@gdub12345 Nice to hear! I've heard of low power with the HW80 when fitting a V-Mach kit. Some said it's the wider piston seal of the V-mach kit. Maybe you have to re-size the seal to get optimum results. Hope you enjoy your HW80! :)
Hey man, good to see your videos are back up, I was looking for the dissambely one Saturday as I fitted a V Mach Kit to my 80K, it shoots really nice now, no spring twang at all. and cocks very smoothly. I think I will have to take it apart again and put in a couple more of the washers as the power has dropped slightly, when I chronographed it, I just have to keep it under 12 ft/lbs over here, but will probably aim for around 11 just to keep it on the safe side.
@2lbsTrigrPull Well with the original spring it was only running just over 10 ft/lbs anyway :S, I added another washer and the nylon spacer and now it is doing 10.4 ft/lbs and I still have 3 washers left. Going to dissasemble and try another 2 washers and that should hopefully get the power up to around 11. I'm not too bothered about getting it right on the limit that is stupid, I just want the optimum balance of good power and good shooting. Keep up the good work with the videos!
Hi all, need some help.. got a MK1 hw80 made in 1970ish.. no problems at all till today.. when I cock it the mechanism goes completely loose. Watched this vid and followed it to the t but keeps on happening. Looks like the slide comes out of the little steel cylinder. Am I doing anything wrong or do you think with age it's lost a couple of thousandths of an inch?? Great vid btw really well done
I bought a brand new hw80 carbine and the piston was scratched and battered to hell lol i realised after i de-burred it and buffed the piston then autosoled it why it was battered up ..it was to get the ftlb down to uk limit so i had to re-batter it to get the ft lbs back to legal limit and de-moly it and put axle grease back in 😅
Looks very well finished gun...
Very helpful, thank you so much!

Hi. Where did you buy it from? Hope it wasn’t Mundilar. I am about to order from them the high powered version. Hopefully I don’t get a 7J BB gun.
