What is your take on intensive reading? Do you have any tips on how to do it, to get the most out of it? Thank you very much for watching and see you the next time 🤗!
Aslam o alaekom i wanted to ask which language do you think i should learn on language transfer For context i speak urdu, Punjabi, English(i wouldn't say i am fluent), i am learning classical arabic right now and i want to start learning another one
Phew, that's a very personal decision, so it's hard to tell. I think what's most important is that it's in some way useful and motivating for you. Useful can also mean that it's just fun. You already got some very cool languages under your belt and I think if you are studying Arabic right now that might be enough. Because Arabic will require lots of time to get good and besides classical Arabic, you will want to learn also a dialect at some point to be able to read and listen to contemporary stuff. And the differences are quite big, from what I've heard.
How did you study/get into the IT field ? Here in USA certifications(CompTIA)are a very efficient and maybe better than degree. Enjoying your videos btw
After "highschool" I went to a technical college to get qualified as an information technology assistant, and then I've done a dual apprenticeship as an IT specialist for system integration. After that, I worked full time as a sysadmin and did on the side my bachelor of science and economics in business information systems. After that I wanted to move more into a management direction, but still within IT, and started as a junior-project manager at the headquarters of Aldi Nord. Now I'm a Senior PM in a different company for 5 years now. So I steered pretty early towards IT. And of course I'm still learning new things all the time and doing certifications etc. to stay relevant, since the IT-space is changing and evolving all the time. I hope that it helped :). If you have any other questions, just let me know.
@@DustinSchermaul thank you for explaining! I went in and out of different careers/studies after high school. I have a couple of certifications now in IT and am also learning another language and still trying to figure things out career wise lol. Thanks again !
@@beefwellington3180 you're welcome! There is definitely quite some opportunity within the IT-Sector and once you got a foot in the door it only gets better.
Hey Dustin, I really enjoy your videos. I am an English speaker learning Italian primarily from TH-cam channels. My favorite is Passione Italiana, I really like Marta because she speaks slowly and is easy to understand. Thank you for your recommendation to use Language Transfer I'm finding it very useful also!
@@DustinSchermaul Yeah not a lot of Russian to talk too plus I have to speak to my Russian friends at a certain time on the week ends because of time zones and the only type of people who are into languages are productive, so no one staying up late from Russia will want to talk to me after 11am-12am in my time zone lol

Hey Marty :), thank you very much for your positive feedback! Oh, I haven't looked into that channel so far, but will take a look! Thanks!
you should make a video on that new teacher AI made by Xiaomanyc
Nice, thanks for that idea! Will have a look!
My reading comprehension for Russian is probably the highest out of everything probably because I'm not physically in Russia
Ah you mean, because this forces you to do even more reading?
