- A velomobile skeptic tries a MILAN SL/Stuart is back! #130
I managed to get my mate Stuart from Bikefix to sit in a Velomobile again after his traumatic trip with me to the Netherlands in a previous vlog.
He never got over it lol ,and here we are again on a lovely hilly ride through the Kent countryside.This should be interesting to see what the biggest Velomobile hater thinks of the Milan SL.

I think Stuart greatly desires the velomobile.
I love seeing true friends together.
On the channel of Utah Trikes they combined a 6 speed Pinion with a 14 speed Rohloff - take that! :-P
By the way - atm people have to use single-use plastic gloves at the backery stations in the supermarkets - I keep my used ones and use it to put the chain back on the gear - no dirty fingers!
No much change for Steward between a kayak and a velomobil. Yesterday when I was paddling my kayak, I thought it is as long as my QV, but has only have the height. :) I just get the kayak on the roof of my car alone - difficult with the QV.

I'm slowly coming round to the fact that I need a Milan, maybe you and Neil will have to bring yours up north and I'll take you both on my 100 miler that will either convince me to get one (if you're faster than my Df) or not!

I am sooo glad that I took out the Mountain Drive in mine and put in a Bafang. Now, when I get home from work I feel a LITTLE less like a wrung-out rag :-). Probably still look like one though!
Then again, I suspect I keep a lot more clobber in mine than you do in yours.

Stuarts clothes are pretty run down. Somehow I like that he uses stuff as long as possible while not giving an f what others think.

Velo-Ads, I love when you do video reviews of velomobiles. Maybe you can come up with a scoring system like example

Maybe a dealer will allow you to do reviews for their velos.
Also make a test track and a time Trial board a-la Top Gear

@@bikefix If that's what you call a hill you should see my city. I wouldn't dare go down any of the slopes with only 70mm brakes. My whale of a velo has regen motor and that barely makes it feel safe

hills are not a good way to convert a skeptic to the potential of velomobiles. frightening going down, painful going up. too few dopamine squirts in both directions. flat land is where they shine, becoming the bike version of a supercar, making any hills a superficial obstacle. hill seekers are special and perverse. not everybody has the gene for such extended self flagellation
