- Spanning 460 acres, this plant was acquired by Tata Motors from Ford India on January 10, 2023. Now operated by Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Limited, it was re-tooled in just 12 months. Transitioning from the production of the Ford Figo and Aspire to Tata Nexon ICE and EV models, the change has been both rapid and remarkable. This facility is Tata Motors' second in Gujarat and is capable of producing four different platforms simultaneously.
The first ICE Nexon rolled off the assembly line here in January 2024. By April, the plant had begun producing the Nexon EV, ramping up production to meet the surging demand. Currently, the facility has the capacity to produce 300,000 vehicles annually, with the potential to expand up to 420,000. quality control dept esp. where third class sensors are installed
The area where you guys fit panels with uneven gap, missing nuts & bolts, and especially your alignment shop which kick off the fuck up
You should ask which we disliked the most, and it's their Quality Control and Quality Assurance 😅

But the vibrations cause pain in long drives.
We have had 3 Tata Vehicles. Flawless products. And, extremely helpful service. My sister had an accident while I was out of town. The service centre went out of their way to go and help her. Tow the Nexon. Facilitate repair, insurance claim and delivery. It was better than expected.

It is strange how a company as old n experienced as Tata has such lapses in their quality processes..
They don't have money to invest in manufacturing R&D.
Even after so much quality control how do TATA manages to provide substandard quality product?
Tata is targeting to touch global bar. You will definitely see quality improvement by maintaining safety also.

Who is that Car panel installer? 😅 he made extra size car by panel gaps.
I don't think those robots that stamp metal into body parts work 'precisely' at all. The uneven panel gaps in a same car is a proof of that. Also, it's inspection and quality control at each section is required, as Tatas are prone to all sorts of issues from metal corrosion to electronic failures. A final QC may never be able to check them all.

Where is the QC department, tata motors need more quality people in Quality department. Already facing lot of niggling and quality issues in my tata altroz dca. Parts like viper stalks, horn, dash oard panels, fuel filler cap assembly, rear parcel tray etc, are getting replaced one by one , additionally joint at of roof and C pillar needed to be welded seperately for a clanking noise. Feel like moving to consumer court now for this 8 months old problematic car. My 4yr old nios amt is far better than this scrap.

😂 exactly cheapest cheapest bol ke QC ka department nahi hai. I will never buy a tata car, currently own nexon petrol version. 3rd class vehicle in terms of quality. Cant be fooled again in the name of vocal for local and safety . Definately buying a European car for above 12 lakhs 😅
QC department is shifted to the safety department 😂. Hope someone in the world starts giving QC ratings as well then hopefully TM will start having a QC department as well.

Despite the emphasis on quality control, panel gaps are still quite noticeable in all Tata cars.
0:15 uneven panel gaps on the bonnet can be seen from the video itself 😭🫠

This video is too short a more detailed video around 20-25 mins focussing and emphasizing on the important parts of the process would be great.

Instead of focusing on their QC, Reliability and After sales service etc they are busy at playing politics and opposing the tax cut on hybrid cars which was proposed by Japanese manufacturers to the government.
Remember, Hybrid cars are the future not EVs..Soon we will see a lot of Evs stockyards because the majority of people aren't even considering it as their primary vehicle..due to problems like range anxiety, zero resale,very less charging infrastructure etc
I am satisfied with the altroz, despite my hyper driving and brutal driving, the car still performs flawlessly, no breakdown no broken parts no damage, nothing.

The quality of after sales service of Tata Cars at Tata Service Centres throughout India, needs to be upgraded like the service centre of Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai etc....
Final QC check is mess. I have Creative + , there are so many bugs in software, uneven panel gaps in bonnet, alignment issues & bugs in MID. Not sure how do they even pass QC?

Few design change needs to be reviewed. For cleaning, replacement of ac coil full dashboard has to be removed. New innovative design has to be implemented to solve this issue

After owning a tata car as 2nd car in the family. I am staying away from it forever 😂😅 such a poor quality cc .
Please tata owner look at the frame of the car, it made of circular pipe 😲 with ends open 😅 so that the water can go in and provide cooling for the car.
On a serious note those type of circular pipe is used in commercial vehicle like Force Cruiser 😂.
Tata need to move asap from lfp battery as they are unable to 1. Provide fast charge support 2. Niggle coming with LFP battery like hv error.

The time taken to build one car from the body in white stage is around 16 hours. However, this does not include the press shop stage

The only reason I haven't bought an EV yet is TATA MOTORS. I am really afraid of its QC. Other manufacturers are charging hefty amount of money for EVs. Hence, EVs sales are not picking up as they should.

TM is just for looks and safety. Quality is detorating. I have a Tigor, went with it due to some emotions attached to Indian brand. Apart from quality issues, service is pathetic.
Just not blaming the brand, but our hard earned money goes in it.

New Punch EV LR broke down twice on highway and twice near home within a week and less than 570km with Battery issue, currently in service centre. Please avoid Tata Motors Cars as their quality control is abysmal. Please don't be scapegoats and lose your hard earned money and mental peace.

Owner of nexon xz from past 6 years... Reliability is at it's peak with my car... Service is subjective to their choice of dealership... Let me tell you one thing.. Rusting takes place is you wash your car with bore water.. It should be done only at washing centres
