Agree! The Christian org that I’m in has the nerve to show horrific Bible scenes in their dramas during conventions and the believers around will 👏 their hands after watching it. I was just stunned watching them and felt pity to them, that they lack natural affection.😢

Exactly. The worst thing is (if it were factual...thank goodness it's not) - think about being stuck forever in 'heaven' with the type of people that -
      1) Actually AGREE with this filth...
      2) People that are OK with throwing God's son under the bus for their own 'sins' instead of them, so they can get off the hook (when they 'likely' would never allow their own child to suffer for their [the parent's] crimes)...
      3) People who would be happy and joyous in the face of knowing most other people they've known and loved are suffering forever - just for believing a bit differently on just a few subjects...
THOSE are the type of people you're stuck with!
      NO THANK YOU!
If there was a half-way good God, I doubt even HE would want to be STUCK with those types of people!

@@lh1673 - The other thing is how those same believers would probably boo and shake their heads in disgust if those very same scenes were pulled from the Quran, the Vedas, or any other sacred text instead. It’s perfectly excusable when it’s their Bible depicting it, but show them equally graphic or gruesome content from other religions, and they’ll all gasp and faint. 🙄

Remember that God hardened the Pharaoh's heart to force him to refuse to free the slaves. Then he punished the citizens of Egypt- who had nothing to do with the decision- with locusts, boils, famine and death. God loves punishing people for things they have no control over.

