I'm an S-10 guy about to buy my first Ford, an 03 Ranger. First thing I'm doing is lowering it and this video was perfect to get an idea of what to expect. Awesome video, thank you!
Lowered mine 3/4 with djm and about to drop 2 more inches all the way around but I ran oem shocks for a while then upgraded to djm shocks and I'll tell you my ride quality has improved so much
When you lowered your front are you riding on the bumpstops? I cut mine in half and I’m firmly resting on bumpstops, even taking them out then it rests on the frame. Guess I need the DJM arms
I just lowered mine with the 3/5 drop.i removed the front bump stops off.has anyone else removed there front bump stops on there truck.turned out sweet
That roof still looks fine, just get a dent puller that has the weld on sticks and pull it and it should come out pretty decent then skim bondo it, or take the headliner out and get a ball peen hammer and hammer the dents out
Yup that’s all you use for the rear to flip the axle. But your not gonna get much lower without putting in a bolt in C-notch or youll be resting on the frame, if you added a lowering block as well that is.
Thanks for the video, Can you tell me how far it is from the opened tailgate to the ground with that drop? I'm going to run this exact setup to use as a lawn care truck and i'm curious if i'll even need a ramp at that height. Thanks.
Why anyone would lower these trucks is beyond me. Causes issues with camber and tire swear uneven. A lot of shit looks cool but I'm not fucking my truck up to look cooler.

Great video. I really appreciate the time you took to explain everything clearly. It was exactly what I was looking for! Thanks

Wow! Your truck sits just as low as mine and I have the djm 4/5 kit on my 2001 ranger. Sweet ride👍 awesome vid

Any possibilities to send me the link for this kit.
Can you send the link where you purchased the kit
How do you prevent the camber?
I just lowered mine with the 3/5 drop.i removed the front bump stops off.has anyone else removed there front bump stops on there truck.turned out sweet
How does it ride being that low? Can't decide a 2/3 drop or 3/5 drop
what size are your tires in the front? do you experience any rubbing?
Am I the only one hearing a rooster crowing lol 😂 dam I’m not crazy
What rooster? I didn't hear any rooster. Yeah, you're crazy. Lol
Freight Train yes you are
There was a Rooster...
What's the tire size? It looks like my 96' stock after the drop lol
How’d you fix the front camber?
Any alignment issues with the front? Do you think alignment bolts would solve the negative camber in the front
It's a really good idea to go get it aligned after dropping it! :D
Cool video brotha!!!
Post another one when you get more low 🤘🤘

2years later any updates on this truck? Still have it?
angles?
I ran into some problems on mine. The pin that holds the lead pack together has to be flipped around hopefully after this mine will be done
What size tire u have on it
What kind of shocks are running on it
What size tires do you have on the Ranger?
I tried to look this up and couldnt find the kit. Would you be able to post the link for it.
How much did this cost you in total? Yours looks great, I have an '01 supercab and plan on doing this
Same process For a 96 ford ranger ? I believe mine has the I beams
The stock shocks will bottom out, must change shocks.
How does.it ride is the main question? Looks good..but does it ride good?
It rides like a lowered vehicle. Not like stock. But if your bushings aren't already blown out its not bad.
@@robs_garage4790 Do you know the part# for the kit or have a link...
@@robs_garage4790 When you got the alignment .. is there any camber issues ? Now you have been driving it...any inside tire wear?
Nice
What website did you get them from? I have a 1999 sport and I want to drop it also
Is that standard?
So you just used the black u piece you bought for the rear same shackles N all ?
I was looking to do the same to my 98
Now that u have it flipped u can use drop blocks right?

decent truck! can't understand why the bed was butchered. i have a 2002 4.0 long bed with 218,000 on it.
So you were able to use oem shackles?
Yeah, it’s hard to find the right size for the axle off a shelf. They’ll work fine if you don’t use drop blocks.

What size is the wheels on your ride!

Does it ride good or super stiff?
Lol not surprised mazda bseries and ranger sharing parts
They're literally the same truck made in the same factory. Later STX Rangers came with Mazda beds.
Did a 3-5 djm on my 2000 and love it
What's the website for the dream beams .
