I could see Negan falling for Maggie but NEVER the other way around. The only way I can see them kissing is if there was a situation, say Negan's benefactor threatening to kill Maggie after being captured by the saviors and the only way he could save her is to pretend that they are lovers.

Maggie knew Glen for 1 and a half years. Maggie has known negan for about 11 years and has saved her son's life (not to mention her's) plus he's the most charming character there is

Might be actually better if Kal (he does somewhat resemble Glenn 2.0) from Hilltop or Alden was with Maggie, not Negan. But Kal hasn't made an appearance on the main show since Season 9, Episode 15 & throughout Season 10.
Originally, Alden and Maggie were going to be in a romantic relationship, similarly to that of Maggie and Dante in the Comic Series. However, this was scrapped due to Lauren Cohan's temporary departure from the show in Season 9. So it never happened either.
If they do this they have no respect for these characters.. I've never ever been so outraged at a walking dead show that I stopped watching it but this might end up being the very first time for me if they do this..
I think if they do this, it will be a shock moment and not in the way we think. It won't be romantic or sexual. Maybe they have to pretend to be together to survive a group or something, I have no idea. Even then, it would definitely be Negan kissing Maggie, not a shared moment they have. But, I don't think it will be genuine or what we expect.
Of course it makes no sense and would be bad for the story but honestly it would be entertaining and I’d probably just laugh

Fair thought, but they also were originally going to have Maggie and Negan lead the main show till Season 15 as the leads. (Daryl and Carol were gonna go to spinoff). So after the show was called to close off, I’m sure this was there way of still using them
Because their dynamic in the show is cool. Sworn enemies who hate each others guts having to work together is a pretty cool premise.
@@ViralEdge that's not true at all, the spin off are Amc response to Daramont winning the lawsuit, 30%-50% of all epiosde earning are to go to him so Amc canceled the series and forced every "major" character to get a spin offs to loophole that.

To be fair while this would be worse you could already argue their relationship as things are is pushing it. I honestly can’t imagine remotely forgiving someone if I was in her shoes no matter what. The fact that Maggie and Negan weren't left at how they ended at the end of 11x24 is already a stretch. I think dead city is the weakest spinoff because the premise is the least interesting in my opinion. It's pointless, even though the quality isn't bad. If they have Maggie and Negan get together in this show, it'll make dead city worse than Tales and Fear.
I really hope this just doesn't happen but if it does the only way it should happen is if it's to trick someone or 'save' Maggie by negan saying 'dont kill her that's my wife and then kissing her to prove it. kissing for a reason other that isn't because they actually love eachother but I really don't want this to happen at all
I'm not a fan of the ship myself but I do think it would be something very interesting to watch. How would something like that happen? I do think it could have potential to have a deep dive into emotions and trauma and psychology ect so if they can do it's right then it'll be intriguing to watch but if they do it wrong then it'll just be a whole mess. I liked how they ended things in the main show, for me dead city just wasn't needed anyway

I literally stopped watching Dead City at episode 3. I figured I’d try again at when the book of carol starts, but if I hear they do that in Dead City, I’m definitely not finishing that show.

@jgorms4054 It's quite tragic really, AMC fires Frank Darabont, after Season 1's success & Season 2's first episode. Scott Gimple when he was promoted after S8 as well removed as the Showrunner in his new found position decides to fire Dave Erickson and then hijacking over FTWD. Also, bringing crossover characters such as Morgan, Dwight, Sherry. While Glen Mazzara's episodes for S2, S3 are well directed he too got fired. Angela Kang doing damage control and cleaning up AMC / Gimple's mess he made for S9, S10, S11. It's way too late now to fix everything. They've lost 17 million viewers down to half of a million watching the spin-offs after the comic story arcs have truly ended.
@@FEAR_Operative Yeah the former larger fanbase was not going to stick around until the spinoffs and they were smart to an extent to do so. They bloated the seasons of the main show. Despite Carl's death and the added mysteries on top of mysteries for an extended period of time, the hijacking of FTWD has always been my BIGGEST issue because FTWD was SUPPOSED to be its own title, independent of the other interconnected titles. Even more unforgivable has been how Ian and Andrew were kept as showrunners for FIVE FCKING SEASONS, so I will not believe any excuses from AMC when it comes to firing creatives to improve the shows, absolute non-sense. Other than Vince Gilligan's work, AMC has damaged itself and it should suffer as a network. Kirkman should have turned to HBO because all AMC did was trying to separate the clay that is already too thin to spread.

This theory has been around since S11.
I didn't believe it back then because it's just stupid. There are of course cases where the "victim" falls in love with the kidnapper/villain, but I just don't see any connection between the two of them.
They've tried to kill each other so many times now. I found the people who fueled this theory strange back in S11.
Especially after Maggie had the last conversation with Negan in S11.
If it's true, it's more likely to be a nightmare scene from Maggie or Hershel. But I don't see any truth in the theory.
The writers know exactly how popular the relationship between Maggie and Glenn and especially the character Glenn was, which is why I doubt they'll go down that path now.
Especially when you consider that the spin-offs themselves are getting a lot more attention.
The fact that Hershel exists alone makes the theory too strange. Maggie didn't really have a good relationship with him in S1 either.
So why destroy the relationship even further with such weird actions. There would definitely be better choices for a stepfather lul.
I liked how they did it in the comics with Dante.
I think they were going to do the same with Alden, but then couldn't do it when Lauren Cohan left the show in S9.
I always found it strange that Enid and Alden were a thing, even though Alden was clearly built up to have more of a relationship with Maggie and also seems to be closer to Maggie's age.
I would have much preferred to see that.
I liked Dead City, but I still think it's just too much. For me the Maggie and Negan issue's were already over with S11. Dead City still feels a bit like they're trying to squeeze every last bit out of the Saviors and Maggie and Negan relationship plots.
