4L60Es die from insufficient line pressure, not from heat. At 130F, the fluid is too thick and will never boil off any condensation that gets inside. Adding line pressure in programming is only a band-aid. Fix the root cause. What every 4L60E needs is a new boost valve (from Sonnax or TransGo) and a TransGo pressure regulator valve directly above it. If that still doesn't fix it, replace the EPC solenoid. If that still doesn't fix it, the EPC filter in the separator plate is clogged and should be replaced or eliminated.
I agree, I’m a believer of raising line pressure mechanically in the transmission, rather than trying to do it just through PCM. Then other issues can be addressed when it’s apart. Vacuum checking the valve body and pump is very important.

50 dollar Spector cold air intake 40 dollar open end k&N cone lightly oiled and trick flow elbow.
your Camaro I think will be in 10 second running Im very Educated Guessing.
in scca racing against 302s they make your camaro run 240 horse restictor plate.
The air foil does the same thing.
The air foil was engineered by Ford Holley Ha Ha H a
We dyno or LT1s stock and get either 220 at back wheels or 275 and ever body
calls you freak
but 275 horse is weather or not it has 20 dollar air foil or not.
Just trust me.
Thats 55 horse on stock lt1 Can just imagine what yours will do uncorked.
The ford companies that make them probably dont make a profit
at 20 bucks . but its worth it to keep 4th gens from picking on mustangs.
I got a potato ill sell you for ten bucks stuff it in 1 of your exaust pipes That will give you 10 more horse lol
The power of suggestion is very strong on the weak minded.
You are smarter than that.
well keep talking
@@strongspeedworks in the beginning of LT1s they made iron cop car heads the first vortecs with learning
if they made runners bigger the lost vortec tumble .
they didnt realize it just moved up in RPM thats why if you get air flow To your stock heads it will
do burn out grab traction go to about 5000 rpm and 40 horses hit and the tires will break traction again.
heads flow 220 at 4 inches of lift at about 4800 rpm and flow dwindles off
and starts tumbling they rated the lt1 at 4800 talk about under rated 40 horse cold air intake and k&N another 15
you can put same pistons and cam in small block chevy and LT1 will destroy it.
some might say its the reverse cooled heads they would be wrong .
That is controled by thermastat and your temp gage tells you both are 180 maybe 190 on lt1
The old 427 Vettes with money Dumped in them only pulled 12 1/2 second Quarter mile
th double hump heads had same sized runners on intake as lt1 smaller on exaust
and they rated the without alternator smog water pump power steering ac.
The LT1s even though not advertised till 96 the started in 93.
Took me years to figure out Why my LT1 would burn the tires off a second time in every gear.
Id need a set of stickies to embrace most of the power that hits at 5000 Rpm
Also you talked about Rocker arms Flexing .
Im sure you ment 3/8 stud Flexing .
In the Stock Racing where all the car companies compete with their newest cars .
The Z28 LT1 lost being in first 97 for sure was almost a lap in front and snapped a 3/8 rocker stud and lost race.
Im sure they played with tune to do 7500 rpm mine runs at 6000 un tuned just fine.
But the stud is 7/16 ths in head 3/8 though rockers
so studs should be replaced by full 7/16ths studs 7/16ths Roller rockers .
in 95 96 the Z28 lost the race due to Driver That went to ford team in 97.
I think he was already on their
Pay roll.
93 94 Z28s Won but those Drivers moved on to Nascar.
Some thing I did on stock 97 was used a 12 volt Chain saw sharpener thats like a Die grinder about 4 inches long .
I port matched exaust Runners in engine bay on engine and ported out LT1 stock intake manifolds.
The only upgrade I plan on doing is 7/16th studs and Crane gold 1.5 Rollers .
The only stock Cars I have left to beat racing is LT4 ZL1 and ZR1 .
And may have raced them already .
LS7 supercharged is 7 second car LS3 LS1 and newer 2014 Stingrays LT1s Ive beat Already some Built Some Bolt ons .
The newer cars have trouble with traction control performance levels The weight of them and managing throttle with stickies even.
What People Dont understand is The Camaro has been designed as Comfortable Heavier Touring cars like the Corvette Designed for
Touring Sportscar class type Racing against Foreign Designed Super cars.
But Ive even Beat a Lambo Countac In Road Race on Highway During Hot August nights.
But the Guy was running out of gear every Shift but going through power band We were Equal pulling .
And I out shifted him so I chalked it up to Bad Driver He should have been banging that paddle Shifter as fast as he could.
300 pony Z28 beating 700 horse Lambo Left me in Histerics lol
No, I meant what I said. The rocker itself flexes. Not the stud.
Im not sure why you’ve decided to leave these huge comments full of misinformation.
@@strongspeedworks😅
Should note that once you start making real power, one should plan on dumping the Opti for Torqhead or equivalent
I’ve made 500+ hp on a stock opti.
Yea for how long lol
@@sergiodpkrpm is what is going to kill it. Not necessarily horsepower.
If you’re spinning it to 7k constantly, it’s gonna chuck the rotor.
Correct you are sir…that’s exactly what I was going thru breaking rotors….once I went Torqhead that’s when the engine really started to shine
@@sergiodpkI’ve had my torqhead kit just sitting in a box for months while I was gathering the rest of the parts I’m going to change. How you liking the torqhead setup? Make a good difference in the driveability? I thought I was going to have to install mine earlier than I wanted to as the big rain we just had flooded the neighborhood streets and I just knew it was going to take my opti out but I got lucky. It just fried my O2 sensors from them going under water instead 😂
I got quite a bit mods on my old lt1. Yours sounds a1
Thanks!
@strongspeedworks got a issue. Nothing major drove my z28 to work today. the serpentine belt sounds like a mouse is under the hood.. I replaced the belt 3 months ago. Sprayed it this morning, still squeaking
@jarmaljackson probably tensioner bearing chirping at you. Easy fix.
I have a automatic 94 z28
Where you getting a tune?
Watch my other videos.
How do you feel about the comp 268 ... I have it in the block .. is it sufficient enough or would you change it...
