I really like how steady the camera angles are so that I won't get dizzy and sick from motion sickness. Great background music, to me suits the terrain game board as well. Good job!
Two things I noticed: All of the Helljacks including those Three slayers are part of Mortenebra's Battle Group. Also Terminal Velocity is a pulse spell, not an area of effect spell. When she casts the spell, it effects all of the Warjacks in her battlegroup, currently in her control area and conveys all of the benefits immediately. Jacks can then move out of her control area and still have the effects of Terminal Velocity. Since it is a pulse, if a new jack that was outside of Mortenebra's control range move into her control range after the spell is cast, it will not get the benefits of Terminal Velocity. I love your channel and these are some of the best video battle reports I have seen. You folks do an amazing job.

Another great battle report!! I wish you posted videos more frequently. I want to point out a mistake the Cryx player made on turn 2. Terminal Velocity is a pulse effect. It means warjacks in Mortenebra's control area at the moment the spell is cast get to benefit from it. It doesn't matter they move out of her control area later. They still get the boosted attack rolls against living models.
That's an awesome table your playing on, love the terrain. I have been out of the table top war gaming "thing" for almost 15 years but videos like this make me want to get back into it.

I like the way you say "Cryx" in the initial introduction - there is an undertone of contempt for the undead legions, it seems 4. I also like the way you say "Khador victory"; suppressing the glee and keeping your stoic demeanor in true Khador fashion.

am i wrong in saying that around the 14 min mark where the Behemoth attacks the death jack, you should have been adding +2 to each of the rolls because the armor is halved (10 i believe) and the PS is 12.

Thank you! This was filmed at Valhalla I think. The tablemat is from Tablewar and the terrain was made (I think) by Blue Table Painting. Unfortunately I don't own that stuff lol.

Love how the terrain is on this table, I get bored of the terrain I usually play with and this adds a nice narrative to the game; which I find WarmaHordes often lacks from being so competitive. Keep up the great work.

hello im new to warmachine and have a question cause i cant find it in the quick start rules but i need to know. so can som1 pls tell me what happen´s if i attack a enemy model from behind? is there any Penalty for the enmy defense or something or just a normal melee attack? pls someone help me ^^´

Dan White I use a macro wide-angle lens adapter for my game footage. It's only about $30 from B&H Photo. Also, the damage grids were made in 3D Studio MAX. It's just a full on animation, so I don't know how someone without access to a 3D animator would pull them off. Maybe something in Photoshop?
fantastic battle report! very clear and enjoyable as always! i realise that this report is quite old, but i was under the impression that if a warjacks movement system is crippled, melee attacks targeting it would automatically hit and there is no need to roll. fortunately, in this report i dont think you missed any under those conditions anyway. please correct me if i am wrong :D

We missed you! Love the battle reports, probably the cleanest and most explained I know of. Gotta say though, why no Battle Lust charge? The Winterguard under Bears Strength could have killed all 3 slayers, and still have Feat turn to keep them alive.

Hate to be That Guy, but I run Morte as one of my main casters. Terminal Velocity gives boosted attack rolls if they START in her control area. It doesn't matter if they leave it. It's a "pulse".

Mageprince93 If you're used to having a lot of cheap infantry as Guard, then Khador would feel right at home. We don't use a lot of heavy armor. Our Man-O-War aren't very competitive and we don't usually run a lot of 'Jacks, but our infantry usually hits really hard.If you're more used to a shooting list, you might look at Retribution. I say this because my friend who used to play IG and Eldar really enjoys playing Retribution.Good luck with your decision and I hope you enjoy Warmachine =)

