The writing and filming in Daryl Dixon is way better which is crazy how does Daryl get a better show then Rick MF Grimes ‼️

U hit it right on it was terrible

They sold and rushed the spin off. We didn't see rick get to reunite with Daryl and other characters. I wish we got to see more of Rick evolving. For example, it would have been nice to see if Rick took over the CRM.

It wasnt simply that there was a strong presence in the fanbase borderline trolling where people kept asking "but where is Morales??"

They could of done a lot more with Morales coming back in season 8 but they did not.... Not sure if it was lazy writing or maybe the actor could only come back for this short scene but it would of been cool to even see his back story and to see how he ended up there. They could of done that with a 10-15 minute flash back but they said NOPE!

What happened to the 3 movies that were going to come out? All we got was the crap "The Ones Who Lived" short ass tv series. Did the movies end up getting canceled and they just had to get Rick back on the show so they made that short series??? It was cool to see Rick back but damn they really dropped the ball with that series. I am hoping the 2 spinoff's are at least going to stay some-what good.

So glad a show is back and you and others are able to get back into a the weekly review cycle. It’s for the wrong reasons unfortunately. I wish it was because the show was actually good.

As someone who watched twd when it first came out (which i rarely do in case a show is bad) sitting down every Sunday with my dad for every ep release. The show was so promising at it’s start. To then dropping the show the moment glenn died. Picked it up again recently to see what happened after only to drop it again permanently bc of Carl’s death. An absolute waste of potential added to a cheap death. Biggest “fuck you” ive ever seen dealt to fans and audiences of twd universe, and this is coming from a JJK fan.

We love you bro, I always find myself agreeing with everything you're saying about all these walking dead shows. All my friends fell off (understandably) and u and a few other youtubers are the only people I can listen to and feel like FINALLY someone feels what I feel. Keep up the great work brother and one day it'd be a dream to have a walking dead podcast episode and maybe u can take calls and get different opinions

Despite, how much of a mess season 7 was, Rick was utilized really well in it before season 8, killing Carl instead of him for the peace message was such a bad choice, like we got Morgan there, and no one care about his annoying peace should be the only option bs, but nope, let's kill Carl so we don't have to pay adult wage, like cmon, couldn't they just kill off Morgan or wait until the commonwealth arc and kill off Rick.

There is no amount of successful writing on earth that could convince me that carol would leave Virginia to find daryl and find him in France that quickly, should be a long process but the show will be cancelled so they have to cash grab Carol into the show while they can

Yeah, I was surprised to see people being so positive about this. I mean, if people liked it, cool. No hair off my balls. I just walked away from it thinking it was convenience after convenience after convenience - it was like Fear the Walking Dead levels of lazy writing. I understand that it WAS a difficult writing challenge to get Carol to France from the US during the apocalypse. But that said, they didn't try at all, haha. And the disappearing act by the big bad woman, oh man. It was still entertaining enough to watch and all that. I'm not even the biggest Walking Dead fan, not even of the good seasons - I just dig the world enough to care enough to check out the content. Enjoy your vids, Jerry.

Tbh the idea of doing that all over again feels fucking exhausting.

TBH I didn’t mind his character journey but I just wish they gave his story a proper conclusion. Him leaving was just too random and out of nowhere and he just disappears without a trace. I wish he had more of a relationship with Carl so that would also be a dynamic for his character. It would be full circle to go from Rick meeting with Morgan and Duane to Morgan meeting up with Rick and Carl. Him take a liking to Carl and see resemblance in Duane would of been great. I think he should have came back at the final season just for closure but not be as emotionally unstable as we saw of him previously. When he returns he’s more balanced between Clear and compassion, instead of flip flopping he returns with a clearer head and he knows which situation requires certain characteristics. In some ways he becomes more like Rick but more diplomatic and friendly, while also having the willingness to get dangerous if the situation calls for it. He knows when to eliminate threats.

My episode count would be: Season 7 episodes: 1,4,7,8,9,13,15,16. A Then B, season 8 episodes: 1,4,5,8,9,10,15,16 That’s my season 7

I also feel killing off Shane was a bad idea. He could’ve ran off with that kid to his group and then came back into the later seasons. Or if he did get stabbed then pretended to be dead and then once Rick and Carl ran away from the herd then Shane could’ve ran away in a random direction, Shane in the later season probaly would’ve been huge for the show especially if he was with neegon or the governor..

Episode one of the ones who live was a masterpiece. Episode 6 was the opposite.

Or what if Carl was taken to the CRM and became a one eyed badass trained soldier. Rick and the group could be looking for Carl for a few seasons and eventually reunite with a trained Carl

Trying to write TWD without Rick was like trying to make a pizza without cheese.

I thought with Maggie leaving it would be the perfect opportunity for Jesus to shine as the new leader of Hilltop who’s a badass. An appropriate death would of been at the very end of the Whisperer arc and he should have been killed by Beta himself. Nobody else is worthy of killing such a badass character. He would have been good in the Reaper arc, especially against Carver, but him going out saving the communities and going full ninja on all the walkers and whisperers would be a good ending for him. He didn’t do anything in the Commonwealth arc anyways. I understand them not making him go ninja on Saviours since that would be quite unrealistic in a gunfight but the Whisperers would’ve been the perfect group to showcase his skills in full effect. Aaron saving him in the comics but not being able to save him in the show would be a good nod too.

To be fair we have no idea what will happen after these spin offs events

If nobody Rick knew died he would be the Rick from season 1 still, but I will say I wouldn’t change what Rick did so glad they didn’t do what I thought they would
