This is perfect for me. I just got mine yesterday. I'm a truck driver. I have the smart generator outside the ecoflow wave inside and now the delta 2. I plan on getting my mini fridge and microwave soon!
Well this convinced me to get one. Ive been eyeing the delta max for use in a garage with no power but couldn't stomach the $1800 all at once. I was able to stack your code with an amazon promotion which sealed the deal for me. Update after months of use: I have the delta 2 with the delta max extra battery being used in my garage. Overall I am extremely happy with my purchase. I added a shoulder strap to the delta 2 so I can carry both units at the same time. The delta 2 is capable of powering every load combination I have put on it without hesitation including: 8gal air compressor plus 300w of lights and fans Shop vac, orbital sander, and 300w of lights and fans 6" circular saw plus 300w of lights and fans The only thing I havent tried is my 110v welder which I feel confident it will power. Something I have not seen advertised anywhere is if you have the extra battery connected the unit will charge at up to 1500w. In my testing the unit is also capable of 2200-2300w for up to 30 seconds and 2000w for well over a minute. I am able to fit both the extra battery cable and a shorter ac charging cable in the compartment on the delta max extra battery. The fans are somewhat loud but really arent that bad, if the unit is in the next room charging I only hear it if I really listen for it and in my garage everything I hook up is much louder than the unit itself. I only have two minor complaints, one of which is when ac power is being fed in/out there is a very noticeable high pitched noise from the circuitry inside. It is not a big deal in my application but inside a house it could be rather annoying. The other complaint is that the cable to go between the delta 2 and extra battery is extremely stiff. Its not so bad when its warm out but if its cold at all the cable is horribly stiff to the point that it can be hard to plug into the units. The plugs also stick out really far from the side of the unit. It would be very nice to see a cable with 90 degree connectors on it and a more flexible jacket.
This guy’s the best. Tests performed were excellent, sensible, and consumer-focused! Results were clearly explained. He did Ecoflow a really good favor with his analysis.

I just purchased mine this morning! This will be my first Ecoflow product to. They had an Facebook community page and had an discount code. Only paid 899.10 plus taxes. Can’t wait ti try it out.
After building and using my DIY the last 5 years with a Battleborn 100amp hour battery I used your code and purchased with solar cables. Appreciate your channel Hobo 🎈
This is perfect for me! I plan to use this more for car camping, SHTF mobilization, and general power outage power supply for minor applications! The UPS functionality doesn’t apply to me since my job bought me 2 Tripp Lite APC UPS’s during my short stint working from home during Covid!
Thorough review - thanks for putting this together. I just picked this up today and it comes with the backup battery. I don't live off grid daily, but when power goes out it should have what I need to run a tv, Mac, and fridge, lights overnight so I can turn off the RV gennie outside. They say to long press the power to turn on/off, but oddly, neither master/slave turns on/off - just sleeps. Need to re-read the manual! You earned a sub and thumbs up from me.
I was all set to buy one on opening day(the 16th) but I was sick... finally starting to feel better and I find your review before I buy a delta 2... Not buying one now based on the UPS mode fail.
I bought the delta 2 and some of the tests that failed were actually improved during the final release. One being the ups is a lot faster in the final release
Note that the solar/car charge plug on the Delta 2 is not xt60 (2-pin) but xt60i (3-pin). To deal with the 15A car charge problem, they make use of the 3rd pin, even though there are only 2 wires. For the car charger, the 3rd pin is connected to + (flat side of the xt60i), and that is max at 8A input (according to the app). For solar, that 3rd pin is instead connected to the - (rounded side of the xt60i). And that allows for the max. 15A for solar charging. So if you are going to DIY a solar charging cable, make sure you get a xt60i female connector, and make a solder jump to the - terminal inside.
I just received my Delta 2 and ran a few tests to check the UPS function. I attached 3 different computers (not all at once): an old Dell Inspiron laptop without the battery, Desktop computer & Raspberry Pi 4B. I had a lamp attached to see how fast the switching was. There was a visible flicker on the lamp but it was very fast. None of the computers or monitors hiccuped at all. Its like the power wasn’t cut. Also, the oscilloscope does flicker some.
