Thank you Professor!! I just bought my second Jackery 1500. They are great and powerful units. Strong , reliable and very well made. Your review made all the difference before I made my purchases. Thanks again !!
Genuinely really interested in jackery at the mo! And I’m so glad I found your channel, you sir. Are fabulous! Thankyou for your testing. Your videos are by far the best I’ve come across yet
Thank you for demonstrating the boost solar panel simulation charger combos. I was scratching my head over that and now I see how that is done. COOL!!!
I just bought the jackery explorer and it arrived from Germany. Have spent testing it out in my campervan here in Ireland over the weekend. When lockdown ends I will give a good testing. Happy so far.
Yesterday we had a power out and my wife and I use fans while we sleep the 240 used less power then my 300 it's like my 1st gen 300 wastes power on the 2nd plug. I'd love to get this but I can't even afford a 1000 so not my back I guess to bad for me. Another great video professor hobo.
I love my Jackery 1000 but wish they would offer the choice of the other model they sell in Japan with a handle that fits down in the unit to take up less space & the display going dark after a few seconds
I absolutely just LOVE having a 32 lb flashlight...its just AMAZING....This should be rather easy considering I'm 5 foot 2 in heels and 114 lbs.....THANKS JACKERY!!!!!!

As always professor... Great review!!! I loved the inverter results. 👍🏻🤪 Good work Jackery. Just fix the fan noise. Or, we should tell "Manuel" to fix it. 🤔
Enjoying your channel, Professor. Learning a lot about these power units. I have a couple of now ancient Jackery 160 units, for the plane, they still charge a Mac at 80W. Full charge after a year in the drawer. Agree on the missing 12v outputs on this 1500 model, staying 'tuned'. I always jam the other earbud in and turn up the load test music.
Received my 1500 4/20. The extra AC charger and 8mm adapter were not included. I emailed Jackery and the response came this morning that due to production both items will be supplied at the end of May.
Don’t forget lifePo4 don’t work under 0C temp. Jackery still work at -10C. Bluetti ac200p cannot (look the user reviews and specs). But lifecycle are greater. Yes. The ideal would be a new battery type with both advantages. Speciàized battery that work in the cold are more expensive with less lifecycle.
It seems to me that the Bluetti EB150 is a better value at $1,000 for 1,500wh of power. I realize the EB150 has a smaller inverter and is missing a couple of things that are on this new Jackery, but a 1,000 watt inverter paired with a 1,500wh battery is probably fine for most applications. Stated differently, I’m not sure an inverter that can drain the battery to zero in 60 minutes is all that useful. If you have loads in excess of 1,000 watts that are non-negotiable, the Bluetti AC200 with a bigger (lifepo4 !) battery seems like a better value at a slightly higher price and with many features that this new Jackery doesn’t have.
Thank you for all the helpful information. You help me pick up a Jackery 1000, for all my Camping needs. Thanks for the work you are doing again. Keep having fun
Loved the review, as always. You complained about the lack of CPAP applicable 5mm or 6mm DC outputs. However, one of the most widely used, the Resmed Airsense 10 uses the DC car plug for its official DC adapter. So really, no problem there. It's good to go to power CPAP.
I just recently got one and the bag has been upgraded its a rugged case also it does have the two adapters for the panels and it's the thicker pin so you don't need a adapter. But it doesn't have the smaller adapter (7909 to 8020)
This is a really good in-depth review -- I really liked that you got into the detailed electrical load and charging tests. Few TH-cam channels go this in-depth on electrical/battery product reviews. Great job!
LifePo4 have good lifecycle but they have cons as well. Much much heavier (jackery 2000 is 19kg when Bluetti ac200p is 27kg) and don’t work under 0C degree température which is an issue if it is winter in canada. You would have a generator but it can’t work and would shutdown like the Bluetti ac200p (look at amazon and the review of the guy that tried to use for its farm non heated). The jackery can work at -10C which is a bit better but it cannot charge under 0C according to the specs if i don’t mistaken. You have to think if there is no electricity there won’t be heater so the room will easily go below 0C when outside it is -20 or -15. So lifePo4 is not the 100% solution. Lithium battery specialised for this application are more expensive and with less life cycle, because they use energy to heat themselves. You would need a battery heater but you need energy for that.
