I don't care against what, but maybe something weird, like Cephalyx or Convergence.
WarGamerGirl I'm currently trying to "main" Old Witch, albeit with little success. All I know is that she has amazing synergy with Behemoth (Apparition + his guns work really well together) and that she still loves greylords, for instant stealth. She definitely needs armor-cracking in her list.

Noticed a small correction, your opponent was running a min unit of Krielstone Bearer and stone scribes. A full unit would be 5 grunts plus the leader. As always, you put together the highest quality batreps on TH-cam!! Thanks Miranda!

I've watched em all a couple of times at least, and I have a mighty need for more. Also, I'd love to see a game with Karchev the Terrible. he's really quite Strong in MK3, and can really help out the SPD 4 Warjacks Khador are so famous for.

I loved playing Trollbloods for years, but after Privateer Press Nerf the Hell out of them in Mk 3... They castrated Mulg and Earthborn two of our best Warbeasts... Nerf the Warders and Made the Stone so expensive in points to bring out to the table now... That it just kills the Trollblood players game... As you could see, you were shooting the Warders off the table before they could even get into good melee to be worth their points. Kept all my Trollbloods in hope that some day... Privateer Press will allow them to be more competitive once again.

I am quite a fan of warmachine my self but lately everyone has started rotating towards malifaux and I remain a bit sceptical in terms of starting out as well.. Normal tough is on a 5 or 6 yes. Irusk's feat specifically allows a tough roll of 4, 5, or 6 for a round though. So that tough roll of 4 should have been during my feat. Thanks for watching =)
Yes, no tough check when knocked down. Similarly, effects that prevent knock down from happening allow you to keep making tough rolls, that is if you keep passing them as well.
hello, Miranda. I'm russian trollbloods newcommer and I wonder why your opponent didn' use Snacking ability of his warbeasts when striking you models on Irusks's feat turn, could you explain, why? If he did a couple of your models were died cuz no tough rolls were done. Regards
I new to the game and still getting used to the new rules. I could have totally missed something here, but at the end of the game when the Juggernaut is attacking the Warlock, hadn't one of it's arms been disabled on the previous turn? It looked like WGG attacked with both arms' initial attacks. I'm still learned, so is there a special reason for that, or was that just a mistake?
Ah, I should have used 1 die to roll the attack and damage with the disabled arm. A crippled arm or head causes you to use 1 less die for that arm/head. You can still use it in your initial attack though.
Thanks for clarifying. It's a lot to keep track of sometimes in the middle of a game. I'm very much a beginner and mostly play with people who are only a little more familiar with the game than I am, and we're all still getting used to the new rules. Your videos are really great tools for learning and understanding the game and being inspired to keep going in a hobby that's completely foreign to me. They even persuaded me to build a Khador army!
I purchased a 2mm hole punch from the stationary department in Hobby Lobby and used it to punch out the little rivets from plastic card. Then I just glued them on with super glue gel and a pair of tweezers.
troll player played a sub par caster poorly tbh, why waste the fury to put rage on the bomber if you were going to waste ALL of your attacks on a small base and totally ignore the warjack you were in melee with. seriously, it was like you were trying to lose. . . . Also, there was no reason for his bomber to walk into wind ravager. I can understand if hes inexperienced, but in a world where you can ask your opponent what their spells do AND pre-measure everything. . . . I cant even call it a rookie mistake, it seemed intentional. . . Don't get me wrong, i love your bat reps, great quality and sound, really good editing. but TBH this one just pissed me off as a main faction Trollblood player. terrible representation of trolls.

