Yes you are correct - the Qantas International First lounge. I should have specified that they don't have their own lounge available for their Business Class* passengers, only First Class.
Nice one Jake👍🏻 I've been trying to figure how t maximize benefit of that card. Even with the "technicalities" of domestic airfare, this is way better than full price.
Agreed! The card is definitely worth it for the first year with the sign up bonus…but I agree, unless you fly Alaska frequently, it may not be a long-term keeper card for everyone. I’m learning towards canceling mine soon since I’m not finding myself using it all that often with some of the other cards I have. Being based at ORD my primary airline has always been United!
If you have to “survive” those 15 hours in economy on that same flight like I did, I recommend paying a little extra to select seat 80K. Great legroom with nobody in front of you. But, Jake is right. I’ve had the chance to fly business class and don’t really want to go back.😂
@@paulsz6194 Yep, I bought premium economy with cash on United (my choice airline) for the flight home via SFO. So I was happy to earn those miles for a future United / Star Alliance redemption down the road, but I think 55k miles for long-haul business class will always be worth it!
Qantas do have a lounge in Tom Bradley. But not for OneWorld use. For Qantas club business and first passengers. No paid entry or free passes incl QFF invitation passes.
The hardest part of it all...! I actually used the website ExpertFlyer which is awesome, it lets you set alerts for certain flights for when award space opens up which saves soooo much time and hassle. It went down to the wire but I snagged my award seat about a month out!
I really enjoyed your video . Very professional. I subscribed. Thanks.
Thank you, Craig! I hope to have many more videos like this one in the coming months. Thanks for subscribing!
Booked Syd to LAX return in the window seat with the most privacy, can't wait!
Hope you enjoy the flight as much as I did!
Qantas has a lounge in LAX

Love this video. Keep up the good work!

A great tidbit! There’s always a travel hack to be found…especially for those times when we can’t travel like kings 😉
wow very nice review friend
Good work. Subbed
Appreciate it!!
As 55K miles is one way, were you slumming it down the back on the return?
Unfortunately I was…back to reality pretty quick 😂 but one way is better than none!
@@JakeJones so you earned points in economy on the way back, at least?
Perhaps you wish you took Premium Economy both ways instead now?

Very informative flight review buddy, look forward to your next one.
Thank you, sir!
10 outta 10, Cyiggity! Safe to say I would’ve preferred that to my seat!!
too funny- if you want to be technical.....and of course, if.....you can find award availability.

Please do a better job of showing the menu. Thanks!

Had to do it for ‘em
Technical technicalities are obnoxious, and we don’t like obnoxious #jakejonesflightreview
