And I honestly haven’t decided yet I have heard that with a block guard you should bring it to the machine shop and have them do it and I would rather not but epoxy isn’t a bad idea! This is my first D16 build so I am open to opinions! What would you do?

@@bought2build well if I were to do a D16 and wanted power to have fun I would do epoxy, decompression plate or if the budget permits it maybe vitara pistons and some rods and then a good sized cheap turbo. If I didn't want to do what everyone else does I would go same things internally but supercharger, custom camshaft and a 4 into 1, sequential firing exhaust with long runners that step up to try and make it sound like an F1 car. Less power than a turbo but instant boost and torque.

@@Ismaak5 I’ve already got eagle rods here for it and vitara pistons and picked up a fresh z6 crank for it this morning idk if I am going to stay vitaras tho I may sell them and get some forged pistons. I am leaning towards epoxy in the block but not 100% sure if I am going to do it As far as boost i already have the full turbo setup in the car right now on a stock motor you can see those videos on the Honda playlist if you would like! Did a super cheap diy turbo kit that has been working great so far!

@@bought2build got 2 bad out of the box one had oil problems seal was bad or something and then one the bearing failed put two more on and one was good and one started with the oil issues again so I ended up with one good turbo out of 4 I checked made sure I had no blockage on the return line this is on a twin turbo set up i have a good friend that also use this brand of turbo he said its hit or miss on getting a good one but he says they make good power when they're working right

@@brandonadkins5223 damn that’s annoying I must have got lucky this was the first one I ordered and it’s been fine it has been a few thousand miles and some dyno sessions and so far it’s still good “knock on wood” idk how hard you were pushing yours mines only on 13lbs right now until I get the built motor in I also spray meth directly into it lol but so far it’s been ok Just curious was yours the base one or the “billet” wheel version

@@jacobwebb8818 lol yeah it’s pretty sloppy haha I put the Polly mount at trans and where it bolts to floor the slop is in the shift ball itself but so far I’ve been fine with it if I come across one or a good replacement I may swap it out thanks for checking out the video 🤟🤟🤟👍👍👍👍👍

@@bought2build Thanks yea I went to dmax and they did a update on my glow plug module fixed those issues so don’t replace them first also the fuse that blows for the sunroof and rear window is inline with the cordless charging port on center dash and today I got another error message for poor def quality! SMH. I don’t man not to impressed these are built tuff and should go 200k attest with no issues

@@fredwilliams7893 damn that’s odd cuz I had glow plug codes i replaced one it went away for a while and now I have a different cylinder it is calling for But I agree especially for the price of new trucks they should live to 200k+

@bought2build yea hope that info helps others cause the guy at dmax was super honest! I was gonna buy a glow plug and he said most likely if the module isnt updated, you will get more glow plug codes. It's usually the module not the glow plugs! Same with the injector codes. Usually pig tail connector instead of the actual injector. I'm still learning. This is my first duramax. Did a ton of research before buying one. The two most mian issues is glow plug and injector codes! Poor def quality message aswell and told to top off def fluid it will go away and sure enough I did. And it went away. Wasn't actually the def Injector either!

@@akashmer thanks for checking out the video! So when you say blow off valve opening are you referring to the hole located at the 5 bolt flange on the exhaust housing? If so that would be the wastegate opening for an internally gated turbo my blow off valve is on my charge piping by the throttle body and my wastegate is on my exhaust manifold externally gated no boost creep issues as of now! Thank you for the input tho! Now a question on the second part so I mostly just smoothed out the flow areas and got rid of any casting imperfections are you saying that I should go farther and take off the edge and make it more rounded? @@bought2build YA on crack pipe typing that first part out. On the second part, the internal lip of the exhaust volute. Internally on the turbo housing contour. as the exhaust comes round the scroll and out that lip if you just round a c-hair off.

@@865Imports we ended up using a hondata 4bar I tried the PLM 4 bar with the scalar settings on their site “I don’t want to throw shade” because they were super cool to talk to and easy to work with called them with issue they got me a new one sent out had the same issue and they gave me a refund no questions and didn’t even need me to send it back they think they just got a bad batch shit happens I’ll still buy from plm in the future just because how they service was 👍👍🤟🤟🤟🤟 Do you need scalar settings? Or just tryna see if we had it setup right? Appreciate you checking out all the videos 🤟🤟🤟🤟👍👍👍👍👍

@@bought2build I was hoping you skimped on it and had it working tbh, I got the same service from the same company, I haven’t bought a nice one yet though. They had given #s other than the hondata/omni presets in smanager but they still didn’t work ):. I love the content man! Keep it up and keep grinding! I lost my old account so I’ve been using this one. I just finished a b18b1T in a 95 sedan budget style myself. Super super fun cars

@@865Imports yeah I had the same issue I used their numbers but still didn’t work for me but they were very helpful I did think about trying to scale it myself and see if I could make it work using a pressure regulator and see what it reads at what pressure but haven’t had time to And thanks homie! I appreciate that yeah it’s my first Honda and just happened to work perfect for a super cheap series and it has been a ton of fun! 🤟🤟🤟👍👍🤟🤟

@@bought2build I done the math with the provided info they sent and still wouldn’t work for me either, I just left my oem in and keep it under 10psi for now. Rather get the seat time at a comfortable power level rather than going straight kill mode with no experience on fwd turbo cars

Turbo is just a cheap lil $200 maxpeedingrods “billet” wheel T04e with the .57 ar exhaust housing I ported the compressor housing myself but never did testing before hand

@@bought2build that’s plenty enough turbo! I run a generic .63/50 and spools at 3k and holds til 72, can’t be mad at that lol. 180-250hp in these cars are fun as can be! And reliable

@@865Imports I was almost worried it would spool late but it actually spools great with this setup and has plenty left in it I wanted to slap some super cheap budget style rods and pistons in this thing but with it being the JDM D15B non vtec I’ve had issues finding out what would work out so idk if I want to tear it apart to measure or try to find a cheap d16 that I know I can get cheap parts for lol but yeah so far the turbo has been great I been basically daily driving this lil thing lol

@@gamergeek8933 yes on a turbo car you have a lot more gains because usually you can up the boost pretty easy and that is where the gain comes from And yes absolutely that is called “data logging” you take a log and send it out I don’t do a whole lot with Diablo most my cars are on HP tuners or a stand alone ECU But for a stock simple easy setup these are an option thanks for checking out the video and thanks for the support 🤟🤟🤟👍👍👍👍👍

I would like to not burn up my next Dremel so could you explain how you grinded the adapter to fit.

@@russellkeys3937 I did exactly what you said I used a dremel with a little barrel sander and just took my time use a rough grit paper and sometimes turning the speed down a little helps you could try a carbide deburer idk how to spell it lol but that may take too much off You could try putting them in a drill instead of the dremel good luck! Well I got a nice new Dremel 4300, so that's some consolidation. Anyways you mentioned that you had a performance kit and exhaust, but I can't seem to find that info. Could you let me know what you got?

@@russellkeys3937 you need a longer chain so I got a longer one and then broke it down And then the lift is just a lawn mower “lift” that I made work with flipped a few things around and used straps and what not mine is from tractor supply but you can find them cheaper www.tractorsupply.com/tsc/product/mojack-hydraulic-mower-lift-550-45004 And thanks I appreciate the support 👍🤟🤟🤟👍👍👍👍