Actually it's Astrological Allegory, but the idea is everyone is judged according to their own laws when the books reverse at the end. Which they all do.
One Megalithic hour is 240 minutes, or 14,400 seconds (1/4)
There are 6 Megalithic hours to the day, each made up of 6 minutes, each of which is 6 seconds long. If the Megalithic hour was divided into 60 minutes, each would be 1,440 of our seconds, times 100 is 144,000.
One Megalithic second is 400 of our modern seconds, divided by 60 (to get minutes) is 6.6666666....
      360 ÷ 6.66 is 54
      54 x 2 is 108
      108 x 2 is 216
To effect this the hands on a clock count out 10 (units of 6) x 10 (units of 6) × 4 (=400 units of 6). Therefore the relationship of the Megalithic second to our current form is mathematically proportional to the ratio between the Sun and Moon. A Megalithic second is 6.66 minutes (400 seconds). A Megalithic Minute is 40 minutes, or 2,400 seconds. 6 x 6 x 6 x 400 = 86,400, the number of seconds in a day. This would mean a clock with 216 seconds would go around 40 times in a day (2160 x 400).
This means 1 Megalithic second is 6.66 of our modern minutes, meaning their metric system is based on the Full Moon, of which 360 fit into to the night sky, and 720 will encircle the globe, divided by half gives us the 360 degree circle, and the basis for our present based sixty or seximal system of time. Which is why 1 degree of Arc on the Moon = 100 Megalithic Yards (2700ft). This means the Beast, the hidden hand of the Masonic fraternity, is the Moon; and Time. The white limestone covering of the Pyramids denotes the Pale Moon in Megalithic Ireland, like at New Grange, where Enoch describes a Crystal Palace illuminated by the Full Moon every 19 years.
6 x 6 x 6 is 216, there are 2160 years in an astrological age, and the Moon is 2160 miles in diameter, the solar metonic calendar using 60 6 day weeks produces 1 extra day every 216 years. There are also 216 Megalithic seconds in a day, and 216 letters in the name of the Hebrew God, Just as Solomon has 36 or 72 scrolls, and Muhammed speaks of 72 sects.
Enoch also buries 36,525 scrolls, the number of days in a year, times 100. This shows that our current measure of time is based on the principle of 1/6, the basis of an Egyptian Royal Cubit, which effects the arc of a Pendulum like that in a Grandfather Clock, the Sun also does this in the sky over the seasons.
But first, they built the first ring at Stonehenge, which is 100 metres (330 ft) wide, with an area of 2160 square feet, a Cube's interior angles also add up to... 2160!
This produces a Calendar of 60 6 day weeks plus five. Every 4th year a 366th day makes exactly 61 weeks. This is the basis of the Olympics, to mark a Leap Year, starting with the first Full Moon of the Summer Solstice.
This means every 216 years this calendar produces 1 extra day, so after 648 years 3 days must be removed. This is when the Phoenix arrived, and stepped onto the Alter of Ra or Holy Grail, completing the Metonic cycle and bringing the Calendar back into sync with the first New Moon of the Spring equinox. The Capstone of the Pyramid is even called the Benben Stone, the Egyptian Phoenix is called the Bennu. It likely relates to Deneb, in Ophiuchus, the 13th Starsign of the Zodiac. The base of the Pyramid is exactly 13 Acres, as is Teotihuacan, because they share the exact same base dimensions.
Such a location would be ideal for calculating the speed of light using the transit of Venus. Incidentally the Great Pyramid's Latitudinal coordinates are the speed of light.
      1440 ÷ 108 = 13.333333
11 and 3 are the most sacred Celtic numbers of royalty, and also happen to be the proportions of the Earth to the Moon, and the Great Pyramid.
The starsigns also precess 1 degree every 72 years
      72 x 3 is 216
      2160 ÷ 648 is 3.3333333
The Aztec Calendar also begins with a double transit of Venus, in 3116BC, and ended with one on June 5 2012. The double headed Phoenix.
This whole code can be encrypted into a single Pythagorean Triangle of Dimensions 666 by 630, by 216, this is the Key of Solomon, 33 is the inverse of 66.
100 is the "perfect number" because it represents Ten (6 unit) metrics times ten 6 unit metrics: a unit being 6.66
ie 60 x 60 (3600) the number of Arcdegree seconds in a second, or a one second unit on a clock the size of Earth
      This means seconds represent 10ths of the Moon; 216, or 6 x 6 x 6 (100 ÷ 6 ÷ 6 = 2.7): Euler's number, and the number of feet to a Megalithic Yard, 3/11 is .27 and the number of days in a sidereal month is also 27.
11/3 is 3.66, the number of days in a Canicular leap year, the character of Thoth, Cuchulainn, and Kukulkan, the Dog Star of the Dog days of Sirius, in Assyria, and the star by which the Sothic (Seth) Calendar is determined. Thoth was the Son of Seth, who is portrayed as a Serpent. 3 x 11 is 33, the # of years in a 'Great Solar Return'. As the Sun and Moon inhabit their respective houses of the Zodiac they animate the character within, playing out the dramas and battles we know as myths, for example the Moon traveling through each of the Zodiac houses each month, for a grand total of... 144 (12 x 12) This is why at every Megalithic site we find Theatres, like in "Nazereth" and Gobekli Tepe and Poverty Point, as well as in New Zealand.
Metatron/Enoch/Echnaton/Arkenaten's Cube is 13 circles in a Star of David:
      13 x 360 is 4680
      4680 ÷ 216 is 21.666..
The circumference of the Earth in Nautical Miles is 21,600
This means the basis of the Nautical Mile is the Moon.
Calculate the Circumference of the Earth in kms by multiplying the Diameter of the Moon by 18.6, the period of a Metonic Cycle in years to get 40,175.

What's often overlooked on the story of Job is that his wife and children are treated as nothing more than Job's commodities. And, by the supposedly happy ending of Job's story, the original wife and children remain no less dead. This is what I would call a truly evil story. 🤔