sorry bujt im alittle comfused as nothing you did on feat turn prevented your (khador) models from being knocked down. toughs rules state you become knocked down of you make a tough roll and tough can not activate if a model is knocked down.
Unless they changed the order of triggers, you check for tough at the boxed trigger so it doesn;t matter if that attack that caused it then subsequently RFPs.
Marco Pal you trigger tough on disabled (order is disabled, boxed, destroyed) and snacking removes from play on the destroyed step. they played it right.
How do you figure? Trolls and Circle have some of the biggest boogeyman out there, and every Hordes faction (except Skorne at the moment) are very good and quite viable. I Primarily play Circle and Legion and have great success with both, and if I had the ability to pick up Minions I would.
Circle is legit and probably the strongest Hordes faction atm, pieces like Una2, Cassius and the redesigned Sentry Stones give them a lot of answers to both the Jack Spam and Gunline Meta. Madrak2 while totally a boogeyman still has a rough time against players who're expecting him and have the tools designed to answer him. The best indicator of this is the WTC where Madrak2 had close to a 40% winrate while Cassius was batting around 60%. Generally this is because Madrak2 punishes bad positioning and over commitment super hard. Trolls are weak atm because PP took the things that they said they were going to fix about the faction and made them a lot worse instead. Previously Trollbloods were a combined arms faction that relied on Animi and layered buffs on solid infantry options to get work done. Now all of our infantry got nerfed (burrowers, Kriel warriors, champions) had their natural predators buffed (fennblades) and our support pieces have become more expensive and our animi were restricted to self (making the majority of the elemental trolls useless in the process). This combined with the nerfs to tough with no compensation in either point costing or stat rebalancing makes pretty much everything that isn't a Fire Eater or a Warder a non-starter for Troll melee lists since the single wound infantry sucks or gets shot to death by rifle corp before they can ever make their points back. Trolls are basically pushed into running a beast brick, because PP saw how much everybody hated the Snipe Tax the Impaler placed on our ranged options, PP decided that every single beast in Trolls should be about 2 POW weaker than you'd naturally expect it to because paying the Rage Tax would be much more fun. This is 100% intentional on PPs part which is why the animus appears twice in the faction and the Mauler is so reasonably costed compared to the rest of the beast line up (looking at you 11 point Mauler). For your heavy options you've got the Mauler which is great and the Bomber who's also pretty good, the EBDT sucks as it's a 15 point heavy that can't kill a light jack without having a Mauler to follow it around casting Rage, Mulg is a shadow of his former self, the Blitzer has all the things people hated about him in MK2 because some moron designer at PP thinks that random RoF is 'fun' and Rok while very good is also quite expensive. Both of the Gargantuans are fine. This play style and the overall meta for MK3 basically puts the list of playable casters down to Gunnbjorn, Madrak2, Ragnor, Horgle2, Calandra since they're the casters who can deliver our pieces, or in Madraks case don't give a shit if everybody dies because they're going to do all the work themselves. The worst part is the obvious lack of care/work that was done on the Hordes side of things compared to the Warmachine, take a look at the complete lack of effort put into eBorka's redesign compared to how Karchev turned out, or hell look at pMadrak a caster who just straight up doesn't do anything well and has a terrible fury stat to boot. Every single Troll list these days goes Krielstone Mauler Axer Warders Fire Eaters Lanyssa Fit in what I can around the edges, it makes the faction very stale and boring, its why you're seeing so many veteran Troll players jumping ship.
psycojester the trollbloods player made some questionable decisions in their game. why didn't he attack the juggernaut for example? he probably would have done enough to kill him with rage and stone strength up.
Production quality is great but game quality is kinda poor. What I mean by that is for exemple, in MK3, you can premesure. In no way should the bomber be caught "off guard" by Wind Ravager from the Koldun Lord. It's like watching a 12 years old playing hockey on National TV. Yeah it's hockey and the image quality is good by they're 12 and it's not engaging to watch. I feel most of your videos are like this. Watching a player making rookie mistakes no matter how good the production quality is is not good enough for me. I really hope you don't get this comment as hateful because I really want you to succeed in making a good warmachine video. I like watching battle report but the 2x speed with voice over or the 2 hours+ are not attractive either.
Well in the Trolllblood players defense, this video was made only 4-5months after Mk3 came out, so "pre measuring" is probably not a habit one can develop quickly if you were mostly familiar with Mk2
So this is the secret, put a woman in charge and all of a sudden we have quality BatReps explaining what's going on. Seriously though this BatRep is very well done.

Nicely played game, Irusk 1 is one of those rare casters that just seems to have an answer for everything. That feat turn was brutal.
Given that the only question Madrak 1 asks is "can you hit Def 14 on one unit?" it's not that hard to have an answer.

Trolls are basically pushed into running a beast brick, because PP saw how much everybody hated the Snipe Tax the Impaler placed on our ranged options, PP decided that every single beast in Trolls should be about 2 POW weaker than you'd naturally expect it to because paying the Rage Tax would be much more fun. This is 100% intentional on PPs part which is why the animus appears twice in the faction and the Mauler is so reasonably costed compared to the rest of the beast line up (looking at you 11 point Mauler). For your heavy options you've got the Mauler which is great and the Bomber who's also pretty good, the EBDT sucks as it's a 15 point heavy that can't kill a light jack without having a Mauler to follow it around casting Rage, Mulg is a shadow of his former self, the Blitzer has all the things people hated about him in MK2 because some moron designer at PP thinks that random RoF is 'fun' and Rok while very good is also quite expensive. Both of the Gargantuans are fine.
This play style and the overall meta for MK3 basically puts the list of playable casters down to Gunnbjorn, Madrak2, Ragnor, Horgle2, Calandra since they're the casters who can deliver our pieces, or in Madraks case don't give a shit if everybody dies because they're going to do all the work themselves. The worst part is the obvious lack of care/work that was done on the Hordes side of things compared to the Warmachine, take a look at the complete lack of effort put into eBorka's redesign compared to how Karchev turned out, or hell look at pMadrak a caster who just straight up doesn't do anything well and has a terrible fury stat to boot.

Fit in what I can around the edges, it makes the faction very stale and boring, its why you're seeing so many veteran Troll players jumping ship.
psycojester the trollbloods player made some questionable decisions in their game. why didn't he attack the juggernaut for example? he probably would have done enough to kill him with rage and stone strength up.
Production quality is great but game quality is kinda poor. What I mean by that is for exemple, in MK3, you can premesure. In no way should the bomber be caught "off guard" by Wind Ravager from the Koldun Lord.
It's like watching a 12 years old playing hockey on National TV. Yeah it's hockey and the image quality is good by they're 12 and it's not engaging to watch. I feel most of your videos are like this. Watching a player making rookie mistakes no matter how good the production quality is is not good enough for me.
I really hope you don't get this comment as hateful because I really want you to succeed in making a good warmachine video. I like watching battle report but the 2x speed with voice over or the 2 hours+ are not attractive either.
Well in the Trolllblood players defense, this video was made only 4-5months after Mk3 came out, so "pre measuring" is probably not a habit one can develop quickly if you were mostly familiar with Mk2
So this is the secret, put a woman in charge and all of a sudden we have quality BatReps explaining what's going on. Seriously though this BatRep is very well done.