For emergency use this has pretty good specs for the money. If you want more of a daily use off grid situation I’d opt for at least 2k inverter 900w solar input and 2 kw battery. As always thanks for the excellent review
i have one with the second battery its very hard to beat $ wise considering battery capacity and type and inverter size. the UPS function i could not care less about. like others said just get a actual UPS... the only thing id like is the ability to add more then 1 extra battery or the ability to add a different batteries via some sort of adapter
Got this combo (Delta 2 + extra smart battery) for $899 brand new on their website after a $200 ecoflow rewards coupon. Feel like the combo made sense at that price. Great review and info.
And thank you for the informative review. I actually bought a Delta 2 today and had the same questions, the most relevant being which was which input gets priority when you charge via solar or AC. In South Africa, with our power problems we would actually prefer to have a choice. But I’m hoping they ‘EcoFlow’ have considered it. Will find out this weekend when it’s delivered but I’m hoping it can let you prioritise solar and then AC. Otherwise I’ll have to write to them. Thanks though! Keep up the great work!
13:28, "So this is not a really good sign", or is it "sine" LOL! Would love to also see "round trip" testing. On the two EcoFlow 1300's I bought on crowd funding, one was 59%, and the other 58%. Pitiful! I bought the 2nd one because mid-campaign they announced that the units could be chained to boost the capacity. However, if you have to put 1278 watts in to only get 741 out, and then "boost" with a 2nd unit, you lose another ~20% of that 741 watts, for a dismal
Great review. Currently saw this unit on Amazon plus 2 100 watt solar panels. thinking about getting this set up for emergency use at home. I cannot beat the price for the performance.
Please do an update video on the Delta 2 , the firmware flawlessly fixes the UPS switching! Even overrides a 200 watt AC charge limit to match the draw of a space heater. Very impressed and the new lab feature allow automations that enable you set your charging cycles so for example charge from AC at night when it’s free if you have a solar grid system.
I was just thinking I would just get another unit than buy their add on battery. Right now I'm looking for a backup for my wifi and fridge if power goes out. Though I do think I'll end up with Ecoflow I'm just trying to determine capacity. I may start with a smaller one to start and add on units later as needed. My main issue is just making sure I can finish my work on a timeley schedule.
I understand the shortcomings, with trying to keep pricing down. But offering battery expansion then limiting it to one battery seems like an intentional shot in the foot. Having the 1800w inverter and expansion to 4-5kw would probably turn more heads.
Do you think it would be possible to run from the DC output (cigarette style) to the terminals of a deep cycle 12v battery to charge the deep cycle battery? Thinking of using this to re-charge house batteries.
the problem with all these companies is they don't let someone like yourself give input and develop the best all in one generator out there. They would save themselves so much headache if they allowed you to be a part of their engineering process so we can get a generator that solves all of our needs. Not sure what ecoflow was thinking but I am holding out for that perfect generator that is decent cost, has all the bells and whistles and can be used for anything and everything. Am I dreaming perhaps, but I will wait til lit happens
I'm not "all in" on a company yet, but it does seem like Bluetti is listening to their consumers/reviewers...I'm still looking around, but the scales are tipping toward Bluetti for me, but, I'm still looking. The other option is DIY builds, but I don't have that confidence yet.
It's a bit disappointing that EcoFlow seems to have cut corners on this. The main reason that stopped me from buying an Ecoflow Delta previously was the fact that they didn't use LiFePO4 batteries, so I was very excited to hear about this. But the low efficiency and the terrible UPS function is a huge letdown. I hope a firmware update takes care of those issues because otherwise this would be a fantastic product.
I replaced my APC UPS to Delta Mini and has been great but hearing that the D2 has more switching delay than the Mini seem another reason not to get it. That's a bummer.