@sammur1977 Have you looked into the development of the Bible? Do you know it's derivative of *older* mythologies?
I know it's hard, but try using your brain for once. Start with the lectures referenced below by Professor Christine Hayes, who lectures on the Hebrew Bible at Yale University.
      ---------------------------------------------------------
*The Enuma Elish would later be the inspiration for the Hebrew scribes who created the text now known as the biblical Book of Genesis.* Prior to the 19th century CE, the Bible was considered the oldest book in the world and its narratives were thought to be completely original. In the mid-19th century CE, however, European museums, as well as academic and religious institutions, sponsored excavations in Mesopotamia to find physical evidence for historical corroboration of the stories in the Bible. ***These excavations found quite the opposite, however, in that, once cuneiform was translated, it was understood that a number of biblical narratives were Mesopotamian in origin.***
*Famous stories such as the Fall of Man and the Great Flood were originally conceived and written down in Sumer,* translated and modified later in Babylon, and reworked by the Assyrians ***before they were used by the Hebrew scribes for the versions which appear in the Bible.***
***In revising the Mesopotamian creation story for their own ends, the Hebrew scribes tightened the narrative and the focus but retained the concept of the all-powerful deity who brings order from chaos.*** Marduk, in the Enuma Elish, establishes the recognizable order of the world - *just as God does in the Genesis tale* - and human beings are expected to recognize this great gift and honor the deity through service.

Also discussed by Professor Christine Hayes at Yale University in her 1st lecture of the series on the Hebrew Bible from 8:50 to 14:30 minutes, lecture 3 from 28:30 to 41:35 minutes, lecture 4 from 0:00 up to 21:30 minutes and 24:00 up to 35:30 minutes and lecture 7 from 24:20 to 25:10 minutes.
      From a Biblical scholar:
"Many stories in the ancient world have their origins in other stories and were borrowed and modified from other or earlier peoples. *For instance, many of the stories now preserved in the Bible are* ***modified*** *versions of stories that existed in the cultures and traditions of Israel’s* ***older*** *contemporaries.* Stories about the creation of the universe, a cataclysmic universal flood, digging wells as land markers, the naming of important cultic sites, gods giving laws to their people, and even stories about gods decreeing the possession of land to their people were all part of the cultural and literary matrix of the ancient Near East. *Biblical scribes freely* ***adopted and modified*** *these stories as a means to express their own identity, origins, and customs."*

It's astonishing that despite the Bible's depiction of God's destructive actions, we're often led to believe that we're the ones who need forgiveness. This dynamic is comparable to a scenario where a ruler wreaks havoc on their kingdom, causing immense suffering, yet expects their subjects to apologize for being affected by their actions. I mean all the years of Sunday School, then being an alter boy, then Campus Crusade for Christ and many, many Bible Studies in which I read the Bible cover to cover several times, plus all the years of readings from the Bible during every Sunday service - and I never gave heed to any of these atrocities and remained steadfast in the idea that “God is love”. Now the scales have fallen from my eyes and I feel angry, deceived and lied to by people that I love. I am willing to give my loved ones a pass, now understanding that they are just as brainwashed as I was, but god does not get a pass. If he is real, he is very, very disturbed and evil. Something I had typed out. How could a "loving" God pull something like this:
I was a Christian, baptized (baptizmo: full immersion) I had three kids. My son and daughter were taken from me at age two and a half and one by my ex-wife. Everytime I found them she'd move again. I was in the military and she was getting child support but still wouldn't let me see them. I always prayed for my kids:
    John 14:13-14
Whatever you ask in my name, this I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask me anything in my name, I will do it.
Even in combat zones I prayed for them. Then in 2008 my daughter contacted me. She was 19 with kids of her own. Finally in 2018 my websites were doing good and I had money. The last time we spoke she said she was tired of FB and phone calls. She wanted to see me. I told her we could make that happen. But it never did. In 2018 at 28 she was KIDNAPPED and GANG RAPED and SHOT SIXTEEN TIMES. Her body dumped in the park across from our old house. So how can a "merciful" and "loving" God allow this? I never touched her or saw her face to face as a grown woman. I only remember her as a baby. She's a box of ashes now. She left four orphans. You read the chapter and verse. I asked for God's protection in Jesus' name. But NOTHING. How was that out of "context"? How could a loving God not allow me to see my grown daughter even ONCE? And it's true, God, thru proxy, murdered women, children and infants. You don't have to be a theologian to understand that. Yet Christians go out of their way to move the goalpost and attempt to make a round peg fit into a square hole. But if I did that they'd be clamoring for me to take a dirt nap. I struggled with the same thing when I was a Christian. Nothing is taken out of "context", nobody is "misunderstanding" it.

