My name is John. My passion is automotive, I love just about anything with wheels and especially enjoy trying to make something my own. I started this channel to share some fun and knowledge along the way. By no means am I a TH-cam professional but I look forward to the challenge of making good content that y'all will enjoy, hopefully getting better at everything else (filming/editing) as we go. some of the vehicles you can expect to see on the channel are the 428 3.0L Whipple supercharged 1300+ WHP charger hellcat, L5P tuned and modified dually Denali, and the budget build 2005 pro charged LSX GTO. We will have other vehicle's on the channel Aswell, if any of this sounds like something that interests you consider clicking on that subscribe button!!!

What is your exhaust setup im assuming your running catless if thats the case it is entirely possible the turbo does not have enough back pressure on wot causing the oil to leak past the seals in which case a restrictor would be the fix here
@@mr.guytech7835 the exhaust is just a 3” from the turbo all the way to the rear bumper that I made! And thank you for the information I never knew that was a thing! But I don’t know if maybe it was a break in thing or maybe I only see it on the dyno because I have put 3-4K miles on the car since with countless pulls and I have never seen smoke on the street I am running a small restrictor the same size as the one that came with the turbo and it seems to be doing fine but I will look when I have it on the dyno again and when I finish building the new engine for it! Quick question, im looking to purchase a 2019 cadillac ct6 sport with the 3.0tt engine. There asking 32k with 67k miles. In your opinion is this a reliable car that could possibly last to 200k miles with proper maintenance?
@@colbydawson8763 I honestly don’t know if I would say 200k can it be a reliable car sure depending how it is treated and how it is maintained but I hate to say it todays society is a throw away mentality and the car manufacturers treat it that way do I think it is doable yeah but I also think you will run into some issues along the way this is purely my opinion and I don’t have any hard evidence to back it up but the 3.0tt is definitely a fun car thank you for checking out the channel and I appreciate the support! 🤟🤟🤟👍👍👍👍👍
@bought2build appreciate the response! The channel is awesome! Just trying to find a nice reliable car for long daily commutes for my new job. @@colbydawson8763 my ct6 3.0tt is exactly 67k miles now. To be honest it's not a reliable car, in the past one year, I had a problem with ACC, replaced the engine hood support and have to replace a MRC suspension now. None of them was expensive fix cause I bought used parts. But make sure you prepare for that. I still keep it because it's the last American luxury sedan

@@ThatSpoolinGoat you can do that he’s your tuner. but pretty confident you have another issue going on I have been running mine this way on multiple vehicles for years and have had zero issue boosted and on some NA cars Would you be buying the BTR covers through him..? Insane dedication into this channel bro. It's probably annoying to have cameras always with you and taping you but I'm watching through the whole Honda build playlist and I love it. Keep it up you're gonna blow up for sure
@@bigbeasterboy8206 I appreciate that homie! A new toy, hell yeah brother🤙🤌, love the diversity! Always down to learn how to go fast in different platforms. Thanks man! Man this channel deserves more followers. Ill send as much people as i can your way. Lets go 3k! Seriously one of the most technically solid channels and no bs.