I'm going to wait just a little bit longer until a better one comes out at a better price. Or until I can afford the BLUETTI Portable Power Station AC200P 2000W.
That's what I'm thinking. I was excited about this but not sold on spending that much right now anyway.. So I'm going with the thousand Watt right now with the sale going
The jackery 1500 is better than the ac200p in efficiency and weight, and the inverter is better. Also the jackery 1500 has physical button and don’t rely entire on the screen. Also the screen is readable outside in the sun which is not the case for bluetti ac200p.
One of my main intended uses is for refrigerators and freezers. Once cold, they should be moderate power users, but when the compressor kicks in, the voltage/power spikes briefly. Can you test these "solar generators" in that use case? Duration, two at the same time while solar charging at the same time....
The best thing about this new Jackery seems to be the NOCO ads that keep playing before and during. I have a NOCO and think it's great. (Thanks Chrome.) I have a Jackery 240 and think it's great. (Thanks Tom.)
We recently bought this model and it didn’t come with that single adaptor only a double, but we only have 1 solar panel and it doesn’t work with only one panel ? Any idea where I could get a single one ?
Typically use of an inverter on one of these "solar generators" (any brand) costs you about 20% of the energy output. In other words, if a cpap (or whatever) draws 100w per hour on 12v, it will draw 120w through an inverter. These aren't exact figures because I don't have a cpap machine, but they illustrate the power loss by using an inverter. I hope this helps.
Another great review. I have the 240, 300 and the 1500. The 240 and 300 have really surprised me, the 1500, not so much. My main use is 12v and USB. I use them to power my refrigerators and charge batteries, while on off road adventures. Granted, I bought the 1500 at the start of summer, so it's only been used when it is hot during the day and warm at night. Based off of your capacity test, the 12v should have a bit more than 4x the capacity of the 300. I find that is not the case and that it is lower than that. My guess, it's because of that damn fan!!! Even just using the 12v outlet, if it is over 80 degrees, that thing is screaming! I've also noticed that when it is hot, and you are doing pass through charging, it will start to limit the input watts. The 300 or 240 just don't care, until they get too hot and stop charging lol. I am sure those fans will protect the batteries better and extend the life of them. I just can't help but to think that the fan profiles are a bit too aggressive and consume more energy than they really need to. That being said, I'm still glad that I bought it. I'm hoping that now that it's cooling down, I'll start to see better results with it.
Just ordered one, thanks to your update video. This was a GREAT, very in depth overview and test of the product, kuddos! Quick question: Can I use ANY brand solar input? (as long as it has the input cables are the proper type of course) Thanks for your time!
Oh man! How I wish someone did a giveaway of this combo pack with panels. I'd sign up instantly and cross my fingers. Been waiting for something like this for years.
Question. I recently seen a video discussing lithium compression. I understand that lithium has a an expanding and contracting process during charging and discharging. The discussion has suggested that through a process of limited compression of the batteries it will extend the life of them by like 40%. Could you possibly do some testing to see if this theory is true in a practical sense?
Thank you for your review. I' m from Germany and I'm very interesting in those technicals things. Jackery is now in Europe (so in Germany). The new Jackery 300-in my mind a good Jackery- (2000, 1500) is/are not available, only 240, 500 and 1000. I've bought a Jackery 1000 and one Solarpanel 100. The Solarpanel is great, the Jackery is defect. But I must say, that the service from Jackery is very! interesting to solve my problem - nice. USA - Germany is a long way (sorry, my english is'nt very good). Thank you and greetings from Uta
I don’t go camping I got a picnic I go to the park of them in my backyard should I just use the power station OK 4 Solar panel or just two or just Power Station sir
Just ordered a 1000, no solar panels and was thinking about adding the 1500 with solar panels. But, your dislikes is causing me to hold off. I may get another AC adapter for the 1000 and shorten the recharge duration. I'm only using it here in Florida to get through hurricane outages to supplement my gas generator.
