Bought tata tiago ev around 60 days ago. Was very happy with my decision until last week. This was when abruptly one day the car gave an error "HV critical alert" and didn't start. As soon as I googled the error I was surprised to see numerous articles, complaints, issues raised by tiago ev owners. I was completely shocked as it was highlighted by multiple owners that they got this error numerous times and some were even strangled in the middle of the road due to this issue as the car just won't start. My experience with the RSA is another nightmare which I won't mention here. My car is still at the dealership since last 3 days with no clear timelines or resolution informed to me yet. Wanted to highlight this to make the potential buyers aware of this issue as I wasn't aware of the same myself when I decided. Would this have been a deal breaker for me? 100% yes! I am not trying to influence anyone's decision, just want everyone to google the term "HV critical alert tiago" and you'll know for yourself.

Please also provide the latest update, as to how it was resolved. Also its better to keep calm and follow up with higher authorities and dealers and push them to do root cause analysis rather than panicking......

Bhai listen I have done Goa - Delhi in Tiago Ev Just 3 days it took with 4 people in car. The average range I got was 230 km on one charge. Tiago EV is not just for city
I think no one is going to buy this for race you should test it on the basis of value or costing for driving this on daily basis and also compare with CNG cars of similar pricings model.. should test its durability and many more 🙏

So true. As a punch ev owner and friends having Nexon, even they certify that Punch rear seats are better for sitting, better under thigh support, headroom. Nexon got the width, everything else not much. In the Nexon driving seat you sit too high compared to the roof, there is not much room, 6footer in the back will struggle. Above shortcomings are not there in Punch.
I havent personally sit inside the nexon, just straight booked punch. punch is lacking in wiggle space. but the 4 adults seated in their respecive seats are very comforable and held comfy by the seats . A small kid can sit in the middle, i am 6ft and seat set to my position i can sit easy at the back. great starter ev car.
Sharing my experience: Sir, I have bought Punch EV LR variant 3 months back. Day by day, the range (with AC on) increased from 250 to 300km (with energy efficiency 110-120). We live in north India and during extreme hot weather (40 degree+), the range decreased to 200-210, and energy efficiency increased to 160 (shocking). The climate system is consuming more battery (what I have observed!). Means, range has now decreased from 300 km to 200-220 km, i.e. more than 80-90 kms, which is a big figure! On the other hand, my driving behavior has improved from 7 to 8 (so range should increase, right ?). My daily kilometer calculations are being disturbed and now I am charging my car 3 more days in a month (consuming more electricity). This reduced range issue is also with one of my known, who is also using same PUNCH EV car. One thing more, this issue is not with my friend's Nexon EV, as it's range is reduced by 30-40 km only (during peak summers). Sir, I have approached Tata, but their response is not satisfactory. I have also shared my driving behavior figures, range display screenshots with them. What to do, please help!! (Still lot to say....)
EV battery and motor cooling system takes more power from Battery during summers to keep it cool. Nexon range has reduced less since it has a bigger battery, Nothing to worry its normal.....

I drove Mumbai to Goa and Goa to Mumbai in my Tiago Ev LR. What a beast on the highway NH66. Was getting a range of 240kms on average. Did the trip within 3k including driving in Goa. What an efficient, comfortable and functional car. It holds or sharp turns and is confidence deriving.
Tata EV price doesn't make sense to me . Tata should bring harrier EV . ICE SUV has 50% gst/cess , in EV SUV its just 5% . This tax cut itself is equal to price of battery pack and yet they sell EVs at high price . Additional to this , EVs get road tax waver as well . Tata should be able to offer harrier EV at lower than harrier ice ex showroom price . But problem is that these companies just want to loot , they use this opportunity to make money. Their EV performance isn't as expected . Hope government will teach them a lesson by bringing down tax on hybrid cars .
Why would the government teach a lesson to Indian manufacturers and Support Japanese manufacturers who are trying to mislead the public by wanting tax benefits for hybrid vehicles, which are even more polluting and expensive to maintain than EVs since they have both ICE Engine and battery.....
hey, can you do a comparasion between the newest nexon.ev long range VS the original nexon ev max? the older one had more torque and more punch but no drums at rear and slower 0-100 so it will be an interesting comparasion

punch has very bad interiors.. has very bad looking, 3rd grade black plastic on the dashboard and doors etc. the touch buttons look cheap and are inconvinient to use while driving the car. seats are very uncomfortable, even if compared to cheaper card like i10 or i20. i didn't like the car much. The LR variant seemed like a bit overpriced. Tata doesnt provide any information about the annual depreciation, above which a customer can expect tata to fix the battery. nor any information is available on the repair cost of batteries. For example, if you wanna know the cost for replacing 10 percent of the overall battery cells, that information is not available with even their sales or services teams.

I done rewa to Varanasi around 250 km with Tiago ev...my battery still 18 percent remains

CNG are outdated and not fun to drive. The cost of fuel is definitely good.

Sharing my experience:
