Listening to you back out of the garage was very informative. I definitely want all the chop out of my tune before the blowder goes on because that blower whine fluttering would drive me nuts.
I would definitely put that in the “pro’s” category! I Agree sounds good! We made an exhaust for the car a bunch of videos back when we stepped everything up to 3” and I went with an X pipe. I am debating making a section that I can easily swap out so I can switch between X pipe and H pipe. my first GTO had an H and it sounded pretty good, almost sounded deeper 🤔 THANK’S FOR THE SUPPORT 🤟🤟👍👍👍👍
@@bought2build if you can setting up an X pipe closest to the headers while creating a full equal length exhaust will get it to sound just like a corvette if you wanted to go that route!
After just watching the first 1 minute into the video I'm going to say NO you don't like the supercharger and regret going with that option why I say that so fast into the video - it's the belts squeaking of the belts that annoys you and get it to stop.
Belt squeaking? The belt doesn’t squeak that is the procharger itself that’s just how they sound especially with straight cut gears and with a cam when the rpm is bouncing around a little, some louder than others depending how fast the blower is spinning at idle 🤟🤟🤟👍👍👍👍👍
I'd like to go procharger cause of the aggresive sounds especially with a red valve but im afraid ill get bored of it since the power is linear. I hear it wont throw you back it's more like if it just continues to pull. Thinking of getting a D1x kit but thats like 10k. Or I could go with a Magnuson 2650 for around 8k. Im going back and forth lol.
Man I’m dealing with the same thing trying to decide. I’m building a truck (AWD) and stuck between a Procharger and 2650. Either you want it off the line ( 2650) or TOP SIDE (Procharger) but idk what I want
So there are many ways to go about it I have a whipple car and a procharger car personally I like the procharger setup better I can always step up to the next size blower and keep everything els the same the power does come in linear but it still throws you back in the seat this setup made just as much tq as it did HP or close to it but having the procharger curve actually helps a lot of times because my whipple car traction isn’t a thing a hooked up procharged car will put 60 foot a spinning whipple or Maggie car any day plus in my opinion the procharger sounds way cooler! Lol Also if budget is on your mind check out torquestorm I have been seeing some cool stuff from them lately If off the line power is your concern you can always pulley down or spray it with a super small shot off the line if needed Also depends if you are going to foot brake or have a trans brake Good luck and thanks for the support 🤟🤟🤟🤟👍👍👍
@@traifields846the in between option you are looking for is like a d1sc series procharger. I put one on my truck and at 3k rpms it makes like 4lbs of boost. Yes its linear but also can blow tires off at highway speeds. Youd think a twin screw would be a little more aggressive lower on but a friend of mine has an almost identical truck with a whipple, similar cams etc and we have very similar dyno graphs. He makes his peak torq a hair earlier but he went down 2 pulley sizes and had to go to e40 to match the same rwhp i was at with the d1sc. Its very streetable, but isnt gonna spin the tires by accident under like 3k rpms. If you run a big stall anyways its a no brainer. On stock stall the twin screw probably feels better
has boost as soon as you floor it! even off idle and continues to rise with rpm like a centrifugal blower should! thanks for checking out the channel! 👍 👍 👍 🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟 sorry I didn't get a notification with your comment
Check out the dyno video I did with it! it will handle some decent power it is all in the tune or tuner that you use! You’ll see in the video made some good power and we will be shooting for a good amount more here soon! 🤟🤟🤟👍👍👍👍👍👍
@ they have a ton of different options all depends what you want you will need a NRG quick disconnect hub and then can pick any steering wheel with that bolt pattern idk what color and finish and everything you want 👍🤟🤟🤟🤟
Like you said heat for sure is a big one also just the power curve in general is much different between the 2 I also personally like that with the procharger I can step up the blower size easily just by changing head units I am sure there are more pros and cons between the 2 but the centrifugal blowers sound pretty awesome too!
What makes you say that? In your opinion what makes it not a daily? To me car is 100% able to be a daily if you wanted it to be it is on pump gas and just set it up for flex fuel has heat and setup for AC everything works and it drives great I’ve driven it a ton! Only thing holding it back from actual daily driving is the rear tire in this video not great for rain but I have a different set on it at the moment thanks for checking out the video I appreciate it! 🤟🤟🤟🤟👍👍👍👍👍👍