@@fongsa1yuk it's the same delay. You have to keep in mind the load... he's using a 1,200+W heater, which is the worse case scenario. Another thing to keep in mind is the load of your computer... Are you just doing light browsing when the power goes out? Then your power supplies' capacitors should have no trouble bailing you out. But if you're running a heavy load (like an AAA game on your high end video card) then there's a good chance you'll run out of capacitance, and the computer could shut down, or glitch out.
@@regularpit1508 The slow relay ruins the UPS functionality. Dealbreaker IMO. Won't buy until addressed and fixed. Too bad. I'm in the market for something in this size.
@@saintkamus14 The delay of Delta 2 is almost 2 seconds. This is not even close to what the Delta Mini nor even the cheap Bluetti EB3A can do. Other other ones tested were never this bad even at the same load.
Buying two Delta2’s won’t give you 2 x 1000Wh (or rater 2 x 800Wh) - unless you have an extra unit to join them - have a feeling that the sinus waves have to be in phase before you put them in parallel.. So I see the idea about the cheap battery, And I can easily add a charger on an extension cord if I need more chargers. I hope to pick one up tomorrow for a semi-permanent back-up for our refrigerator- but real role will be to charge at cheap rates between 02:00 and 04:00 at night and run air fryer, toaster, other power hungry appliances at ‘rush hour’ where KWh prices are 2-4 times as much as at 02:00
Another great review! I was VERY disappointed with the UPS test results. 😵💫 My plan for the Delta 2 was for a UPS backup system for my Starlink internet and 2 computers. The Delta 2 is just not gonna work for us.
My go to channel for solar chargers/battery packs! I have the Ecoflow River Pro & extra battery, and their 160 watt panel. I love it! My next purchase will be one of the Delta biggies, not sure which though.
Can you do a review on the Anker 757 power station, I've watched dozens of other reviews on the 757 and they are all trash, I guess if you are receiving a product free of charge you don't want to say anything negative.
I've got a smaller Anker (somewhat confusing product range, and some different products seem to have the same number, it's 262-ish wh with a 300w inverter. There's a "plus" version with something like 250wh and a 350w inverter, and it's a bit bluer). It's robustly built and has a nice diffuse light on the back. Only has an 8mm / USB-C bidirectional port for charging, though. The next model up with a 500w inverter has an Anderson port. So I imagine their top model will be decently put together as well. Also Anker's Solarsaga60 panel is absolute crap. I bought a cheapo LVYuan 120w suitcase that charges it better than Anker's own panel. Also the LVYuan outputs from it's (hard-wired, another plus) 8mm and USB-C at the same time, so you can plug both into the Anker at once for combined charging, theoretically up to the full 120 (though apparently the LVYuan USB-C only puts out 40w), but the most I've ever got is 55w, but my panel is very badly-placed and pretty much never gets full sun on all of it at once.
Would be nice to see a preview of the Anker 767 too. The 757 has been out a while now and there are several favorable reviews on it. The main negative I see on that is the limited solar input of 300W. It would be hard hitting that as the input is limited to 30V and 10A. I know of no single 300W portable panel that would work (the Dokio one is 18V at 15A or thereabouts.) Panels in series would not work as most are 18V+ and there are few 30V 3.3A panels for parallel connections. In fact I think Anker’s own (pricey) 100W panels might be the only ones. This Delta 2 has a similarly disappointing solar input at 500W considering it has an 1800W inverter and up to 3KWh capacity. The Delta 2 efficiency is also low considering Ecoflow’s track record. The Anker 767 uses GaN power switching so it would be interesting to see what efficiency it has.
Hmmm, good information about the spare battery. If it were considerably cheaper than the primary unit, I could see pulling the trigger. But with an amazon coupon along with the hobotech code, i just got the main unit for 679 out the door.
This looks like an interesting model. Decent inverter specs, smaller battery but option to expand. It is weak as a UPS but I will be honest, I haven't needed that. I have an actual UPS for devices that need a UPS.
