    National League needs to be taken more seriously and given the 3rd promotion place to L2. The NL is harder to get out of than the championship because it's only 2 promotion places (1 auto, 1 playoffs) but every team that's gone up recently to L2 has flourished.
    Big team's in the NL can completely argue that the top half of the NL is stronger than the bottom half of L2!

    I used to play a LOT of Championship manager in the early - mid 90's. These were the wages of quite a lot of premiership players back then ('93-'97). Though now £100-200k a week is prevalent in the PL, I saw a documentary about 80's footballers and the wages of some were shocking. They went through the Liverpool 1984 European cup side and Souness left for Sampdoria to earn a whopping £100k A YEAR! Steve Nicol was on a miserly £350 a week at the time....

    Oddly enough, Paul Mullin, a prolific striker born in 1994, first made his mark at Morecambe in 2014 - the club where Paul Mullin, a prolific striker born in 1974, abruptly ended his career after suffering an injury in 2011...I may be wrong, but surely this is the first instance in the history of the game when two completely unrelated players with the same name had that connection to the same club (one at the beginning of his career, the other at the end). • @thelinedrive

    This was one I absolutely knew most of the names on this list simply because I’ve played Wrexham as my Football Manger save. Got them double promoted in back to back seasons to league one with that core of Hayden, Tozer, Mulin and Jones. Jones was my first major transfer out because he wanted to go back to the Scottish premiership after a season. Hayden is my captain still 3 consecutive seasons. Tozer’s contract is a pain in the ass to move now getting paid $367k annually in league 1 and Mulin begins to hit his effectiveness ceiling once getting here.

    • @dannydarkspace
      @dannydarkspace 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm considering an FM22 Wrexham save, trying something a bit different to the norm. Any tips?

    • @thelinedrive
      @thelinedrive 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@dannydarkspace most of the young players on your team aren’t worth it so don’t be attached. They are mostly nice backups or emergency backups. Bickerstaff is probably the one young player who could be something but he refuses to leave on any loan whatsoever despite never playing.
      Most of what you need to win back to back promotions to get you to League One. So focus on bringing in young guys who can contribute now but also develop with your team as you progress through the leagues level by level so that when it comes time for a lot of these veterans to be sold you have ready developed players.
      Use Luke Young as a regista whenever you aren’t an overwhelming underdog. Him and Jones will be your best assist players your first season. Also Hayden is your captain and keep him a right center back. Hossanah is the top young guy on your team who if given time and training can become a championship level player.
      Use your partnership with Liverpool for loans, particularly when you are looking for attacking wings to compliment Mulin.
      Also use Dior Agus, the guys work rate will help you knock off giants and win games. Like him, Mulin, Hayden, Lennon and Hossanah are all still on my team in league 1.
      I suggest running a 4-1-3-1-1 formation your first season because you can get a ton of easy goals in the national league with outlet passes to the striker in the national league.
      If you decide to run a traditional 4-3-3 DM your front 3 should always be Angus, Mulin and Mcaiden that first year.
      Be ready to upgrade your strike team by the time you get the league 1. Mulin is good enough for that level, but his lack of intelligence and composure compared to say a veteran like Nakai Wells from Bristol City, who should be available on a free after your double promotion, it becomes noticeable that your attack is struggling because Mulin becomes an inconsistent primary striker at league 1 and you start to see more contributions from your wings and center midfielders. You can still use Mulin in that role and as a shadow striker, but get an upgrade when you get there for when you get to the championship and the young striker you will develop and replace the upgrade.
      Ask your board to invest in youth recruitment when you see the preliminary recruiting, you should end up with back to back excellent classes. For instance I have a 16 year old center back I developed as my rotation back for Hayden and Lenon.
      Also, always target Lenon on corners.. He is a heading machine

    How do British people memorize all these clubs ? The non league system alone there is bigger than some countries whole football league’s combine. Do you know how many players playing in England’s non league thats likely just underrated or isn’t getting media attention but can play in league one or maybe higher ? When your football system is that large you can bet there’s players flying under the radar that’s very talented. It’s hard to keep tabs on so many players.