I had a problem with 500W Jackery power bank went abruptly dead from appearing fully charged. I was using a 100W Harbor Freight Solar Panels kit with a home built adapter. It would put about 35W into the Jackery and I'd get a False Reading of 99-100% charge, and then the unit would abruptly fail. Since I live not too far from Jackery's main office in Fremont, CA I hand-delivered my unit back to them. I ended up buying one of their proprietary 100 watt solar panel "Books," it delivered more like 70% under hazy conditions. I have the Power Bank Charging on 120VAC at the time of this writing.
Have you heard of any issues with the power brick on these jackery 1500? Mine just started charging up to 140 watts instead of the 280 it used too. I have another jackery 1500 power brick that charges the unit as it should.
Greetings! Hey, I'm not sure if this would be something that is of interest, but would you ever consider doing any videos on EMP protections for either home or auto? I'm wondering how to protect both and even with a battery backup (for home) it wouldn't matter much if things got fried (lightning storm, etc). If not...do you know someone who does review that subject matter? Thanks much!
(I'm sure glad you said it though, I'm just wondering how far it's going to go without a fan...) (I'm over here thinking it's broken; I sure as heck didn't try nothing, to make it go-- heck no. Hot days haven't stayed long enough for me to care, yet.)
hey Hobotech, I received the E1500 the other day>ordered Amazon the day it became available. It only came with one ac charger and NO 8mm adapter, only two solar power cables. I want a simple small to larger 8mm adapter like you show in the video. where can I find that please. I want to hook up two 300watt solar arrays, one to each input jack.
You'll have to ask Jackery. The decision to add a 2nd charger came after launch and they should have included the single panel adapter. You should be able to hook up your two arrays to the included solar combiner.
@@HOBOTECH the box for the solar power cables says an output of 185w. So it would seem even using 4 solar saga panels @ 400watts or any combination of third party panels to achieve 600watts, 300w per port, you will only be able to push 185w per port or a total of 370watts into the unit using the two supplied power cables. Is this correct or am I missing something. I wanted to parallel three 100w panels using a 3 to 1 cable to one port and another three 100w panels to the other port. I don't see how I can get the full 600watts using the supplied parallel adapters.
@@manacoo57 on their site, they show 2 set of new 200w panel (and waterproof). So 800w but limited to 2x300w. You loose 200watt but panel are maybe 80/85% effective so that’s ok. It should do the 600w. They provide a module to connect the two panels into each input.
I spoke with Manuel and indeed he lost his book. Thank you for finding it. He will email you shortly if you could kindly return his book. I fear he may be licking the 12v circuits so it would be greatly appreciated if you could send the manual back so he doesn't harm himself. Thank you. Great channel by the way.
Hey Bud I plan on getting a jacket but it's showing the car panel the new ones you got are bigger they don't look like it but they are I only got 200 W so that part panels going on my truck and there flexible ones that be glued on I need a controller but do I need one if I just buy a jacket yet Have a good day
Just received my replacement 1500. Both the first one and this one doesn’t come with the 8mm adapter nor is it pictured in the Manuel 😂. Curious why they took it out . Hopefully this unit works fine. So far the AC stays on 👍🏻
We have the Jackery Solar Saga 100 watt solar panel and the Jackery 1500. Is there anyone that makes a extension cable that will connect to both? I have purchased two different cables off of Amazon but generally one end wont work. Thanks!
I am looking at getting a Jackery 1500 for my folks to use when the power goes out to run my mothers Oxygen and charge other items. I was thinking of putting some BougeRv 180watt panels on the roof of there house to keep it charged. How many panels would i need, to get the fastest charge time?
Excellent review as always, but one thing you said confused me. You said that Jackery did not put on 12 volt 5.5mm or 6mm outputs like they did on almost all their other power stations. I have the Jackery Explorer 1000, 300 and 240 and none of them have a 5.5mm or 6mm 12 volt output. Why are you saying most have them?
i'vew watched about 4 videos concerning reviews of Jackery and Bluetti (one of them was yours!) ....Jackery has a better price point, unsure about Bluetti beyond the battery material. Great reviews!
