My longest flight was Sydney to Manila, philippine airlines, economy, just over 8 hours flight time. I cant imagine myself a 15 hour journey and the effects of massive change in time zones. Nice video, informative 👍
Thanks for the review. For what you pay with Qantas, which is always in the top tier of prices in comparison with all other airlines, it’s still a very average service IMO.
@@nicholasngo5428 In all likelihood. QFs 10 (was 12) A380s were delivered from 2008-2011.. that would make them 28-31 yrs in 2039 - very unlikely. They have a bunch of other aircraft on order (A350s and B787s) that will likely replace these aircraft by 2039.
Nice one, You would be a fun travel companion to fly with, would never go thirsty:) 🥂🥂🥂 Despite QF not been anything special when compared to other airlines I do enjoy the crew and the biz hard product on the A380. Catering can be hit and miss and QF do have a habit of green washing everything in the name of weight reduction....for example plates that are small because they weigh less etc, this reflects in the soft product which screams cost cutting. Menus always read well but once plated seem like a bit of a let down. Try air nz next time once they get new seats;) Happy travels!
But no one knows what the Qantas business class lounge is like, because you didn't go there. What's the point of doing a review if you don't duplicate the correct experience?
The man had access to the first lounge. Why on earth would he subject himself to a downgraded experience in the business lounge? Did you pay for this review? Need a refund?
@@emercycrite This is a review channel, captain stupid. If he's reviewing the business class product then he needs to go to the business class lounge. Even he gets that.
LAX is a massive airport.. albeit now everything is pretty much connected airside it's a lot easier to make transfers (still wouldn't be my choice in the US though)
This is great! We'll be doing this on the 787 next year.
Thanks Matt- enjoy your trip next year! Gotta love the Dreamliner. I always feel so much more refreshed when I get off a long haul flight on a 787.

Thanks for watching. Glad you enjoyed it. I hope to get to the Philippines one day too
Lovely flight!
❤
Thanks for watching ... I enjoyed it 😃

I'm sure things would be different if another airline started to fly the LAX-MEL route ... looking forward to that day
Great Trip Report
Thanks for watching ... appreciate you commenting
Ticket Price?
I had an economy ticket and upgraded using points earned on my credit card
1:09 had no idea you could take dogs into the airport/lounge 🐶
Me neither! Guess it's classed as a "service animal" 🦮
Like your style dude.
Ha! Gotta make the most of it
Nice video, after flying Qatar business/first class a couple weeks ago I have no desire to jump on a Qantas plane anytime soon 😂
Definitely need some competition on the LAX-MEL route to shake things up a bit
& if yr weally weally fortunate u may be diverted there...
I wish I can fly this in 2039!
Fingers crossed!
I don't understand what you say?
The A380.. probably not. An A350 maybe
Do you mean it will be operated by an a350 instead of an A380 in 2039!

Thanks for commenting ... you always need something with sleep on these long flights, right! Definitely look forward to those new Air NZ seats too

Thanks for the feedback ... trying to show something a bit different but get your point
It’s gross. The 1st class lounge is way better.

@@TK-vy4oi Irrelevant. He should have at least had a look at the BC lounge so we know what it is like. It's a BC review isn't it?
ye the johno
Thanks for watching!
That looks like a hideous airport prior to departure. It’s all over the place
Definitely quite the walk down to the gates. Not something to leave to the very last minute lol
My least favourite airport, hopefully it will improve when global entry is available for Australians. Miami isn’t much of an improvement.

13 mins into the video and you’ve already had 4 drinks … steady on.
Need something to help you sleep, right?
Exactly
Hi
Hello. Thanks for watching!
That's broccolini not broccoli....it's meant to be served Al dente.
I wish it was just al dente .. it was pretty much raw! And al dente could do with a sharper knife lol
I've seen another flight reviewer who didn't eat it either. It doesn't matter what it's called, it's rock hard and inedible.
Agreed.. it's lovely with about a 2min boil and quick sear.
No idea how they do it on the plane where everything is just reheated.
A dog in a first class lounge is enough to turn me off flying Qantas. I have dogs but no place in a lounge its woke b/s only Qantas can permit.
lol ... "service animals" are everywhere in the US right now, nothing to do with Qantas ... thanks for watching!
That's US regulations I think you'll find. Same rules at every lounge at LAX or you will get sued.