I think it is one of Christianity's faults that the dichotomy of a being with the qualities of perfectly loving, or perfectly evil, is rattled off and accepted without blinking. I don't think those concepts are logically coherent, let alone realistic. I don't think good and bad can be absolutes.
I suppose under some definitions it could be true, like Good and evil being defined as how closely to God something was. But that requires rather useless definitions of good and evil.

      ---------------------------------------------------------
*This website is designed to spread the vicious truth about the Bible. For far too long priests and preachers have completely ignored the vicious criminal acts that the Bible promotes. The so called God of the Bible makes Osama Bin Laden look like a Boy Scout. This God, according to the Bible, is directly responsible for many mass-murders, rapes, pillage, plunder, slavery, child abuse and killing, not to mention the killing of unborn children.* I have included references to the Biblical passages, so grab your Bible and follow along.
*It always amazes me how many times this God orders the killing of innocent people even after the Ten Commandments said Thou shall not kill.* For example, God kills 70,000 innocent people because David ordered a census of the people (1 Chronicles 21).
God also orders the destruction of 60 cities so that the Israelites can live there. He orders the killing of all the men, women, and children of each city, and the looting of all of value (Deuteronomy 3). He orders another attack and the killing of all the living creatures of the city: men and women, young, and old, as well as oxen sheep, and asses (Joshua 6). In Judges 21 He orders the murder of all the people of Jabesh-gilead, except for the virgin girls who were taken to be forcibly raped and married. When they wanted more virgins, God told them to hide alongside the road and when they saw a girl they liked, kidnap her and forcibly rape her and make her your wife!
*Just about every other page in the Old Testament has God killing somebody!* In 2 Kings 10:18-27, God orders the murder of all the worshipers of a different god in their very own church! In total God kills 371,186 people directly and orders another 1,862,265 people murdered
The God of the Bible also allows slavery, including selling your own daughter as a sex slave (Exodus 21:1-11), child abuse (Judges 11:29-40 & Isaiah 13:16), and bashing babies against rocks (Hosea 13:16 & Psalms 137:9). *This type of criminal behavior should shock any moral person.*
***Murder, rape, pillage, plunder, slavery, and child abuse can not be justified by saying that some god says it’s OK.*** If more people would actually sit down and read the Bible there would be a lot more atheists like myself. Jesus also promoted the idea that all men should castrate themselves to go to heaven: For there are eunuchs, that were so born from their mother’s womb: and there are eunuchs, that were made eunuchs by men: and there are eunuchs, that made themselves eunuchs for the kingdom of heaven’s sake. He that is able to receive it, let him receive it (Matthew 19:12). *I don’t know why anyone would follow the teachings of someone who literally tells all men to cut off their privates.*
The God of the Bible also was a big fan of ritual human sacrifice and animal sacrifice.
*And just in case you are thinking that the evil and immoral laws of the Old Testament are no longer in effect, perhaps you should read where Jesus makes it perfectly clear:* It is easier for Heaven and Earth to pass away than for the smallest part of the letter of the law to become invalid (Luke 16:17). There are many more quotes on this topic at my Do Not Ignore the Old Testament web page.
If you follow the links on this site you will learn about all the nasty things in the Bible that are usually not talked about by priests and preachers.

