I’ve done screen replacements on my SE, and I’ve always just bought screens made for the 5S. I’ve found it easy so long as I’m patient, although that one screw that’s holds the Touch ID flex cable to the screen is super annoying, and takes forever to get right. Any tips on how to make that easier?
Aiden Bagshaw it seems it’s just using the right pair of tweezers. The little bracket for Touch ID doesn’t seem necessary anyways, and I haven’t put mine back in. I know I should, but I can’t be bothered.

They are probably fake china models, they are like $30. I you take one apart, the battery is white with black letters instead of black with white letters. Also, there is no touch ID and the doc connector is a weird tan color. Don't buy one!

Amazing, the difference between prices in different places, even when converted to your currency it costs way more over here, lol.

I remembered dropping my iPhone 5s twice and when ever I dropped it, I was pretty upset & I had to wait at least a month for my phone to get replaced since the guy that I took it to didn’t ask for 2 day shipping and I don’t really trust people to repair my phone if they are NOT asking for a faster shipping and that was the first time my phone broke but the second time, he refused to fix my phone and even if this guy fixes my stuff for a good deal, I can’t really trust him that much because he is so unskilled

However, in this specific video, you have missed a very important detail. The infamous screw size difference of the lcd plate... Ended up with a permament 'error 9' situation :( I dont blame u at all, the decision was mine alone but if I were u, I would add a text in the video to highlight the issue and help other people avoid similar problems in the future. Big fan of your other videos as well, keep up the good work.

Krusty The Clown It means the batteries dead. ( which I’m sure you know but you never know how people function anymore ) you may need to leave it on the charger a bit if it has been flat for a while. If that doesn’t work you could try cleaning the charging port or using different power cords and blocks or maybe even a different plug in. If those do not work you most likely need a new battery.

Nice OEM housing! It looks like you missed a component when reassembling; at 4:45 you can see that the washer that was floating around under the Wi-Fi antenna connector at 2:39 is missing. It's meant to go underneath the logic board right where the bigger of the two screws affixing the "small little bracket" is.
Also at 3:05, both charging flex cables are original parts. On the charging flex removed from the new housing, you can see that it has features that wouldn't be found on an aftermarket flex: 1.There is evidence of it originating from what was once a fully assembled iPhone around the headphone and Lightning ports; notice how your old one and the new one both have remnants of the black grommet that ensures a snug fit of the ports against the unibody housing 2. The top of the Lightning receptacle's exterior has a black sticker on it 3. The back of the FPC connector already has the foam padding on it That metal bracket underneath the headphone port is actually part of the antenna system. It looks like that on the A1530 model iPhone6,2 5s, but IIRC the one found in the iPhone6,1 5s is much smaller.
I got a iPhone 5s for free, it had a badly shattered screen, broken home button, back camera didn’t work, bad battery, bad charge port. I got a screen with home button from an iPhone SE which was dead, back camera just needed to be cleaned and the charge port also needed to be cleaned. The only thing wrong was the battery. It had 75% of its capacity. The housing was in near perfect condition because it spent it’s whole life in its case. It was also still running iOS 10.3.2 I sold it on eBay for 80 USD.

I have an iPhone 5s . And i was open it's body then change its display by own . But now dust inter in camera . I use removal gum to install display in body .but no result. There dust inter in camera.
Most of this guys destroyed phones probably came from TechRex or JerryRigEverything

Touch ID is broken.

I have a Space Grey 32 GB iPhone SE. Needs a new housing, a new battery and a new display. It's my own device and will remove the device from my iCloud account.
The housing is beaten up, the display is scratched and needs a new battery.

I need you guys’s help. I recently just bought a iPhone Xr but it was refurbished. Nothing wrong with that ofcourse but I can’t connect with my provider. The phone can read my Sim-card because it tells me to put in my code. But everytime it tries to look for my provider it says “No service” so I tried my card with my old phone thinking it was my card’s fault but that didn’t help. I snooped around on my phone and I saw something weird. If I went to settings and clicked on general. Then I clicked on info and scrolled down to “Network” with an arrow next to it. I clicked on that arrow and it said “Phone not allowed” and nothing else. Can you guys maybe help me?
Thanks to this video i just got my iphone 5s opened (for training purposes) which is a first time for me. Real interesting. And now i hope i will get it back together without breaking it....