Just got this for $949 with the discount code. Included 110w Solar panel (msrp: $299) , 800w Alternator charger (msrp: $599) and the Delta 2 ( on Sale: $629) Great price!
I'm wanting to run a 24v DC portable Enjoy Cool air conditioner. Is there voltage on the side port? Is there a way to hack the 24v side port on the Delta 2 to work as an output for my non ecoflow wave AC?
I bought a delta 2 a month ago and was considering using it as a ups. After watching the video, I was curious if the ups function had improved with the latest firmware update. I updated the delta 2 to the latest firmware via the app ( V1.0.1.134) . To test the cutover, I used an old dell laptop (latitude e6530 with nvdia gpu) which has an external removable battery. Laptop uses about 30w-40w while running. I plugged and unplugged the ac power to the delta 2 multiple times (with the laptop battery removed). The laptop continued playing the video I was testing with no drops or flickers. Also ran a cpu stress test using CPu-z and re-ran the ac cutover. Laptop ran with no issues while on the delta 2. Bluetti180 and 200l were the other two I was considering. Also purchased the delta 2 max and expansion battery (qvc had a great sale for the expansion battery at $799 a few week ago). Hobotech just wanted to thank you for your detailed videos. I watched several of them before jumping into purchasing.
awesome video. I am torn between this one and the Anker 757. I do not care too much about the expandable battery option. what you recommend between these two?
I currently have the 757 and I'm ready to return it. I'm debating on picking up this model if I can find out a few more details. Right now I use my 757 to power my 12 volt refrigerator. It's in my car running most of the time. A drawback that I have with the 757 is it I have inconsistent sun, the solar charge controller cycles on and off over and over. If it does it enough it actually shuts off at the 12 volt car socket turning my refrigerator off. I reached out to Anker and they said this is normal for the unit. Highly unacceptable for me however they did offer me a full refund.
Hi Mr hobo. I was wondering if you could answer a question for me? I have the eco flow delta max and I was wondering if I could use a dokio 300w 18v Solare panel to solar charge it? That would be 300w and at 18v That would put me at 16A. And the ecoflow delta can handle up to 10a. So would that fry my power station or is there some built-in protection that will not let it take more than 10 amps? Is it safe to use these panel on my station? If it is safe could I hook up two of them for faster charging?
A couple more weeks until the Vigorpool arrives at my doorstep. While that is a very small company compared to the Ecoflow, I suspect it will quickly find the footing it needs. The biggest downside to it over this is a small inverter. But it has a lot of the same Pros and more. It's quieter and if you need more output capacity they said, hey they probably want a bigger battery too. So I really like the idea that it scales.
Good review 👍 was very tempted to purchase this but at £1099 here in the UK without any discounts available I'll wait until it goes on sale or just go for the Bluetti range. Lack of inputs on the additional battery packs really sucks!!!
Completely agree. I'm also looking for a mid-range as I already have Bluetti EB240 and am not paying the UK price for this. If no discounts arrive soon I might stick with Bluetti too.
Does the Delta Pro battery work with the Delta 2 using the adapter? Does it charge from the EcoFlow Generator as well? Does the extra battery charge from the generator and Delta Pro Extra Battery as well? I agree with your beef about the Delta Pro Extra Battery and Delta 2 extra battery having to charge from the main device.
You can charge the add on battery through the wave 2. Plug the add on battery into the port on the wave 2 and plug it into the wall or use the solar charging port and it will charge through to the extra battery, I know cause I've done it.
Got mine on Prime day for $411. Mine is purely for emergencies so instead of the Ecoflow extra battery, I got a Siekon 100Ah (1260Wh) battery with a cheap DC to DC step up converter and XT60i (has to be an "i" NOT a XT60) connector to be able to connect it through the solar input at over 400w. That's much higher than my draw would be in a power outage, so that'll keep my power station topped off. I already have a 25A charger for the battery so all together the extra battery cost me less than $280 and is easily expandable for cheap
If the take these small Generators have a 100 watt usb c port and pass-though changing good for computer! Think of the new markets in home computer power backup market!
