Hi Dustin, great video! I love extensive reading and do about 1 hour to 90 minutes each day. I've already read the first five harry potter books in french and am currently reading Dune (my favourite book in English) trying to finish it before the new movie comes out has been this month's challenge. A great quote from Steven krashen that I always think of is "When the words and the language melt away and it's just you and the story, that's when language acquisition occurs". Keep up the great content and have a lovely week
Hey Sean! Thanks, always nice to read from you :). Wow, 1 hr to 90 minutes should be definitely enough to get some serious immersion going! Man, I'm ashamed to say that, but I have never read Dune… It's supposed to be soooo good. How do you like the French translation compared to the English one? Love the quote! That's what it's about. Have a great week!
Hey Timothy, so you mean with the same kind of difficulty, or once you've finished the mini stories? The Super Easy Language episodes from TH-cam you can import and maybe even the regular episodes, if they are available for your language.

Same for me with reading/listening to the lingq stories. It was hard to let go of this but once I did i flew through the stories and it became much more enjoyable.
Yes it can be hard and everybody is a bit different… When we let go of perfection and just try to immerse into the story, learning becomes so much more fun.
If you don't like Harry Potter then this is definitely a no-go resource for you ;). As said, language learning is very individual, and you should only choose content that is interesting for you!
What do you think? Is extensive reader also an integral part of your learning routine? Thank you very much for watching!

I've always really struggled with not looking up words I don't know. It has made reading not fun and therefore I don't do it often enough
