    Great Review Nexi.
    I bought a Flashforge finder on the strength of your review awhile back as my 1st 3d printer and have been delighted with its performance. This looks like it might be my next one as I tend to stay away from the tinkering side of 3d printing...though I might go for Xplus (smaller volume but cheaper) or X pro (for the dual nozzle printing)...they all look like great machines with good user ratings...

    • @NexiTech
      @NexiTech  4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Thank you so much, I'm very glad that you found my video useful and helpful. Let me tell you that I still have my Flashforge Finder(Over 2.5years) and it still works like it's brand new, I never replace anything on it beside that I upgraded motherboard cooling fan under the metal back-cover. That coiling fan is just unnecessary loud sense the printer is very quiet. I found myself printing very often on it when I have smaller size PLA to print. It's so easy and conveniently to print on it.
      Yes, Xplus is great choice too, I would recommend to go with the X-Plus as dual nozzle 3D printers can be very annoying to level and print with. I had dual nozzle 3D printers in past and after some time i just remove second nozzle and use them only as single nozzle 3D printers. If you planing to get dual nozzle 3D printer I would only get the one that can separately control heating on both nozzle and that can automatically retract the nozzle to prevent prints to collide with it when the second nozzle is not in use.

    (Excellent review) Well... Thanks to the experimenters, suppliers, businesses fabricating in China and elsewhere. I have seen the evolution in the last 10 years the way others follow sports. This printer has those first-hand experiments all over it. These machines will get more affordable over time, of course. At this point though, with this printer I see an industry hand-off to the turn-key user. It's still early, but if you compare the learning curve transferring from the experimenter to the maintenance-focused consumer as you would with anyone operating any complex machine like this, AND the price-point for a turn-key machine equalling that of, for example, a small pro-sumer 4k camcorder, you see what I mean.

    This seems so nice, but I need to be able to run the air through a filter to remove the toxic fumes since I do not have a well-ventilated area. These included filters are not for fumes, and adapting a custom filter solution may be more difficult than when making the enclosure from scratch,

    • @NexiTech
      @NexiTech  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      If your print stick too much with PETG you can set higher first layer, add 0.01mm on your first layer and try it out. Also you can flip flexible build plate and print on the other side as well.

    • @NexiTech
      @NexiTech  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thanks! Well not really. Dual nozzle 3D printers are still not perfect yet in reasonable price range. Dual nozzle 3D printers tends to knock out the print during printing, damage places on print during travel move and second nozzle can leak and clog as well if you not hit exactly hit right temperature. I would not recommend any 3D printer with dual nozzle if the second nozzle can not retract when is not in use. It's better to have one print head that works good instead that you have frustration with dual print head. Just my opinion.

    • @dr.nordstrom5774

      @@NexiTech I understand your point about the problem with two extruders on one head because I have the MakeIt Pro M. I would like to save money and buy the X-Max, but I thought that I would need 2 extruders to make supports. How often do you wish that you had dissolvable supports, or is it really not that important? Thank you.

    I know this is an old video but i was wondering about printing materials like abs and petg because the ptfe goes right down into the nozzle so you cant really go to them temperature. Did you find any issues with any melting of the ptfe tube?.

    • @NexiTech
      @NexiTech  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      If you print alot of ABS you can always replace stock ptfe tube with Capricorn tube when is worn out one day. Also there are petg filaments that print just fine with lover temperature on the nozzle so there is no worry :)

    • @NexiTech

      @A R You don't need to do that. In the package you will get extra all metal hight temp hotend part which can be heat up to 300c. Nozzle is also steal hardened so you can print any kind of abrasive filaments. Just look at the video more carefully and you will see it. 2:02

I show it in the video on few places, here for example: 10:19(retraction setings) 15:07 (ABS print setings). I did not need to tweek anything to get those print results. What is the max print speed for the x-max? Thank you!

    • @NexiTech
      @NexiTech  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      That's hard to say. It depends of your model, what type and size model you are printing, what kind of printing quality you are looking, your slicer settings and many more. I'm always trying to adjust print speed depending of the model and my print quality needs. You can always push any printer over 100mms but how good or bad it will turn out only you can tell :)

If you are interested I could dissambly the bottom cover of the printer and take some pictures of motherboard etc? It's quite heavy machine but i will do it if you need more info.

There are also people saying that Prusa is better because QIDI is from China... Some people even say that you constantly need to replace the bed magnetic sheets for the QIDI... What do you think?
