I wish I can fly this in 2039!
How about a bit more detail? In a sense you are reviewing a restaurant, so what label champagne was served? Was the chardonnay Forest Hill? The blue cheese was fourme d'Ambert not "d'Albert"
Hey @johnotravels Qantas should introduce hot towels for first class and business class passengers I reckon
Noticed Qantas still don't list their wine selection in Business class.
What happed to your audio? You need a better mike my friend. Thanks for the review.
Totally agree ... had a bit of an issue with a dodgy connector ... better next time, promise! 🙁 🙁
I often hear people say “ yes it’s basic or small portions and that’s all you need “ when referring to QANTAS, however what QANTAS charge is FAR from “BASIC” !
Yup. I'd say a lot of this is down to insufficient competition on most routes between US and Australia
Hello. Is there a difference when it is a Sydney or Melbourne based crew?
Be careful when the staff handle the glasses . I noticed the woman put her fingers all over the glass where you drink from, not a good look or hygienic. Something to keep in mind for future travels .
Hi
Hi too … thanks for watching. I hope you’ve subscribed for the next exciting instalment

6’4 mate you’re a machine
Ha … not something I’ve worked at, just sorta happened lol
Thanks for sharing :) about to do this so loved seeing it
Enjoy! Fourteen hours doesn’t seem so long when you’ve got a bed!
🙄boring🥱🥱🥱
LOL ... thanks for your comment 🥱🥱🥱
1st Class and you don’t get access to the lounge without status ?
I know right! Only get lounge access for international or transcontinental flights despite a First Class ticket.
First class, what a joke🤨
Ha ... but but ... you get a bag of nuts!
how much $$$$$ ????
I used points earned on my credit card to upgrade from economy
@@JohnoTravels nice
Thank you. I've taken this route before but only as walking, waiting for a flight. My question is.... From a domestic terminal (T5) to Tom Bradley, wouldn't there have to be a passport control?
Great questions and something I wondered myself, but there was no physical passport check on the walk from T5 (Domestic) to TBIT (International) .The final airline required passport details to be entered online before checking in and there was a Face ID check before boarding, but that was it. Very very easy!
My favourite airline 🙏🙏, great review mate
Definitely at the top of my list too. Thanks for watching!
My favourite airline. Shame they didn’t operate all the domestic flights in Australia.
Ha! There's an idea
Gee man, if i was flying business might be hitting the lounge way earlier then flying with an always topped up glass of champagne back to Melbourne...🥂
Always the challenge with a red-eye flight ... slumber or champagne??? Thanks for watching!
Like your style dude.
Ha! Gotta make the most of it
You lucky bastard
I know right! And that’s why you use a points earning credit card lol Thanks for watching 🙏 🙏
Nice review
Thanks for watching! Appreciate the comment
I did this exact flight on 5 August. It’s a very early landing. But I loved the single seats. Managed to snag a bulkhead seat this time:) Melbourne is now spring instead of winter!
Lucky you! The bulkhead seats did appear to have a fair bit more space around them. Thanks for sharing 👍
You're so lucky you get to fly so much, maybe it'll be me some day! Enjoy 🍷
You can do it! Thanks for watching … I always try to remind myself to feel lucky even on the longest of flights
I Love Changi Airport World Best My Opinion.Great Video And Info
It’s huge! I love how the train between terminals goes through the middle of the Jewel
Seats look extremely narrow..
Thanks for watching … I didn’t feel it was narrow but if you want to see a really wide seat checkout my Singapore airlines video … much much wider
No pyjamas 😢
Ha ha … yeah I know! Don’t normally wear PJs from 10am to 1pm!! lol
Thank you for this. I have a flight that connects through terminal 5 to B, and i have never been to LAX before. I only have an hour between fights, so knowing exactly where to go is so helpful.
Glad it was helpful! Have a great trip
Hurrah for group boarding! It’s so fun to see gate lice turned away
I'm totally with you on that! Seems it was just some teething problems as haven't seen the same issues since
What a flog
Why is he a flog?! Bizarre comment
lol … thanks for your comment!
My longest flight was Sydney to Manila, philippine airlines, economy, just over 8 hours flight time. I cant imagine myself a 15 hour journey and the effects of massive change in time zones. Nice video, informative 👍
Thanks for watching. Glad you enjoyed it. I hope to get to the Philippines one day too
Ticket Price?
I had an economy ticket and upgraded using points earned on my credit card
qantas is sht
lol ... thanks for commenting!
Went to Africa on QATAR BUSINESS CLASS Q-SUITE - the #1 airline ABSOLUTELY spoiled me forever
Love Qatar's Q-Suites ... competition is what leads to great products like that! Thanks for watching.
Great review, a shame Virgin no longer have the wide bodies coast to coast too. That was a great era! Keep up the great work!
Thanks for watching ... I agree anytime there's competition is a good time
Wow
Thanks for watching and taking the time to add a comment ... much appreciated
New subscriber here from Melbourne. Love your video 😊
Yay! Thank you!
A dog in a first class lounge is enough to turn me off flying Qantas. I have dogs but no place in a lounge its woke b/s only Qantas can permit.
lol ... "service animals" are everywhere in the US right now, nothing to do with Qantas ... thanks for watching!
Hi
Hello. Thanks for watching!
Hi
Hello. Thanks for watching!
Enjoying the videos Johno and a new sub , cheers Matt
Welcome aboard! Thanks for watching. I hope you'll enjoy the Malaysian Airlines videos coming soon
1:09 had no idea you could take dogs into the airport/lounge 🐶
Me neither! Guess it's classed as a "service animal" 🦮
It wasn’t a proper analysis of Business class because you didn’t use the BC lounge which is terrible. Also on the many occasions I’ve flown BC, the on board food and service is also below avg. and why would you serve a breakfast when you’re landing at 6.30pm?
The breakfast in the evening was certainly a strange idea - we keep hearing about the fancy lighting help us adjust to the time zones and didn't think bacon and eggs made sense. And I promise to check out that business lounge for you soon. Haven't been there for a while
Compared to other airlines QF Business Class looks cheap and nasty. No real service, or attention, from the crew. Most look like they really don't want to be there. Better option out there.
To be fair, the crew were really great on this flight. Not the best product out there for sure but still the best (only) product on this route! I look forward to seeing what some competition on the MEL-LAX would do
Lovely flight! ❤
Thanks for watching ... I enjoyed it 😃
Nice one, You would be a fun travel companion to fly with, would never go thirsty:) 🥂🥂🥂 Despite QF not been anything special when compared to other airlines I do enjoy the crew and the biz hard product on the A380. Catering can be hit and miss and QF do have a habit of green washing everything in the name of weight reduction....for example plates that are small because they weigh less etc, this reflects in the soft product which screams cost cutting. Menus always read well but once plated seem like a bit of a let down. Try air nz next time once they get new seats;) Happy travels!
Thanks for commenting ... you always need something with sleep on these long flights, right! Definitely look forward to those new Air NZ seats too
744 it was only 13 hours. LAX MEL is 15 hours
Whoops! DId I say 15 hours. I guess if you count from boarding to disembarking it'd be close to 15 hours :) Thanks for watching!
13 mins into the video and you’ve already had 4 drinks … steady on.
Need something to help you sleep, right?
Exactly
ye the johno
Thanks for watching!