@@TeasLouise "...he made man to have free will to do good or evil and he is just the judge?"
In the Bible, God _used_ to directly intervene in people's lives all the time. God hardens people's hearts to suspend free will and make them do things they otherwise wouldn't have done. God straight-up kills one guy for the inexcusable sin of NOT getting his sister-in-law pregnant. God parted the Red Sea. He wiped out humanity down to the last 8 people because he didn't like what his own angels were doing. God intervenes ALL OVER THE PLACE in the Bible.
Tell us, when did God decide that putting His own hand into human affairs was a bad thing?
And second, back to the post that you commented on: If I were aware that a child in my neighborhood was being SA'd by, say, her uncle on an ongoing basis (Frank Turek actually uses this exact story in some of his speeches), I would do everything in my power to intervene - call CPS, go threaten the uncle, _something,_ which is more than this omnipotent, omniscient and omni-benevolent god is willing to do.
This puts me, an agnostic, on a higher moral pedestal than the god of the Bible. I actually CARE about my fellow human beings. If God somewhere decided to be totally hands-off in human affairs, then he loses the status of onmi-benevolent and instead is omni-apathetic, and now there is no difference than there being no God at all.
God doesn't give a $h!t about His own creations. Perhaps God is too busy deciding every play of professional sports games. That's the only place He appears these days.

And for what better reason than to have the devils worshippers believe he died for our sins. This is one of the biggest lies told in the bible by the apostle Paul, who, after his conversion to Christianity, still held onto his strongly held Hebrew heritage and blood sacrificial offerings to his God Yahweh that animal and human blood sacrifices were a requirement for the atonement of their sins. So the *Sun* _STOOD STILL,_ and the moon stopped, till the nation avenged itself on its enemies . . .
*Genesis 9:18-27:* The sons of Noah who came out of the ark were Shem, Ham and Japheth, and from them came the people of the whole earth. One day, Noah drank some wine, became drunk and lay uncovered inside his tent. Ham, the father of Canaan, saw his father naked . . . . When Noah awoke and found out what had happened, he said, “Cursed be Canaan! The lowest of *SLAVES* will he be to his brothers.”
*Genesis 22:1-18* "God said to Abraham, 'Take your son, your only son, whom you _love_ - Isaac - and *SACRIFICE* him on the mountain…' Abraham bound his son Isaac and laid him on the altar. Then he took the knife to slay his son. But the angel of the Lord called out to him, 'Do NOT do anything to him! (April's Fool!). Now I know that you *fear* God. . . Because you have not withheld your only son, Your descendants will take possession of the cities of their enemies, because you have obeyed me.'”
*Mathew **15:21**-28* "Leaving that place, Jesus withdrew to the region of Tyre and Sidon.
A _Canaanite_ woman from there came to him, crying, 'Lord, Son of David, have mercy on me!
My daughter is demon-possessed and suffering terribly.'
Jesus answered, 'I was sent _only_ to the lost sheep of *ISRAEL.'*
The woman came and knelt before him. 'Lord, help me!' she said.
He replied, 'It is not right to take the children’s bread and toss it to the *DOGS.'*
'Yes it is, Lord,' she said. 'Even the dogs eat the crumbs that fall from their master’s table.'
Then Jesus said to her, 'Woman, you have great faith! Your request is granted.'
And her daughter was healed at that moment."

I'm struggling with my faith and questioning if God is real. I've been told that I would go to Hell if I "deleted" myself. Also, if animals could talk in the Bible, why can't they talk now? I heard my Mom tell my sister that animals don't have souls which is pretty messed up to tell a kid if they want to be reunited with their pets when they pass. I'm very glad I found your channel Kristi, keep up the wonderful work
Edit: Sorry this was a long comment plus I really wanted to get this off my chest and it feels good
Update: As of 8/18/24 I am no longer a Christian. I have read the Bible and concluded that it is a work of fiction. Angels and demons, Gods and Devils. That's something you hear in fantasy books. For the Christians that see this comment and many others talking about walking away from religion, please don't waste your time on convincing us that we're going to hell. Because hell doesn't exist. Your sky daddy isn't good. Jesus died for us? No he didn't. He died because of his ego and narcissism. Talking animals? Again, that's fantasy and animals can't really talk. You know it and I know it. A loving, caring, god wouldn't damn all of us to hell for living our life. Again to all the Christians that see this and try to convince me or other people that god is good, please do not waste your time