When you measured 65db, was that at 1meter from the unit? Looks a lot closer in the video. I measured 55db @ 1m which is loud but if you were closer, it’s hard to compare sound levels since if falls off quickly over distances. A lot of people are canceling their D2 orders because of the 65db number, just want to be clear on the methodology used here
@@HOBOTECH awesome work on all these videos, always so much good data packed into each. I liked the D2 but the fan noise and lack of ports on the extra battery are definite downsides. Still my favorite at the 1kw size for sure but nothing is perfect
@@HOBOTECH Would you recommend this unit over the Jackery 1000 Pro? Saw your review on that, too... your lack of bias makes it tough to tell which you think is better! I was leaning towards this unit for our cargo trailer camper, but the noise factor has me reconsidering the Jackery 1000 Pro.
@@HOBOTECH I guess the next question would be whether one could hook the battery up to the input and the output of the unit at the same time. So the unit is charging the battery, or being charged by the battery depending on the load.
I'm confused. I bought an Ecoflow Delta 2 and I wanted to test out how long I can do things like run my fridge to see how long it will run and it says it is outputing 580w and it can run that at 28 minutes. does that sound right? Of course I know nothing about watts/amps ect
I would like to know if there is only 150w (below 200w for sure) being drawn from AC output, would any fan of this delta-2 turn on? And, I learn that the AC-charging input can be lowered to 200w,300w... for example, through phone-app. Is it always beneficial to make use of lower-power charging? (say, even 700w, 500w, instead of 1200w.... beneficial to the health of the batteries over time)
Hobotech I just purchased a ecoflow 700 pro for my van. I have a 200 watt renogy solar panel on the roof and was just told by ecoflow that it is not compatible with my solar panel. I could find no warning of this when I shelled out almost $600.00 for product. I now must purchase another solar generator. The one I have cannot even be used as a backup because it is not compatible with my solar panel. People need to know this when buying ecoflow products.
Pretty sure I have the same laptop. 2005 Dell Inspiron. It was a great machine. I've got a MacBook now because the customer service was better. But this puppy is 8 or 9 yrs old. Don't know what I'll get next. Suggestions?
Thank you for the great review. What about fans noise at e.g. 100 W or 200 W load (e.g. working in small quite office on computer)? How loud is it at small loads? Or when I would be charging it at the camping site with 500W solar - how loud is Delta 2 when charging at 500W? Would it be disturbing for campsites around? Thank you.
I have the Ecoflow Delta 1300 and its a great power source. The only thing that I do not like after owning it for a while is the location of all the ports. USB on front with display. 12volt and 110 on the rear. And charging on the side. All that makes it sort of a PITA to use in small spaces. If I ever get another battery generator, it will be a bluetti or Jackery.
Great video! I have a suggestion for a future tests. For solar applications it's crucial to have a good round-trip efficiency in addition to a good inverter and dc circuitry efficiency. Could you also measure the total input energy in kWh needed to charge a solar generator fully? Putting a power meter between the solar array and the MPPT controller input would help in sizing the array. And while you're at it, why not measure the input energy while charging from AC with the Kill a watt you use for inverter output efficiency tests?
I have one shot to get a generator for my home/future Van build and I'm so confused. I don't which Eco to get or the Bluetti AC200MAX. Im completely lost with all the different options. Begging for help!
Honestly longevity is not really a big deal since technology evolves so quickly that today's portable power systems will be well surpassed in performance long before their "life" ends. I am excited to see what's comes out in the years ahead.
It is for doomsday preppers, who are one of the groups of folks buying these. It would just be unfortunate if every manufacturer went to these types of cells, it's nice for different types of consumers to choose what best suits their intended use.
Them doomsday preppers…. They obviously have all the answers, so where is their perfect product? Produce them! - they want the highest standards, and know what they need, no this not dissing on them, seriously, they need to put their money together and produce the finest end all (no pun) power supplies etc… and then make tons of money…as for this set up, I am good with it, hopefully the D2v2 will be better. (And I am serious some DDPrepper needs to start a fund me page with their designs!
