It's been holding on super good. All in all the tune is maxed out in terms of reliability, anything over than low 300s (whp and lb-ft tq) is not safe for the cvt. That and taking good care of the car in general helps.
Only when it's in comfort mode, which is good for... comfort, and because it keeps the rpm between 1-1.5K it makes the straight pipe livable on a daily basis. On sport and sport+ feels like a different car, the downshift or upshifts are instant if you're using the paddles, and if you're using auto mode it's very aggressive. At 4:43 I put it on Manual mode and used the paddles for that lap, paddles are also responsive in comfort mode in case you need to downshift for whatever reason. It's not a nissan cvt by any means, and it's fun... not MT-level fun though. But the transmission + the adaptative suspension are an overall good combo for a comfy daily and capable awd sports car.
@@SouthernUnboxer my last car was a nissan versa which I got it as a base with a MT because I hated the cvt, just to end up with a subaru cvt haha but this is light years different. I also tested a crosstrek with a CVT and it's completely different than this. I have yet to test an outback which are similar but this has better software that makes it super responsive
Cool! I need to find a track like that near me. 👍
Insane power for the CVT, how has the car held up? People dog on the CVT's tuning ability/reliablity.

Does the cvt make the car feel sluggish compared to a traditional auto transmission?

@@RockNRollax01 Great to hear. I’ve had a cvt Nissan rental before and disliked how it felt. Thank you.