Definitely like the ch new sub added here!
This would be a great starter platform for a drift trike
Yes it would! I still plan to do a part 2 I am going to go a little different route I think make a rear frame that can swap to any bike and then add a gokart style axle with bigger wheels and tires so it can be a cruiser for the pits or at the beach house! Thank you for the support! I really appreciate it! 🤟🤟🤟🤟👍👍👍👍
love the GTO content
Thank you! I appreciate the support! 🤟🤟👍👍 should have more coming soon! Still have to dyno it I have cutouts we need to get on it and eventually swapping to auto and of course getting it to the track! 🤟🤟🤟🤟
Did you end up leaving it on. Did it work good or did it leak with the oring. Seen some ppl said to use the factory gasket. I’m about to get a guage set up for my Gto was curious if I should go this route or the sandwich adapter.
It is still on the same way! I have since pulled the engine out of this red GTO and put it in my yellow GTO and never touched it and am still running it! No leaks at all! And no issues! Thanks for checking out the channel and thank you for the support!! 🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟👍👍👍👍
Cool vid as always. That pump usually shows the same content % for me as well. A respected tuner once told me theres no real change in power once the E is above 50ish %. So i consider the 65% good enough. Good luck on the dyno!
Thanks man! I really appreciate the support! And that’s funny My current tuner that I have always used for the GTO told me the same thing after 50-55% it doesn’t matter all that much but idk I run ignite red in the other car and this being so low makes me wonder what the other % is lol freakin hotdog water lol I wrote a big ass email to 2 different people at shell saying how bad it is here and how the pump says right on it 70% minimum won’t do shit but I figured couldn’t hurt to try lol and thanks man! 🤟🤟🤟🤟
id keep it stick
@@phillip-cl8bk stick is definitely fun to drive on a street style clutch but with the clutch we need to be able to hold what we want to do with this car it is no longer “fun” to drive it has taken the fun out of it for me with traffic and everything els and it causes the car to just sit in the garage a lot more. I feel like with a decent built 4l80E it will be plenty strong for what we want to do and I will be a lot more likely to take it out and actually drive it Also if I bring it to the track with this trans and sticky tires I am pretty confident it will leave in a pile of parts so if I am going to spend the money on a built streetable trans the car will definitely be faster and more consistent with an auto Thank you for the input I appreciate the support and thanks for checking out the channel! 🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟👍👍👍
@@bought2build In new to the GTO world, n i think the reason why is i didnt care to much for the looks, if i had known if they had IRS then id been on board from day 1! iv just recently started to research GTOs n im gonna try n find one, they seem like a great platform, im a stick guy, n i understand the logic in the path your wanting to take your car n i look forward to viewing the cars transformation! im doing a manual swap on my 06 silverado from auto n trying to figure out what i got to do after i get the mechanical part put in like, idk if i should live the auto part in park or neutral an will it start n run without the TCM plugged in
@@phillip-cl8bk thanks for the support and use Google and forums when I manual swapped my turbo civic I found a good write up on what wires I had to jump and what not I’m sure someone has done the swap so I am sure the info is out there if you look in the right places thanks for checking out the channel 🤟🤟🤟👍👍👍👍👍

@@krisenr thank you I appreciate it! Thanks for the support! No adjustable rear sway bar? Pedders and Hotchkis both make them and they make a difference in handling.
hey thanks for the input and suggestion! I don't really corner with this car it is all setup to go straight so it doesn't really need one right now I wasn't even going to run the stock one but I had it. thanks for checking out the channel I appreciate the support! and if you have a link to one handy I would take a look it at 🤟 🤟 🤟
Do or did your tranmission do hard shifts from 1st to 2nd gear at very low speed?? Im having that problem. When im pulling off really slow at sometime shift hard to second gear.
I have this car as well, mine is the 2016 CT6 Platinum. I love the car but I too have this same issue. Honestly, these transmissions in these cars are terrible. The 8 speeds they used from 2016-2019 all have some kind of issue and its mostly with the hard shifting. GM is aware of the problem and a class action lawsuit was filed but I don't know what has come of that since as that was years ago. I have had it in the shop to correct the issue and they've done some software updates and what not but they basically say they cant find anything wrong with it. If you do some research on it, you will see many others have the same problem we do. I want to upgrade to the 2020 Platinum anyway and they use a different transmission in those. They switched to the 10 speed in the newer cars and they are much better than the 8's. Good luck my friend GM doesnt have a fix for this nor do they want to and its a shame for a car this expensive.
@Trillaxin thanks so much for the information. I was going to get it looked at before my max care warranty runs out but you said that there's no fix😫😫
yes I have had it do that a few times not crazy hard but noticable thanks for checking out the channel 🤟 🤟 🤟 🤟
thank you for the info! and yeah I mean honestly tho the fact they have an issue and don't want to deal with it makes me not want to buy another one which is a shame because I do love the car. it is weird if I beat on it and drive it hard it is usually fine it is only when I am driving it easy I notice it
@bought2build exactly. I'm still going to take it in tho just to make sure they can't do anything about it because I don't want to be stuck with a bad tranmission when my warranty runs out lol
Any more problems with the transmission since then ?

I want to run VMR 18”s. 8.5 front and 9.5 rear at offsets 35 & 45 rear. Will these fit and clear okay? I plan to grind the rear fender but don’t know how the front will go
@@Lunt-le9jz it will depend on the tire size you run thanks for checking out the channel 🤟🤟👍👍👍
@@bought2build absolutely !! I’m not sure on what tire I want yet, but I’m more wondering if those offsets are outrageous and would never fit when lowering and for full lockout during turns (up front).
Going to be doing this when I get my VMR setup. I want to do 35 front and 45 offset rear and am wondering how hard it will be to fit. Is the front as bad as the rear for clearance ??
sorry I didn't get notified with your comment but no the front I had no clearance issues at all! thanks for checking out the channel!!
@@bought2build no problem! Thanks for replying man. That’s great to hear. 35 will look so good, and everybody seems to make 45 for rear work with minor grinding. I’m excited.