Great review on the D2. Thanks for being so thorough. The slow UPS switching is disappointing but it could be fine for applications that don't freak out if power dips for a second. I'll have to think on it a little to see if it is a good fit. Love the Joe Sparks Devil Doll in the back!
I’m trying to think of a reason to buy one of these. I have a 13k backup generator so I think this would just sit in my closet maybe when the price comes down.
I'm still glad I ordered the Jackery 1000 Pro. It has a Lot of good features and is quiet. My Jackery 500 has served me well so why change solar generators in mid stream.
The slow EPS feature is a little too bad, but it's really not that big of a deal. If you really need fast switching, you could always couple it with a real UPS, even a cheap one, and it would be more than enough to fill in the gap.
Good review, EXCEPT... Ecoflow states in all their manuals that these units(ALL of them) are NOT UPS's. They are EPS's, which means that they will switch over to battery power- with a delay of about 30ms; what I will do is put an actual REAL UPS between the computer and the generator. That way you get the best of both worlds; pass-through power with the generator, lots of backup power for the computer, and instantaneous switching for your computer. Bulletproof. Keep up the good work!
You can actually charge a smart extra battery thru the Ecoflow Wave. I have a Ecoflow Delta Max Smart Extra battery and I charge my battery with my Wave. Charging the smart extra battery with the Wave works pretty much the same way as the add-on battery for the wave. It will generally charge the smart extra battery at about 600 watts with the Wave plugged into AC. Downside is that it does take a bit longer to charge since you are charging at a lower rate then using a power station. I found it take about three hours to charge the Delta Max Smart extra battery from zero to 100%.
Thank-you for this video. How long will the battery inside "live"? If a unit is perfectly handled, minimally used, and stored will it be viable for years and years? Basically, is it a "one time purchase". TY
I was going to buy the delta 2 but now I am not sure. I just contacted them and they said you have to use the phone app to change settings on the power bank. Some of us are trying to prep for a grid down situation where there was an emp or solar flare. So my question is...if you can't use the app to change the settings is the delta 2 still worth it? Can you plug it in and not worry about changing settings or are there absolutely reasons you would for sure need the app? I am not tech savvy and this is hard to figure out what I need.
@HOBOTECH thank you for answering! I was wondering if once it is set up, whether you really change the settings or need to. But I guess if you really don't need to change the settings, then it is not too bad.

6" circular saw plus 300w of lights and fans
The only thing I havent tried is my 110v welder which I feel confident it will power.
Hobo, is the best reviewer here on You Tube. For the areas Hobo tests, no one comes close. His partner and Amazon commerce system are excellent. His sites cover all the pieces and parts needed for mobile self sustaining world. Excellent choices of quality products. His “special codes” with providers seem to be the highest out there. Good negotiation by Hobo.. Sure, he makes a cut on some of these pages, so what? He is the go to for mobile sustainable products, power delivery, and power generation.
I just purchased mine this morning! This will be my first Ecoflow product to. They had an Facebook community page and had an discount code. Only paid 899.10 plus taxes. Can’t wait ti try it out.
Don's suppose you'd like to share that code here with the fellow hobos?
@@unknownquantity4440 No... that takes Hobo out of the loop !!
@@unknownquantity4440 it was only for 300 units
Thanks! Can you do an update on the delta 2?
Thank you. Update for?
One being the ups is a lot faster in the final release
may i ask what other tests improved?
@@cadefoster9279Everything. This is a beta test unit he was supplied, don’t trust this review.
does it really work as a PC UPS in the final release?
Yes it will work as a PC ups
Should have read the comments first. Glad to hear it. Makes much more sense now.
Just got the Delta 2 and battery for about $900 today! Thanks for the great reviews!
Watched your review and bought the Delta2 with your coupon. Thank You!