You definitely know testing of the electronic products...I must have missed it somewhere.. but can I use my own SOLAR PANELS...You used Jackety with their adapters ...what must I do to hook up my own....
I've been having trouble with the PD port on my recently purchased 300...I'll leave it at that... (Another awesome review, I've learned so much from this channel! ⚡⚡⚡)
@@AskIveSolar I'm not one to air out my dirty laundry but it seems that I received a dud 300. I used the PD input along with the AC adaptor and I was getting amazing charging results, just like Dr. Hobo! But soon the port stopped accepting a PD charge from my PD certified adaptor. The PD port doesn't charge either. Now the green USB light stays on and the unit is slowly discharging without even having anything plugged in. I've tried resetting it multiple times. This doesn't seem like normal behavior. To top it all off (pun intended) the Jackery customer service has been underwhelming to say the least. It's been two weeks since my original order and I still do not have a fully functioning 300. Their response rate to emails is a day or two between messages. My understanding is that the customer service is highly acclaimed but my experience has been less than stellar. All in all, not a good first time experience with Jackery.

Love that light expression, LOL
Word to your motherboard 😁😁. Thanks for this review.
Can you set the min and max charge on these things to save battery life?
Can you just use the lighter cable to plug in an external 100amp battery to extend the capacity?
Hi Professor Hobo!
Why oh why doesn’t Jackery listen to the Master HOBOTECH ? They add some good stuff and take others away !
Is that 51 volts max between both solar charge ports or just 1?
(straight face) “This one-watt flashlight.”
👏👏👏
Use a gasifier
(I'm sure glad you said it though, I'm just wondering how far it's going to go without a fan...) (I'm over here thinking it's broken; I sure as heck didn't try nothing, to make it go-- heck no. Hot days haven't stayed long enough for me to care, yet.)
How Do I Get the Extra stuff with it.
Extra power brick + extra Small plug ?
A good day to watch the Professor
hey Hobotech, I received the E1500 the other day>ordered Amazon the day it became available.

Apparently you only get the adapter if you bought the bundle and their currently out of stock 👎🏻
We have the Jackery Solar Saga 100 watt solar panel and the Jackery 1500. Is there anyone that makes a extension cable that will connect to both? I have purchased two different cables off of Amazon but generally one end wont work. Thanks!
It would have been nice to know how many WH this unit would provide from the ac inverter.
What happen if my baterry is full charge and my solar panel still plug in?
Thanks a massive power bank. Jackery is stepping up the game with this latest launch.
Thanks - You were very helpful on the features and the technology- Keep up the great work!
Great review! Thanks!
how long would a 1500 watt small heater run on this? Taking a guess, 1HR ?
I am looking at getting a Jackery 1500 for my folks to use when the power goes out to run my mothers Oxygen and charge other items. I was thinking of putting some BougeRv 180watt panels on the roof of there house to keep it charged. How many panels would i need, to get the fastest charge time?
Thank you for your review. Blessings in your days.
I have a ResMed AirCurve 10 CPAP machine. Will this Jackery support it ? Thanks
7:41. DAM, that's a BEAST statement right there. Who the f' knows that besides a Doc like HOBOTECH.
I have one. The 120 outlets really draw down the battery. And only 300 watts charging port is a disappointment.
Will it affect the Jackery if you power something out while charging?
You definitely know testing of the electronic products...I must have missed it somewhere..
but can I use my own SOLAR PANELS...You used Jackety with their adapters ...what must I do to hook up my own....
I've been having trouble with the PD port on my recently purchased 300...I'll leave it at that...
(Another awesome review, I've learned so much from this channel! ⚡⚡⚡)
Interesting! I like that little 300. I wonder if others are as well.
@@PercussionImprovisations ouch. That sucks. There's a video out there of a dude returning a 300 and jackery did right by him. You shouldn't have to but I wonder if you should tag them in a Twitter or Facebook post.
I have 200watt Rockpals solar panels. Will they work with the Jackery 1500?
