    I did the same to my truck and I drove it for about 600 miles then went and got it aligned again. At that point the coils settled and I changed out the bolts that initially wouldn't give much more , but at the time of realignment it gave much more due to Coils settling and now the truck is super level... I have 2011 ford ranger xlt 2.3 liter 4x2

    if you want to try and level the rear to the front, you might be able to use the second set of holes in the leaf spring shackle.
    with the rear lower kit you can actually achieve a 2,3,4,5 " drop.
    2"- just shackle
    3"-flip kit and 1st set of holes in shackle
    4"- flip kit and second set of holes in shackle
    5"- flip kit no shackles.

      Everything I used in the video is part of the DJM drop kit for the ranger you might be able to do something similar piecing it together on your own but might be difficult. After the flip the bigger shackles keep the bed from sitting to low and rubbing on the tires.

  • @brandondeel3567
    @brandondeel3567 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    I might be buying a 96 ranger with 22s on it and I want to lower it some but I think this drop might be too extreme for the size wheels. is the flip kit the only way to go about lowering the rear? I think I could get a max 2" drop in the front(probably a set of 2" spindles, if that's an option with a Ford) but idk what to do with the back. 3 inches is gonna be too much and I'm not about the squat look. do they make drop shackles for rangers or do you know of any alternatives?

    • @txmodnetwork
      @txmodnetwork  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can check the djm site and they may have some options for drop shackles available but im not certain these shackles have two settings and i have it as high as possible but it sits down more because my leaf pack is almost flat. Im looking into options for other shackles that would be slightly bigger so that i can even out the back to get rid of the squat look, because i dont particularly care for it either.

    • @brandondeel3567
      @brandondeel3567 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I did actually buy that ranger. Sweet little truck, I just need to get it a little lower. Stock suspension on 22s makes for a tall truck. Now that I have it home, I'm certain I could do 3 in the back but I'm worried about the front. The wheels rub at stock height, it'll probably be worse if I lower it. I guess I could try some spacers with a 2". I don't know much about Ford's, I've only ever had gm trucks before this and they're really easy to lower. Blocks and springs for just over 100 bucks for a 2/3 drop. I'll have to check out the site, thanks man.

    • @brandondeel3567
      @brandondeel3567 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      TxModNetwork when I said "they rub" they're hitting the sway bar so I'm not getting full lock. did some searching and I think I'm gonna get the 3/4" shackle and hanger set with air shocks in the back so I have some adjustability and just do 2" springs in the front with drop shocks. about $300ish with the shocks so that's not too bad. Those dream bars are kinda expensive for me right now. Wish it was as easy as a gm.

    You didn't need to notch the frame?

    • @txmodnetwork
      @txmodnetwork  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No because the back uses a flip kit. The next drop to go lower is a frame notch.

    • @txmodnetwork

      Yes makes a lot more of a difference than you would think, like having a truck with a 6inch lift where it looks like its much higher just reveresed with dropping a truck