I used your code yesterday to get a discount on top of the Amazon prime price and it really made a huge difference thank you so much
I applaud your courage to build a TH-cam channel. You do a great job in this review and I wish you much success.
I agree ! The man sold his house, left his 9 to 5 job and hit the road. Definitely takes courage to leave stability for the unknown.
@@allenh7835And now he’s a huge multi millionaire, this guy is a genius.
I agree. I use my DIY systems for heavier duty (3000w, 2000w inverters) and these types for fridges, freezers, lights, charging devices.
Energy storage is expressed in kilowatt hours not kilowatts! I wish people would get their unit straight!
I agree that it was a really long wait for an update but Ecoflow does really know how to make a pretty awesome produce even better.
Awesome !
I have a similar set up here in NC and live off grid In my RV
It is so nice not having that power bill each month
Good job Richard
Dude, this is the only way to live - anybody that lives in any other way than you live, is a bumbling idiot.
The 80 minute full charge of that Delta 2 is absolutely out of this world.
I love the “Double Fisted 👊 👊” Capacity Test! Always a Great Test 😉
i have one with the second battery its very hard to beat $ wise considering battery capacity and type and inverter size. the UPS function i could not care less about.
like others said just get a actual UPS...
the only thing id like is the ability to add more then 1 extra battery or the ability to add a different batteries via some sort of adapter
FYI I do like the computer 💻 UPS test more than the heater. Thanks again for your work!
Got this combo (Delta 2 + extra smart battery) for $899 brand new on their website after a $200 ecoflow rewards coupon. Feel like the combo made sense at that price. Great review and info.
Thanks
The fact that Ecoflow did use long life LFP batteries in the Delta 2 makes the more than 10 year usable life a reality.
I like what Ecoflow did to the Delta 2, Now I can plug in 15 gadgets all at the same time.
Thanks for the review and the discount code. Always appreciate your thorough reviews.
When I saw that old Dell Inspiron laptop I instantly knew what you were going to do. Loved that test!!
Not fot UPS use, but for everything else, especially for the camping this is the best buy.
Can you pair 2x delta II's together, instead of the extra battery?
Got me a Delta 2 and so happy I did!
great review, so glad I waited for prime day to score the delta 2 with the only bifacial panels saving $650!
I was wondering what that dinosaur laptop was doing there. Best reviews on the internets there Hobo...
Do you think it would be possible to run from the DC output (cigarette style) to the terminals of a deep cycle 12v battery to charge the deep cycle battery? Thinking of using this to re-charge house batteries.
Sogens are not battery chargers.
the problem with all these companies is they don't let someone like yourself give input and develop the best all in one generator out there.
@@useupwearout5029 . Most of bluetit line charge low from AC. Max on 500w on their 2kw. That's too slow for me.
Agreed the UPS feature is a huge selling point to me and definitely Lifepo4 over there NMC they usually use.
My plan for the Delta 2 was for a UPS backup system for my Starlink internet and 2 computers.
Can you connect two Delta 2 units instead of extra battery? Will the same connector cable work?
I have the eco flow delta max and I was wondering if I could use a dokio 300w 18v
Solare panel to solar charge it?
That would be 300w and at 18v That would put me at 16A.
And the ecoflow delta can handle up to 10a.
So would that fry my power station or is there some built-in protection that will not let it take more than 10 amps?
Is it safe to use these panel on my station?
If it is safe could I hook up two of them for faster charging?
No
A couple more weeks until the Vigorpool arrives at my doorstep.
I ordered 2 Captain 1200's. Awaiting delivery.
Can you recommend a good way to learn (book, video) about electricity, amps, volts, watts, ac, DC, etc.
What should I buy now? River 2 pro or delta 2?
Does the Delta Pro battery work with the Delta 2 using the adapter? Does it charge from the EcoFlow Generator as well? Does the extra battery charge from the generator and Delta Pro Extra Battery as well? I agree with your beef about the Delta Pro Extra Battery and Delta 2 extra battery having to charge from the main device.