      Isaiah 13
Passing chap, 12, which is a mere song of joy, because of the presence of summer, I next come to the burden, oracle, or prophecy of, or concerning Babylon, or winter; for this myth of the year, which I have all along been dealing with, must be made to assume every conceivable form.
Isaiah (the Savior the Sun), the son of Amoz (the zodiac), is the seer or prophet. The noise of the nations of the mountains (summer months) comes from the end of the heaven of the Lord (Jahveh), with the weapons of his indignation (the winter) to destroy the whole land - to stop the growth of vegetation (v. 5), and to lay the land desolate, i.e., to deprive it of the direct rays of the Sun (v. 9). Therefore, howl ye; for the (last) day of the Lord (Jahveh = summer) is at hand; "it shall come as a destruction from the Almighty" (v. 6). This last sentence gives but an imperfect idea of the original keshod mishaddai jabo = " it shall come according to the failure of the breasts;" thus implying the gradual cessation of the summer crops; when "they shall be afraid; pangs and sorrows shall take hold of them" (v. 8).
"This (equinoctial day) of the Lord (Jahveh) cometh cruel, both with wrath and fierce anger" (v. 9); for the constellations, i.e., the six summer constellations, shall not give their (summer) light, the Sun shall be darkened (as in winter), and the moon shall not cause her light (but that of the Sun) to shine (v. 10). Thus, will I, by the hardships of winter, punish the world for their evil, i.e., for getting into the winter hemisphere? Behold, I will stir up the Medes (middle days, or such as partake of winter and summer) against them, which shall not regard silver (summer); and as for gold (spring), they shall not delight in it, for the time will be winter, the iron age (v. 17).
At v. 19 we come to the prophecy of the destruction, or end of Babylon or winter. In her last days, i.e., at the end of winter, Babylon, "the glory of kingdoms, the beauty of the Chaldees' excellency," shall be as (it was) when God (Elohim = Aries in summer) overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah (winter), i.e., it shall remain as it was when Sodom and Gomorrah were overthrown. The question will naturally arise: What was Babylon's condition at the overthrow of Sodom and Gomorrah? Was Babylon the same as Sodom and Gomorrah? Of course, the ordinary reader thinks it was destroyed as were Sodom and Gomorrah, and the text seems to bear out that idea. If destroyed as Sodom and Gomorrah were, then must the same phenomena have happened. There must have been a shower of fire and brimstone, and somebody's wife must have been turned into a pillar of salt, etc. (see Gen. 19, for the details).
Again: If it was to remain as Sodom and Gomorrah, then, since there are left no traces of these cities, there can be none of Babylon. This idea is well supported by Dr. Adam Clarke, who relates - "that by the concurrent testimony of modern travelers, no remains, not the least traces of these prodigious works, are now to be found " (comment, in loco.) Babylon (bab = gate; el = ram; on = Sun, the gate of the Ram-Sun, or Eloh = winter solstice) was a mythological city, like all Bible cities. The name may have been transferred to Earth, as in other instances, Heliopolis (Sun-city), etc., for example.
Of course, time past can "never be inhabited," except by creatures of the imagination; "doleful creatures," as satyrs, etc. The owls or ostriches must be left out, as they are not mentioned in the Hebrew text.

The fact that the Bible isn’t written that way, that it’s way too centered on Israel, on men, on leaders, on winning wars and on threatening us with consequences from a narcissistic male God, should make more people reconsider what they believe.

On the story of Job (which is terrible all around), I always think the worst part is the killing of Job's 10 children. They are simply killed as part of the bet. Sure, Job gets another batch of children at the end, but: What about those 10 individuals whose cold-blooded murder God permitted? Do they get any restitution? They've been robbed of their lives, simply because they were Job's children. They story doesn't give a hoot about them. They are ranked with Job's cattle and camels: replaceable assets.

Believers ask, "Who are you to question God?" I'm not questioning a perfect god, I'm questioning the myth of an evil being claiming to be god.
