Really sorry to hear that you're having such hard times... I've been watching your videos for a long while. You helped me get into DIY on my e87 118d and I'll always be grateful for your videos on the 1 series. Whatever you decide to get, if you continue making videos, I'll be sure to watch, your DIY content is top notch! Wishing you all the best from Europe!
Cheers man, that’s great to hear, it makes making these videos worth while! Yes, the 130i has got to go unfortunately, but I really appreciate you sticking around nonetheless 👍
I know you said you didn't want an e60, but E60 530i with the M54 has been a great car, tbh not as many module problems as you might think, I've only had to replace the headlight module
Sorry to hear your situation mate. Love your vids. I also drive am e60 M5, although much less than usual right now! I wish you the best of British Luck going forwards.
Hope you’re ok mate… never easy going through those times but hopefully in a years time on reflection you will be in a better position. The 130i is the reason I started watching this channel. Out of curiosity, would selling that and then buying an older still leave a good profit for you? Must be worth a bit more over there. Thanks for all your content man and wishing you all the best
Thanks for the kind words man, and following the channel like you have done, I appreciate it. 130i is now sold, I bought an older cheaper BMW to replace it
Sorry you’re goin’ through it man, hang in there. Tough times make strong men. Your videos have been invaluable to me as an E60 M5 owner who enjoys doing his own work. You’ve also got such an entertaining demeanor and your poise and humor comes through your videos so well. Looking forward to what comes next.
I would strongly consider keeping the 1 series. My E90 330i has been exceptionally reliable and cheap to own. The E39's and E46's are great but they are getting a bit old now and finding good ones is pretty hard. Also if you've already knocked over a lot of jobs on the 1 series it should be more or less maintenance free for a long time. If you can find a well kept one, the M30's in the E34's are basically bulletproof but obviously also an old car, although generally very cheap and easy to fix compared to the newer stuff. Best of luck, and I hope you continue making great content 🙂
Cheers Will, the E87 has to go, and it being at the point it was all well sorted does make even more unfortunate. True finding a good older/cheaper BMW has been pretty hard, I’ve been looking for a while now too
Sorry to hear that times are tough for you buddy. I have watched you and your channel grow from early on and I love the content especially the M5. I was thinking maybe a Mini Cooper/clubman S if it works for the Kids! It’s still a BMW (kinda) they are cheap to buy in the UK, smaller engine for daily fuel economy! At the age where people want to save money and do their own maintenance and plenty of them around so may attract people in numbers to your channel. I really hope this channel continuous to grow for you and starts paying you back for the hard work and the money it has saved your Subs in garage fees.
Cheers man, I did consider a supercharged cooper S, but there are a lot of ropey ones about now, and the FWD set up can make even the small jobs a mission. It would make good content but I think being my main car the build quality and the reliability issues would bite me in the end. Bit on the small side for me and my girls now too. Whatever I get, I hope I can continue to help some folk out with the videos 👍
Brother I feel your struggle with the cars and all but if you're tight on money right now just stay out of trouble. Get something simple, no big motor, manual gearbox, something known to run forever. You can always get something more to your taste some other time.
Sucks to hear about the rough patch mate, keep on hanging in there. Would a 6-cylinder E46/E39 really be that much cheaper to maintain than the 130i though? Your 1-series looks pretty well sorted and whatever you pick up you'll likely have to throw money at it in the beginning to get up to standard so any savings might be pretty marginal. Keen to see what you end up doing anyway. I'm a fellow Christchurch-based enthusiast, currently have an E46 325i Msport Touring that I've fully 330i & 5-speed manual swapped & gotten certed. Not looking to sell but could be keen to catch up sometime and chat cars. I've also just helped a mate manual swap his E39 530i so if you ever go that route would be happy to help out with that. Best of luck in your endeavours!
Sorry to hear the news :/ So no more 130i content for me to take advantage of, but I'll sick around because I like your style and personality. My dad drives a 323ti and it has been a great daily for him an you can go sub 7l / 100km on it.
Yes, the 130i has gotta go unfortunately!! I really appreciate you sticking around, and hopefully further BMW content will cross reference to a certain extent. The ti’s make good daily’s, might be a bit on the small side for me & my kids at the mo
Damn! You have a great personality and awesome videos! I wish all the best to you! You should have Buy Me A Coffee or something like that so we could support you. Good luck!

Chin up bro, times like these usually lead to much better things, your videos helped me a lot when i had my e60 m5, miss her though, cheers.
Cheers Jay, I would certainly miss it too! Good luck with your new M5 👍

i would go for a 530 e39 or a 535d e60 lots of tunning possible on that engine
E39 525/530d wagon 👍🏻
Hope things improve for you
❤

Cheers man, I might have to, to keep the channel going
If I see my average MPG at 14, it's a good day.
That is a good day! I was averaging less when daily driving the M5
@MTechGuy I can see that happening, especially in the city. Actually considering selling one of my cars and the M5 is a difficult one to let go.
For sure, there’s not much else like it out there!
I have a Hybrid car as daily driver.

Cheers Steve, really appreciate that! I’ll keep an eye out in the P.O. Box 👍 I do have a soft spot for the E46’s 🇬🇧🇬🇧
It seems to have helped me a lot. What should I do to contact you? Do you have Instagram? I'd like some advice on the engine noise of my car :-)
