Perhaps the best cover of a Rammstein song.
I am very picky when it gets to cover versions, especially from bands that I love, but this one is simply awesome
I always say this is a song written by Rammstein but Nina Hagen owns it. One of the very very very few examples when I prefer the cover over the original (and the original was awesome already). Another example is Unchained Melodie. Might be a song by Elvis (and he performed it great) but the Righteous Brothers killed it.

Nina, Hagen pure meltdown
"She scares me"! Many have said so. Nina is an icon, opera trained originally with a 4 octave minimum voice. Exceptionally talented and original. Apocalyptica are a Finnish symphonic metal band. They play cellos and have a drummer and have worked with people like Corey Taylor, Adam Gontier, Till Lindemann. It's a great cover that Nina has put here own stamp on.
That is why I like also this cover. She did not try to copy it, she did it in "her style". And yes, she is an icon and I always liked her too, not every song of her, but that is normal I think. Although I still like the original a bit more, because Till puts so much feelings in it, but this is only my opinion of course. Have a nice evening.
Nina became the godmother of German punk in the late 1970s, so make your maths: she is about 60 in this video and challenged her system all the time. With this in mind, we all should admire her for her grand voice and stunning appearance in this song.

if there is one woman on this planet who comes closest to Harley Quinn, then it is her. I've never seen Nina as a normal person. This woman is extraordinary. I think every normal mortal would be sent to a insane asylum. This woman is just weird. Apart from that, she is an exceptional singer. If there is one woman who comes closest to the myth of the glass shattering, this is her. This woman can nearly go the full scale from low to high where it hurts in the ears.

There are 3 covers that are better than the original (of course only as far as I've ever heard them) one of them is that. The other 2 are of course by disturbed and the best cover "band" is leo moracchioli. His cover of ac / dc "Thunderstruck" beats everything
These FINNish guys don't use guitars and keyboard - just distored cellos and drums!🎻🎻🎻
And I think Tim Burton would be a fan of frau Hagen.😅 She is great, she's a trained opera singer, the GERMAN Punk Queen (and she's 67 years old)!

Nah, no need to compare, this version is miles above rammstein's. One of the rare cases where a cover is so much better than the original (another one is all along the watch tower by the jimi hendrix experience being millions miles above Dylan's )