Great vid, but it was kind of lacking since I didn't really get to know much about your opponent til after the game. Kind made it a little dry with out either their commentary or some form of interaction.
Turn 3, this is the order that I think would have worked best. Not taking away from you, but I think it would have been more of a sure thing to put you well up in attrition. Drop Iron Flesh, Upkeep Superiority, 1 to Big B's subcortex Activate Irusk, Battle Lust Winter Guard and Men-o-War, Feat Men-O-War now get 8 attacks at 3 dice rather than the 4 you took, but also at +2 MAT so they are more likely to land them (4's to hit), pretty much sealing DJ's fate. Big B comes and does the last point or 2 if necessary, if not he just shoots as you did. Winterguard get Bear Strength from Joe and become a unit of P+S 11 Weapon Masters with +2 MAT charging the Jacks in front of them, and very possibly removing them (6's to hit, -6 to damage or 4's to hit at -4 to damage if you group them in 2s for CMA, remembering this is on 4 dice) War Dog sits in front of Irusk to help block any trample lanes, Widowmaker UA runs to do the same (if there is no 1 point left on a jack somewhere who has lost his movement) Widowmakers do something, shoot for the arc node or something perhaps, while spreading out to continue contesting the objective even if the bonejack charges one guy Then it is your opponents turn, and he's down 1-3 jacks, some support pieces, and only has a 50/50 of killing anything in your army. Next turn IF goes back up, as does Bob-and-Weave, and at DEF 17 they need 9s to hit you on free strikes when they've tried to jam you back up, so while you can't rely on it you can probably walk back out of melee, shoot a bit at whatever you want, get tough from Joe and redress your battle lines to get ready to hit them again with the Men-o-War who are now safe and happy. Really, I personally think of Irusk's feat as +2 MAT +1 damage dice, with a defensive buff in tough, so an all up offensive feat, rather than a defensive feat.

Where can I see a comparative of the best supported and active miniature games as of today? As most of non experts I know and played some WH and WH40K and I know Warmachine/Hordes just because my bro and his mates plays it.
AndreCorner You've just named the two most active and supported games. =D Might try Bell of Lost Souls and Beasts of War. The forum groups for different games might give you what you're looking to know.
AndreCorner The best thing to do is to see what the people at your local game store play. It doesn't matter how popular overall WH and Warmachine are if everyone near you plays Malifaux.
***** With Iron Flesh and Bob-and-Weave, Winterguard go to 9s to hit on the free strike for anything MAT 6 (which is most stuff). Kayazy have parry, and even if not are DEF 19 against melee with the UA (because never take them without him) and Iron Flesh. Khador are surprisingly good at walking away from melee. Hell, even Iron Fangs walking away with Iron Flesh are 8's to hit for a MAT 6 model. I mean why you'd want to walk Kayazy or Iron Fangs away from anything I don't know, but there might be a reason one day. Also I know I keep including Iron Flesh in this, but since several casters in Khador have it, including the caster in this batrep which we are talking about, I think it's a valid thing to factor in.
Deathjack has to exploit Goreshade1's spells.... Sacrificing one summoned unit to suddenly teleport the deathjack behind any target is face roll, so why throw the deathjack away like that? Waste of deathjack...
+Diehard 270 Probably because it's her faction? :D Not everyone collects a couple armies, some people stick to one. At least in case of Khador you can change the playstyle while staying in-faction thanks to casters!

Refreshing to see you back. That's one thing the hobby needs is more women in it. I'm so glad to have married a woman who will join me in my hobby She's better at the hobby portion than I am (painting etc) and I'm better at the gaming portion than her so it tends to work out quite balanced. also I must say I do love Gervaldt Irusk however I don't yet own his prime form.

Why does anyone ever try to have infantry break away from melee? I've never seen that turn out well.
I've had it work out a few times in desperation but usually not something you do.
Brandon Lagunas Yeah, or to clear a charge lane, etc. There are reasons, but still, it's never pretty.
***** To be fair, it worked well for me in my Skorne battle. I just didn't expect my opponent to roll so well.
***** With Iron Flesh and Bob-and-Weave, Winterguard go to 9s to hit on the free strike for anything MAT 6 (which is most stuff). Kayazy have parry, and even if not are DEF 19 against melee with the UA (because never take them without him) and Iron Flesh. Khador are surprisingly good at walking away from melee. Hell, even Iron Fangs walking away with Iron Flesh are 8's to hit for a MAT 6 model. I mean why you'd want to walk Kayazy or Iron Fangs away from anything I don't know, but there might be a reason one day.
Also I know I keep including Iron Flesh in this, but since several casters in Khador have it, including the caster in this batrep which we are talking about, I think it's a valid thing to factor in.

this battle convinced me to get Kommandant Irusk for my Khador force.
Deathjack has to exploit Goreshade1's spells....
Sacrificing one summoned unit to suddenly teleport the deathjack behind any target is face roll, so why throw the deathjack away like that?
Waste of deathjack...

+Diehard 270 Probably because it's her faction? :D Not everyone collects a couple armies, some people stick to one. At least in case of Khador you can change the playstyle while staying in-faction thanks to casters!
