It’s because you can get him to tune for you electronically through email and data logging.That way you know it’s for YOUR car not some standard generic BS. Probably about same moreless money 💵 wise and it’s 🔥and ya have piece of mind knowing that it’s right not a waste of money
Alot of the problem is. People like me dont have anyone around that tunes LT1’s so mail order is the only way. Unless transporting the car a long way. 🤷🏼♂️

When I finally get around to my 95 C4, I know who I want to tune it. I’m efi illiterate so I’m kinda intimidated to mess with it. But I want it to be quicker.
Mine is portable. Requires power and ground (I have battery clips for mine) And an o2 bung in the exhaust. If they don’t have one, just take a stock one out and slap it in there.
Can the LT1 pcm be programmed to energize an output at WOT? Like maybe the EGR or AIR signal wire could be set up to turn on at >95% tps? I need to wire up a kickdown switch for my th400.

I have a 58 mm TPIS throttle body and I had to file the bolt holes for the throttle position sensor to get it to read the right voltage at 0% throttle

The internet is a powerful tool. If you have a cable and laptop, I can remote tune it.

What cam would you have pick if this engine had great heads, intake, and the right compression ratio for pump gas? I still think 292 is too big.

Nothing tps. Just map and rpm.
I’d suggest a wot switch from a nitrous kit.
