racing game in VR, you genuinely feel scared of how fast you're going, and in a race where you have people side to side of you and you can look around at them, it really gets the adrenaline flowing.
Add VR support to more racing games, I'll play more racing games.

Just a pro tip for those who are going to start playing modded Assetto Corsa:
Be mindful and manage how much storage your mods take because it adds up QUICK.
Yaint playing with all those cars and tracks to put it simply
Feels like a waste of time setting all that up
Just opening the car selection menu must have taken forever!
Should i be decent to get to those private tournaments? Or a casual player can participate too?(ofc with following rules)
Yeah it's because you don't play ac as a "racing game" but a "racing sim". That's why ac will always be not the best racing "game"
There is a career mode?
Due to the need of constantly updating mods and searching for a lot of stuff on the internet, i decided to buy a PS5 and GT7, i work a 9-5 and then go to University at night, i dont have time to be tinkering with mods like when i was in HS
I just want to hop in in the game and race, that’s why i have been enjoying GT7 so much.
Oh wow good for you man 👏👏👏
Good on you man.
I love men
Someone has to like it but GT7 is terrible on every level, particularly the driving.
Just had the worst stomach ache of my life and this video helped distract me from it. Love cars and loved this.

Another great video. Hope the channel continues to grow.👍
16:28 I have 1800h in AC. Never done a proper race. The closest was some cruising on Nürburgring as a "tourist".

'Basic tools like Automation, where you can literally just build your own car in a way that is still very detailed but isn't super overwhelming to the average player'
Bruh....

@@Fastminer07 I know my way around Drone Cam, I like to think XD
My opinion. AC Evo will be a combo of AC and ACC combined for all formats *fingers crossed*

I remember getting into AC multiplayer people telling me I wouldn't like No Hesi and to go with SRP, seems like I made the right call there.

The scenic drives are nice in vr, and vr runs very nice on AC. This is what I use to show my dad 60s race cars from the cockpit.

Great video! Just subbed! Just started sim racing when I got my first VR headset a year ago and I am addicted to it which includes AC, and true it is not really the best but for what it is, is one of my favorites. Looking forward for future videos.
Assetto Corsa is literally the Garry's Mod of the sim genre today.
of the sims yeah
I love men
@@DrTheRich ok but no tire physics in beam. its immersive but when you arent crashing or doing stupid shit ac is just more true to life
@@DrTheRich I love Beam it's such a goofy game while also being impressive.
So many different sorts of racing games. Arcade, Sim, Simcade... it's also the preference of every individual. Assetto Corsa sure is a very good Sim
As a sim racing enthusiast, I really enjoyed your video!
Strong emphasis on the forehead as well lol
Excited to see the next huge project you’ve been working on.
NFS Pack you mentioned is actually very realistic in terms of physics and one of the best mods for AC

6:34 it's actually the LFS demo track on netkar lol
Fair enough, granted a lot of the older sim racers I know won't play AC and just say stuff like "Racing games peaked with Grand Prix 4 or Indycar Racing 2"
very detailed and amazing documentary on the evoloution of racing sims love the vid
In the few that I've tried, it is easily one of the best VR experiences I've had!
i remember playing it in a friend's house in VR, and it was great, but when I bought it on steam I just got bored of navigating the ugly menus and having to search for a tutorial of how to even set up a no hesi. i guess the process of modding just isnt fun for me
using hood politics as background music is devious work i fw that heavy
I'm like 90% gonna get a custom cover of the middle section in "XXX" done for a bit in the next video

@@cornedbeef4332 good to know 👨🏻💼
@@wushukenny bro I REALLY love men
I did not. Thanks to this video, now I do.
like videoGAME not much actually, but the physics simulation is one of the best on market
_(sadly that Project Cars didnt have that level of phy)_
But fun wise, there’s more out there that can offer entertainment, including some mobile games that you can play it anywhere any time
Love your choice of music so damn much
Thanks for your video bringing this issue in the main focus . Keep up the good work
I dont really have the money required for iracing and ac and acc are two games that make me subsatially faster irl. That is their real value to me.
For me, even when Assetto Corsa has its individual race tracks, i don't mind, i just practice and drive (and even when the game was an annoyance on my steam page for a while). I feel like behind the actual wheel and It's fun (I don't have drivers license and I can't get it, because of seizures).
Martin Galway's Ghoulst'n Ghosts C64 soundtrack in the background - nice touch 🤩
I thought Tim Follin composed it?
@@Fastminer07 Sorry, my bad, you're absolutely right! Classic tune nevertheless, and I'm grateful for the instant throwback 😁🎶🙏
@@marathi22 Yeah, it's way before my time, but even with the limited sound chips of the day, this track still holds up
To me AC feels like the "Bethesda game" of racers. It's good as a foundation but it is far from what it could potentially be, with fans stepping in to realize that potential (except without the non-family friendly mods you often see for games like Fallout or TES)
Nice Us and Them at the end
Even without mods it's pretty enjoyable and sometimes challenging to get all golds in the Special events section. For 300+ hours.
I'm just happy to be here :>
90% of the time, I only do one thing in Assetto Corsa: hotlaps.
Yup thats me. I cruised and drifted 100K+ kilometers in AC and only raced like 100km 😁
Great video, Fastminer.
The launch of CarX Street PC was such a letdown, i went back and downloaded Forza Motorsport 2 for Xenia Canary
ive been meaning to try fm4/fh1 again with that, is it complicated to set up
why a letdown? A small game, by a small russian studioshouldn't bring so many expectations. I liked it, it entertained me despite the problems and the AI voice. Car list is good, customization is great and the handling can be good
Fh1 is fairly easy, FM4 ""works"" but looks awful
@@Fastminer07 Yeah i noticed that FM4 did not look very good compared to FH1 in xenia
I play Forza for years now, but Since I played AC, Forza looks like an arcade to me now. Damn the realness is so good!
I have put 100s of hours into AC and have done about 3 races. It's all about the long relaxing drive through the LA Canyons or Union Island
Still, it is the only sim that lets me experience a healthy amount of 60s sports cars!
got no smappy remarks, just happy to see the chadminer upload
Beam's Just now getting there after many years and I'm all here for it (especially with career mode and beamlr), but Assetto remains the main go-to to fill many niches and fantasies.
imo it gets everything good but racing, there are not enough racing rules features, and ai isnt good
I've secretly always had a gripe with racing game AI.
I bought a wheel for AC and ACC, but in the end I use for FH5 for a relaxing drive along the roads
