James Lockhart was always a conductor of taste, and a great promoter of music of this era. An interesting tonal and melodic piece in the style of Bax, both mysterious and joyous, with a sense of triumph and play after the years of war.

Programme (title): La vie et la mort d' un jeune aviateur. 'The Life and the Death a Young Aviator" in the World War I. Maybe it was a friend of him it is so. And the composer had to have some experience of the flight. The and is the death quite genial. After the death of the hero everything goes on ... One of the best works of the composer.