You can charge the add on battery through the wave 2. Plug the add on battery into the port on the wave 2 and plug it into the wall or use the solar charging port and it will charge through to the extra battery, I know cause I've done it.
We all know. This video came out long before the Wave 2...
I love these REAL and DETAILED reviews! Delta 2 is a hard pass for me.
Which one would you get? I was thinking between this or the Jackery 1000 Pro!
I agree, junk.
If the take these small Generators have a 100 watt usb c port and pass-though changing good for computer! Think of the new markets in home computer power backup market!
It was full buy for me and i bought the extra 2,000 kwh battery so now I have over 3,000 kwh
News is not news it’s advertising
When you measured 65db, was that at 1meter from the unit? Looks a lot closer in the video. I measured 55db @ 1m which is loud but if you were closer, it’s hard to compare sound levels since if falls off quickly over distances. A lot of people are canceling their D2 orders because of the 65db number, just want to be clear on the methodology used here
All my sound testing is done at 1m.
@@HOBOTECH great, thanks for confirming!
@@HOBOTECH awesome work on all these videos, always so much good data packed into each. I liked the D2 but the fan noise and lack of ports on the extra battery are definite downsides. Still my favorite at the 1kw size for sure but nothing is perfect
I still think it's a great product for the size and cost even if it's loud. It's a trademark of Ecoflow because they charge so fast.
The UPS feature of the Delta 2 is more than enough reason for me to grab one.
Is it safe to store these batteries at 100% charge? Or are these best stored at around 80%, similar to EV batteries?
If you simply want to add additional capacity, can you attach a standard 12 V lithium iron phosphate battery to it?
I had the same thought. Waiting for an answer....
Yes
@@HOBOTECH Thank you! Thinking of getting the EB3A as it seems to have what I need for now. Can add a battery later if I need it.
Yes
With the app, you can slow it down, and make the fans quiet.
Is that an Inspiron 6000 or 9400? I had a 9400 way back and loved it. Just happened to see yours and it brought back memories.
I was wondering why EcoFlow marketed it as EPS instead of UPS…now I know 👍🏼
How would you compare this to the vigorpool captain 1200?
I bought the River Pro and I was surprised how well the X boost feature works. It powers my gaming pc with a problem.
Hobotech the best of the best👌
I have one shot to get a generator for my home/future Van build and I'm so confused. I don't which Eco to get or the Bluetti AC200MAX. Im completely lost with all the different options. Begging for help!
I know it's a year later, but what did you decide to get?
I'm trying to decide between this and the Bluetti AC180.
Bought Delta Max, Loving it! ❤
I would agree to an extent. Longevity is perceived as more important on the higher priced units.
I love your laptop test! love it.
Hello Sir, Would you know if the DELTA 2 have updated it's firmware so that the EPS switch over keeps the appliance or computer on?
The EcoFlow Delta 2 is Awesome !
Can you disable Bluetooth on the ACTUAL POWER STATION (not on your phone)
The slow EPS feature is a little too bad, but it's really not that big of a deal. If you really need fast switching, you could always couple it with a real UPS, even a cheap one, and it would be more than enough to fill in the gap.
It’s a huge deal for routers, switches, and home servers.
@@silverbackag9790And you’re using this for that purpose why? 😂
which solar panels do you use with it? thank you.
What does that mean in terms of what I would have to buy and what it would cost! This is way over my head! Thanks
I don't understand why all power stations don't offer bidirectional USB C ports. Especially considering USB C is capable of 240 watts.

Change your settings to suit your needs then delete the app. App is not necessary to use the product.
@HOBOTECH thank you for answering! I was wondering if once it is set up, whether you really change the settings or need to. But I guess if you really don't need to change the settings, then it is not too bad.
Professor you rock! Question: does this model allow pass thru charging so I can charge with solar while powering devices at the same time? thx :)
I did mention it has that.
Sorry i missed that :( i’m also really hoping u can test the Pecron E2000 Lifepo4 with 1200 w solar! :)
