Crochet This Cozy Cat Bed I Easy Beginner

- Let me show you how to crochet a square cat bed, with nice cozy walls that your pet can lay their head-on. This is an easy project, beginner-friendly. We will use Bernat Blanket yarn, but you can use a soft 4 weight if you choose. You can make this as big or as small as you need.

LOVE IT SO MUCH! I'll be making one for my mother in laws little yorkie. She always lays on blankets on the couch so this is PERFECT and much nicer than always having a big blanket out. 👍👍💕

I think I'm going to make Gemmy one for his cage when he's sleeping. I did crochet him a tiny blanket for in there using Bernat blanket yarn. But when he had worms he threw up all over both of them I made so I had to throw in a little fluffy baby blanket I got at a yard sale for $1.
Ahhh, poor thing. When I decided to make this I looked around and say online all of the beds are round. That was not going to work for my cat, he likes to sleep like a sphinx...so I needed a rectangle. I made 2 additional ones for the to other 2 cats in our family. They like them.

My cat when he lays down and he tends to stretch out flat or curl up in a ball but when he stretched out he's a lot longer I don't know if he's 12in or not maybe I need to measure him. Thank you for this cute pattern. I plan to make a couple more for my small dog and my daughter’s cat and wondered if you have this pattern written out. I keep making notes but because it’s in my “shorthand”... I have not written out a complete instruction.

Very Nice! I want to make a few of these as I have 4 friends that have cats! And they're all boys too. My roommate is one of them..she has a bed already, so I will measure that and work off of that size bc he's a big boy. I would love to have a cat, but I can't...allergic to the point I can't breathe, so I have to stay away from him and keep my bedroom door closed. But this looks like a great cat bed!! Easy too. Yes, my boy cat has not left the bed since I gave it to him. They tend to get in and don't want to leave. That blanket yarn is great. And yes the hook is from Hobby Lobby. They are $2.99. I have most of the sizes and really like them. When I use larger hooks, 12, 16 etc. I prefer the Hobby Lobby over Clover. The Hobby Lobby has a longer head and is more pointed to get into that big yarn.
@@TheCrochetNurse Yes, I agree about pointed head. I have a wooden hook like thatcand it works so well.. it's only a 6mm. Anyway, sounds like a great price for those hooks. Going to HL now to go shopping..need the yarn too. thanks again!🧶
